Way better than the name would lead you to believe. The park has a paved path through the center, as well as many walking pass through the forest near the stream. The only know I would say about the walking path is that it needs some repair work because theres tree limbs that have attempted to grow through the asphalt. A nice place to visit anytime of the year.
Small wooded area with short trails and lots of blackberries bushes. Theres a decent sized creek running through whichs pretty much the main attraction. Not very interesting.
Nice park that makes you feel like youre not on a city
Nice park to go for a walk and explore the trails. The creek is fun for kids to go wading and swim a little in. Not very deep in most places, few feet at the most.
Expected a bit more from this park on a sunny day but overall it is really good park to spend your day. I would recommend to reach early as good spots usually get filled by large families.
We took our day campers on both a nature hike to play in the creek. Great time for all!
Quiet little park with a nice paved trail and several small on paved trails. 1 mile from my home so I walk my dog here a couple times a week. Theres a Creek area that the dogs and kids can get in and play in the water, very small access now. Also a picnic area farther along the trail. Used to be really great for families with a sweeping grass area and picnic areas by the water but they ruined that by spending zillions on supposed flood repair, which the river destroys every winter. No idea why they keep doing that why cant they just leave it natural and save every one money. Its probably to save a couple houses on the floodplain who shouldnt have built the houses there but dont know why the entire Community needs to pay for that.
Hidden gem in the area. Small park but offers a short paved walk/bike trail and a picnic area.
This place is always such a calm cool place to be on a hot summer day all the people I run into are quite friendly
Great place to stay cool in the summer and for the kids to explore year round. We love this park!
Grew up near here, it was always fun to go swim in at the end of summer. Also a fairly good place to walk dogs around on leash. Theres a path to the elementary school nearby if youre taking your kids - that school has a playground to use, as well as a basketball area and a field. The park also has some picnic tables, which makes it a good place to eat at if you like being surrounded by beautiful nature.
This place has it all! Just as it says, a swamp, a creek and a park! Oh and it is totally Wall-less. That area of Kenmore is booming with high density housing, couldnt figure out if I was on the right road to my buddies house until I saw the park, its been ten years since I was up that way. One thing hasnt changed tho, the cops are laying in wait to prey upon those who feel like they have found a country road, turn up the music and let the wind blowing their hair distract the focus from staying within five over the speed limit.
For a neighborhood park, this place is great. I love walking through here no matter the season. Its never too crowded or loud and I usually only encounter people walking their dogs or pushing their strollers. In the summer time, a local guide gives tours the second Monday of each month. Totally worth checking out if you want to learn about the park and meet some local neighbors.
As with most parks there isnt a map of the parks layout. Being disabled I use a walker but that doesnt stop me from trailblazing and 4wheelingwalker I feel a map would be useful. I found this place via a search looking for off leash dog parks. It said it was one so Arie my lovely miniature American Shepherd and I headed straight there. I pulled in to the parking lot to find a great space. Upon getting out of my car I spotted a sign that was contradictory to the descriptionof the park. LEASH PETS AND PICK-UP THEIR DROPPINGS bags are supplied. Just about this time a gentleman appeared with his dog. I inquired about the off leash issue and was assured most everyone had thier dog off leash. The trails are well kept and I wandered upon a lagoon fed by a stream on one end then exits on the other end. wonderful! I will return to investigate more of the park.
Amazing creek and very relaxing for camping.
The park is actually kind of small but all the trees are so huge that you feel like youre in some deep woods and theres lots of cool creeks going through it, definitely a place I would recommend for anyone with the dog or just a little bit of free time
Paved path to walk on. Stream and dog friendly. Overall beautiful hidden gem!
We love this park because of the variety of nature experiences you can have here without having to drive somewhere remote
My dog and I go to this park several times a month! It is a leash only park but has lots of interesting smells and areas to visit.
I love walking with my kids here its so peaceful.
Beautiful nature trail system next to a fast moving creek. Trails are both paved an unpaved. I’d give this trail 5 stars if dog owners would obey the signs posted throughout the park. They are not above the law. Not all dogs get along, just like not all people get along. Also, some people have allergies or have a fear of dogs. I have two dogs and they are always on a leash. If I want them to be able to roam around unrestrained, I let them out in my backyard or go to an off leash park.
We love coming to this park. Theres a nice paved trail with a bridge over Swamp Creek. There are also side trails to wander on. We love coming during different times of year to see how things have changed and my kids love feeding the chickens at the end of the trail. Its a fun family park.
What a beautiful place for discovery. Must have been an old farm for something :) theres a beautiful Creek that runs through great for dogs even though they must be on leash.
Small but lovely park, great place for dog walking, but they must be leashed, and nice picnic area. Its not called a swamp for no reason and can get very muddy away from the main paths, especially after wet weather.
One of my favorite parks for a stroll and picture taking. Always quiet and serene.
Lots of trails lots of wildlife you can swim catch cradads and have a great time!!! Clean and dog friendly!!
Great park. Would be nice if there was an off leash dog area
Loved nature walking trail
New sign posting about a live trap across the river. Pretty worrisome. Also, shattered glass on the paved path. Picked up the bigger pieces but tons of tiny pieces left. Normally a 5 star park but this experience changed things. Be careful.
Beautiful location if you dont know what it is you are looking at. Very
Love have the creek and growth changes from year to year
Love the tree trunk over the water!!
Really nice hidden place where you can feed the local chickens
We took some Mothers Day pictures there and it was beautiful
Gem in the woods. Beautiful nature. Log over the creek is very tempting and a little dangerous. Still, awesome! Chickens to feed, bring quarters!
Wonderful view of Seattle skyline and Puget Sound. :)
Great place, especially if you happen to be dog people
Nice paved trail with some sort trails to sit alongside the creek peaceful and lovely
Its so secluded. The creek is so fun to run the kids and the dogs in to cool off. I love coming here and sitting on the log to just relax. Try it.
Very cool spot that feels nice and secluded
I love this place for watching birds. Fairly level loop trails. Lots of dogs with their people. One trail had a muddy place but it wasnt hard to get around.
I literally drive 10miles just to go here. Lots of friendly dog walkers. Variety of trails. One large paved one, also many smaller and some tiny. Beautiful riparian beaches. We love going here. Be prepared for muddy trails.
Nice park for walking the dog and letting them swim. Most people are nice and friendly dogs off leash.
Such a nice place to take the kids
Great place for my dog to swim
Park has a ice small parking lot. Trails are a mix of paved with picnic tables as well as dirt paths through the forest. many of the paths dead end but it is fun for short walks and there are lots of creek access points.
Active little park. Great for dogs and dog owners! Owners, need to remember not everyone likes your dog the way you love your dog.
Nice little park. Nature in town. Feed the chickens west of stream.
Fav Kenmore spot
Awesome city park that feels like it is in the country or mountains.
Awesome walking experience, very relaxing and peaceful
Childood memories. Beautiful park. Secret is to go up the stream
Good Kenmore city park. Creek deep enough for the dog to swim..
Always a nice easy walk. A familiar trail to watch as it changes during the seasons.
This park just keeps getting better and better every year.
Great spot for a walk, a bike or a bird watching. Small swimming hole the neiborhood kids can swim in during the hot summer.
Nice easy walking. Great for dogs
Clean fun quiet place for dogs and humans
Its nice and pretty but its got a smell like a septic tank a little bit the last Tuesday it was sunny
Clean up your dog poop please. Had a couple incidents, but nice place.
Nice small park with ample walking/trail room. The bridge over the water is beautiful. A great place to relax at, very, very quiet.
Calm and quiet. Nice for walks.
A beloved park, no better place to walk your dog. Picnic and seating areas available but limited. Entire park is under a thick canopy.
Interesting trails with lots of fallen tree trunks. Swamp Creek is great for family, and tons of wild Himalayan blackberries in the Summer.
Great trail :)
One of our dogs go tos.
Nice enjoyable park.
Great place to take the kids and dog to cool off and play in the creek.
Nice park to walk kids and pets. No play ground, but nice woods.
Pokemon and tranquility walks.
Good place to take a dog
Great little spot, a quiet and small park with a creek and pond
Peaceful and wonderful place
In the same great place since I was a kid
This is an ON LEASH dog park. Not off leash, as other reviewers have stated. Also, it is pretty muddy and borders on someones property so we found ourselves faced with private property signs.
Great place to let your dogs run off leash and swim with trails that run along side the creek.
Very short trail, I dont know why it is listed as a dog park as there really isnt much to do there with your dog since it isnt off leash. Access to a river for the dogs to dip their feet in.
The calmest, peacful, while a new adventure is around every corner
Nice walk and very peaceful.
Nice little park. Give it a visit!
Great place for a walk
Quite and serene
It was ok, smaller than expected and could use some groundwork done.....horrible mosquito problem so bring lots of bug spray!
I like swimming in the creek
Nice park
This was not a good park. Kind of dirty and gross.
Nature rocks
Home
