Great beach. Not very crowded. Only 6 parking spots at the beach. Need to park along Rt 9 and walk or bike in.
Secluded, peaceful, scenic, awesome beach. If you are in Kennebunk, dont miss it! A walk along the beach here shows how the rich people live... Im just saying...There are only a few parking spots near the entrance, so I suggest going on a weekday or else very early on a weekend to get a spot... itll be worth your effort, I promise!
My personal favorite beach! Feels very private, and has room to explore!
Great little known beach. Shhhh
Its a great beach during low tide (I only go there to walk).
Nice beach for beach goings. Lots of sand and water.
Great stretch of beach, parking is tricky in busier seasons and theyve decided to limit the parking area which allows for probably 8 cars max near the beach. Otherwise you have to park on route 9 or adjacent Brown St and walk a 1/4 mile or so.
I have been going there for years and know you have to get up early for a parking spot. Well you now have to get up at 4 am to snag one of the only seven spots they have now. Very disappointing! Unless you are onto parking a half mile away and try to cross a road with cars going 50 miles per hour you are out of luck.
Beautiful beach but very limited parking. Dog friendly.
Just a beautiful place.
Love this little beach, get there early (9am or so) to try and get a parking spot. There are only a few right by the beach. If you dont get one (we didnt) you can park about a half mile down the road which isnt too bad of a walk on a nice day. The beach/water can be a bit rocky depending on where you set up and where the tide is at.
Theyre only seems to be about enough parking for six cars, but if you can get a spot this is a quiet isolated Beach. Go off-season & its a nice place getaway
Its a very peaceful beach with very little parking. Its a lovely walk and at the far end is rocks with a lot hermit crabs. Its great for an after noon walk though. Also the waves are usually pretty calm and there isnt many rocks during high tide. Good place to swim with kids. Better than Wells beach.
Beautiful place not alot of parking though
Theres very little parking available due to construction but if you can find an open spot its worth it as the beach is secluded and lovely.
Cold and quiet. Want the land owners to know that we really appreciate being able to use their property. Talk about building social capitol. They know where its at.
Beautiful & peaceful. No amenities. Very limited parking
Sweet waterfowl. COLO, RNGR, RBME, WWSC, SUSC, COEI, etc.
Beautiful!
Needs more parking. The beach is absolutley lovely, although we had a hard time finding parking and had to wait.
Be in shape only 5 parking spaces have to park and walk .but a nice beach
Beautiful less crowded beach. Not much parking, however thats why its less crowded. Locals and some tourists in nice mix.
One beach which is not visited by big crowds - you can enjoy some sort of privacy. Ideal for walks, watching wildlife, enjoying with family and kids or just sitting with a book and being in nature. Beach is privately owned but open to the public. Dog and pet friendly, very limited parking space! - keeps the crowd away :)
I just love this place its so full of peacefulness views of the ocean
Parsons Beach, nice place.
A truly special place. Worth the walk if spaces arent available near the entrance path.
Great walk in the winter.
Beautiful. A must see.
Empty and dog friendly
Very small parking are along the road to the beach. On a cloudy, cool Saturday, the parking was full by 1000. Beach was pretty though, and lots of little canals fee by the ocean back behind the dunes. So there is plenty to walk around and look at. I saw some kayakers too.
Wonderful beach. Cant wait to visit again.
Nice quiet beach. Not much up close parking and tends to fill up fast because it is free parking.
Chill and laid back beach with limited parking keeps the crowds at bay. A river inlet adds to the appeal and you get a marsh experience with fresh and salt water mixing. A great spot for paddling, but not much in the way of surf. Good for kids, but mind the rocky stretches. That said, theres plenty of sand to dig your toes into.
Great little beach. Little parking, but a beautiful drive down. This is where the Mousam River meets the Atlantic Ocean so with the tides comes great fishing via the shores or boat off the bend. Very rocky this year.
Unblemished beach, clean, few visitors, the sea, the wind, the crashing waves...heavenly.
Its gorgeous. Leave it alone.
Clean..not crowded
Great views, free parking, and away from traffic.
Great viewing area! They should create a better, more arranged parking area.
Nice small Beach. Typical of southern Maine. Parking is Very limited. Dogs not permitted during summer months.
Love this beach its hard to find parking in summer or it would be five stars
Very little parking at the beach. Most is a walk away.
A nice beach away from the big groups of people!
Awesome spot, little parking but not a problem for early arrivals
If you can get a parking space its AWESOME
Great place to spend the day parking is limited however so i would arrive early
Sad to say the owners have limited parking to only 10 cars in a close proximity to the beach. You have to park at least a half of mile away and walk back to the beach
Good beach to spend the day and good fishing location.
Very limited parking but lovely quiet beach
Been going since I was 5 love it!#
Beautiful, private, peaceful beach with a great walk around the back
Awesome PlaceNeeds better parking
Parsons Beach is located at the mouth of the Mousam River, a saltwater estuary along the protected Kennebunk Salt Marshes, and the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge. The road leading to Parsons and the beach is private property that the owners have granted public access to. Dogs are not allowed on the beach to the south west of the sandy beach access trail. Visitors are prohibited from waking off the trails into the seagrasses. Tidal changes from low to high reveal a rocky coastline with scattered driftwood trees throughout the area. Fishing is popular at the mouth of the Mousam and will require a saltwater fishing license sold at most sporting goods stores such as LL Bean or Cabelas. Kayaking and canoeing is popular along the Mousam and many float the estuary to the beach as the tide flows out, spend a portion of the day at the beach, and then float back up the estuary when the tide flows back in. Parking is very limited along Parsons Beach Road and no permit is required. Across route 9 additional parking can be available during the more popular summer months. There are no restrooms at Parsons and one porta-potty is located at the sandy trail that leads from Parsons Beach Road to the beach. All trash must be carried out...please remember, this is a private property and the owners were gracious enough to allow the public access to this beautiful location.
Primitive. Lovely beach walk. Minimal sand at high tide. Portapotty.
Beautiful, but bring mosquito repellent.
My favorite beach in kennebunk area
