The only reason Im giving one star is because zero isnt an option. I tried to turn in an application because I had the intention of purchasing a mobile home there and was treated like a criminal. (Um hello?? Im employed at an elementary school working on my teaching degree )I am now going to have to break it to the sweet gal I was planning on buying from that I refuse to deal with such a rude woman.

Can I give a zero star!? I was approved, had my deposit paid, background approved and even had my dog approved by Bob showed him pictures and everything. He knew I was in a situation where I needed to find a place asap. I waited 3 weeks for them to remodel this trailer only for Glad to call me THE DAY BEFORE I was to move in and tell me I make the final call and not allowing your dog so get rid of her or you cant move here mind you my dog is a 13 year old lab/boxer emotional support dog. And she wants to argue with me about how shes a pitbull and dangerous. Most unprofessional, rude, UNEDUCATED lady I have ever spoken too.

This are the most unprofessional people I’ve met in the industry.A little bit of background to this story. My family and I are hispanic and we’re planning on moving to Kearney because of my education path. We stumbled upon a rental from East Lawn Estates on Trulia. As soon as the contact happened, the issues began. First of all, the property that we initially wanted to rent was already rented but was not off the market on Trulia, but still, when we contacted Bob, he said he had some other properties he could show us. We met up with him and we decided to apply to one of them, which had a $15 fee for each adult on the household. He said he would contact me as soon as he had the background check, and we also talked about some arrangements since we have pets (which are the main deal of this whole story) that included fees and fencing the backyard of the property we were trying to rent just so neither the dogs or neighbors had issues. It’s important to say that Bob did see pictures of the dogs and said that there wouldn’t be any issues regarding the pets since they were small and old. Overall (to this point), Bob was a good spokesperson, but after the tour he was a really bad mediator. Our main concern is that Bob’s wife, whose name I can’t remember, was a complete failure as a contract dealer. To begin with, we held a 21:35 minute conversation over the phone where she basically asked me multiple times about our legality and immigration status, accused us of having bad intentions with the properties, used past experiences to compare us, talked about her personal life, and was overall extremely racist and had a terrible attitude. After that phone call, there was a storm in town and we were never notified about anything that had happened to it, even though we were supposed to sign the contract on June 1st, which was about three days after the day of the storm. WE decided to call Bob and asked him about it. He was really mean and not willing to help, and he finally said that there was a huge leaking in the house they had to take care of before possibly renting. He said he would call the next Monday to update us on the progress, which he never did. That’s when I called again, and was told to wait even more. The last circumstances are the ones that make me want to write about this whole experience. i happened to be on Kearney and my dad and I decided to stop by to ask Bob personally about the house. As I get there, Bob was arriving from a house tour, and his wife was on the office. She starts by saying that we’re supposedly closing the deal on the 15th (today’s the 10th). We obviously were really confused by this. Turns out, Bob had never called us, and apparently, he had no intentions of doing so. After Bob leaves the office for another showing, she starts asking a bunch of questions about the rental, which are all focused on the pets now. She starts by asking what breed my dogs are. One of them is a poodle, and the other one is a 12-year-old MIXED spayed female. She got really overwhelmed by the fact that the dog was mixed and she started to say that it was a Jack Russell Terrier and we clarified that we didn’t know what her breed was since we rescued her twelve years ago when she was only weeks old, so she has no pedigree or family history (obviously), but she got really frustrated and the discussion got really heated, to the point that she started acting racist and mistreating me and my dad. She definitely made me tear up because of how bad the conversation was. At this point, I have to mention that my dad doesn’t speak English, and she would not give me time to translate. When she had no other way to fight us, she said “You know what? You’re giving me trouble.” And she continued to say a bunch of stuff while I was trying to convince my dad to leave since I felt so offended by everything she was saying. She finished everything by calling me a “brat” and we left.In conclusion, they were literally looking for a reason to not rent us, we lost money applying, we were offended, and definitely tricked by this racists.
