Beautiful park with beautiful views. The castle is sealed off so it cannot be entered but it is beautiful to see. There are easy trails to do here, bathrooms on site, and a covered Pavillion. Parking is on site as well. There were a lot of bugs so Id suggest bug spray!

This is a very interesting place with a history. It is close to a parking lot and just behind the Paw Paw shelter house, but the hike to the tower is all uphill and the path could be improved. The trees are pretty in the fall. The door to the tower is just a slab of cement preventing anyone from entering the tower.

Just a super cool old local POI that as teenagers most all of us have visited and told stories about. And truth is that BSA built it in the early mid 20th century as a project. It originally also had a cupola style top on it that was removed many years ago. Real fun spot to visit!

Havent been here in quite some time but loved it as a teenager/young adult. The boarded up door was a kinda creepy looking grate but wasnt locked back then (or maybe the lock was constantly broken). Me and friends would just go hang out. Back then you could go inside but not onto the roof. However, I have a feeling they closed it because of all the graffiti artists and the fact boys were using it as a urinal. Pretty sad.

There are trails there for regular walking, if you want to go to the castle you have to go up a trail behind the picnic shelter.

I grew up in this neighborhood, as did my father before me. This landmark is known as the Witchs Tower by locals. Until Google Maps decided to call it Frankensteins Castle sometime in the past decade, Id never ever heard it called that. To me, and anyone else who grew up here, this will always be the Witchs Tower.

Came with 2 other friends. Beautiful place, interesting landmark. But there were 3 girls standing/sitting on the roof of the structure. We asked how they got up there and they said they climbed through the bottom. My friends and I all walked around, but couldnt find any possible point of entry. We then started to ask again, but they were no longer there.
