This was our first movie outing since COVID started and we had some hesitation since there seems to be a spike in cases recently in Houston. We did like that when booking the theater you can see the seats that have been taken and the ones that have been blocked to ensure social distancing. We felt the risk was low and since this is a large theater operation we were likely to have plenty of space from others. The theater is at one end of Katy Mills mall and you can generally avoid the crowd but Ill admit that as we entered that was where I may have felt the greatest risk. The mall is getting older so it looks worn and as you approach the entrance to the theater you dont get the Hollywood premiere theater feeling, but once we got in, it was very nice. Employees wearing masks spaced apart we had our phone stubs scanned. We were going to try to order concessions from the app while we parked but there was a 15 minute advance order requirement so we waited for that till we got in. Nobody else at concessions so we ordered and got our stuff and the young man was curteuos, friendly and very observant of social distancing and minimal contact rules. From there to the theater... it was a smaller room, which was great with very comfy recliners and plenty of space from one row to the next. The screen was great, the sound was great, the seats were great and the concessions were fresh. In the end about 10 people in the theater with us, very spaces apart, wearing masks. I felt safer here than at the grocery store.The movie was just late enough that we exited after mall crowd was gone. It was a great experience. If we go to the theater again soon, this will likely be the place.

This movie theatre has been recently remodeled with comfortable recliner seats plus now you can also purchase and reserve your seats online. Not entirely sure if all areas have been updated at this moment; restroom areas would greatly benefit from some revamping as well. Early birds are rewarded with great ticket pricing for their earliest screening times. Be prepared to pay should you decide to go at night. There is a bar area in the lobby that includes a TV screen should you want to grab a drink and catch how the game is going. I highly recommend joining their rewards program which include perks such as waived online convenience fees, free birthday popcorn plus rewards obtained from your purchases. Reward members also enjoy refills on sodas and popcorn. Facility is clean and crew is very friendly. Highly recommend as an affordable option as long as you go the right days at the right times. **UPDATE 6/27/18: AMC has made permanent the $5 Tuesday promo. I went last night to watch Jurassic Park and it was a real mess. Theatre was extra packed due to the busy summer season. There was trash on the floor and the bathrooms were dirty. Also the a/c was off with plenty of kids and babies crying inside the theatre. Youve been warned!**

Went there with my kids over the weekend and had issues at concessions where it made us late to the movie. Very poor customer service there. HOWEVER, I was able to speak to the lady at the ticket counter (who is just the sweetest, helpful woman) and then to the manager (who is very professional, friendly, and who listened to and acknowledged my problem) and was able to get a refund and get my issue resolved. Based on my experience with these 2 awesome ladies, I will be definitely giving them another shot, and am looking forward to going back.

They are the very best, we lost my husband wallet and they took their time to look for it and called us to come pick it up. Nothing was missing. The environment is always clean

Oh my!!!!! This was the first time this year I went to see a movie. Thanks to google for giving me a $7 off coupon. Then we went to see the movie called Instant Family. Its November 2018 so if youre reading my review at some later date- dont judge me. I love popcorn but the one we purchased at the venue was a little bland for my tastebuds. We had the best crowd at the viewing room and everyone laughed at the right time not some awkward random laughs here and there. I recommend as the overall experience was smooth and memorable. Kinda weird I said smooth lol

Fun having our own theatre for a movie.

It was not packed, they kept the social distancing part well. But our seats were filled with the last shows trash! Did not appreciate having to move a strangers food leftovers in order to sit down

The theater was nice, but the price was higher than most other theaters around. I only went here because I had a coupon - the receipt showed the discount price, but they still charged me the full amount. I had to go back in to the theater to get it fixed which turned into a project. I would not likely go to this theater again.

I rode the train with my daughter and my two grandchildren at Katy Mills Mall. We made a great memory as a family. My 3 year old grandson was fascinated with the pleasures that await him as he matures. He especially enjoyed watching the preteen bungee jumpers! We ended our adventure with yummy chocolate chip cookies. My nine month old granddaughter proudly used her first two teeth. Katy Mills has Big Fun for all ages! Enjoy!!!

My boyfriend and I come here all the time thats why we joined the A List which is where you pay monthly and you get to see three movies a week. I love this so much its really worth your money if you go to the movies as often as we do its great the only reason its not getting five stars is because of the service. Another perk of A List is you dont wait in line but thats never been the case for us. We wait in the special yellow paved line everytime we have to wait for the others who are in the non paying line. Its kind of ridiculous to offer that and not train your employees to know they have to service us first. As well theyre pretty sarcastic at times honestly all the girls that work there have always been nice but the guys who work there its like theyve never been in customer service before or something. Either way Ive been to other AMC theaters simply because I didnt want to put up with them and the one on HWY 6 has great service but alas they dont have the good seats. I hate spending so much money and not being able to just be treated nice. I do want to end with a good note not every time we go its a problem. Its normally a good time hell a great time I love the movies in general but if you sincerely dont care about customer service then this theater is great its never been dirty when we get to our seats and the food has always been hot and good.

Had alot of fun with the whole theater to our selves for date night. Was able to really enjoy the new star ears movie. The staff wasnt very helpfully at concession though so I cant give 5 stars

We had our food delivered to us in our seats. Popcorn was good and seats were comfortable and reclined. It was great. Restrooms dont have hooks on the doors and werent that clean. But was a good experience.

My favorite AMC ever. Excellent location right near the mall entrance. All seatings are recliner. They have a bar that opens at 11am thru end of dayThe Dolby cinema hall is excellent. You can actually sit in the front row and still enjoy the movieWhen they have major movie releases they have free memorabilia sitting on a table near the entrance

Great establishment. AMC at Katy Mills is a great movie theater specially if you have little ones and you are planning on doing more activities with the kids before or after the movie.

Great new reclining seats, theater was very clean. Popcorn and Coke, both large, was $16 and some change. Thats crazy, its popcorn for goodness sakes, and not even hot! You have to get your own Coke, they just hand you a cup- WAY overpriced.

Great picture and sound, as always but this was our first time ordering concessions ahead. Getting everything delivered to our seats, right when we wanted was fantastic. No lines and no hassle!

AMC used to be a good and convenient place to go especially since it was at the mall. The past few times I have gone, there has been a huge mess with popcorn everywhere and sticky counters and floors. They have been short staffed a lot and even the popcorn barely had flavor. While the rewards system is great, I wouldnt mind spending a few extra bucks at Alamo Drafthouse for better service and a better quality of food.

Purchased tickets online and got them sent to my mobile. Only one person was assigned to scanning them in at the entrance (7pm on a Fri.) So there was still a line. Seats in theatre 4 were the best I have had in an AMC ever. Fully adjustable and vert comfortable. In comparison to other theaters the screen was kind of small but overall good experience.

I was very alarmed and disappointed by the concession stand employees, 3 of whom I observed snacking or handling their devices while also serving and handling food orders. It wasnt until I asked to speak with a manager that 2 managers/supervisors appeared from the back. The workers I observed touching their mouths and dealing with cell phones were all young teens/adults and unsupervised. Hand washing and other rules that prioritize and promote general public health need to be enforced at this location ASAP!

Went and saw the Invisible Man, and we had the whole theater to ourselves and two others. Always nice amenities and fresh popcorn.

I love this theater & the staff. Everyone is so courteous. I visit 3 times a week thanks to my AMC Stubbs A List membership. The recliners are very comfortable.

Clean and comfortable. I do think the concession way way over priced though as are all movie theaters. I mean there was three of us and it cost almost $37.00 for two small bags of popcorn and three regular sodas. Really?? Two of us are seniors and the cost of the tickets were just under $30. That was high enough but the concession prices were ridiculous!

It would be nice to see more blacks working there make the place more pleasant poor customer service

Honestly, this is my backup theater. If I go hear to see a movie, its because I can afford to possibly be around obnoxious people and situations. Decent seating, they dont always recline as if the pair of seats are unplugged, they dont work. Last row against the wall doesnt go as far back neither. Typical concessions, but also has food to order as well as adult drinks. They will also bring them to your seat of you use their it the Atom app to get tickets as you can order good there as well but Ive never tried it. Conveniently in the mall too, but that convenience comes with a price... Usually on weekends All in all, still an average movie theater.

Before the movie the restrooms were a mess. I get that the guest make the mess but it looked like it doesnt get taken care of. After the 3hr movie the restrooms were better. Otherwise the theater itself was nice

Watching Sonic today at 7:30pm on Thursday and they havent come to clean the seats. Rude and nasty.

This theater has great prices, and since the updated the theaters it is very nice. Today the staff at the consessions were very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond.

Took my family out for a matinee. Ticket buying was a breeze online as youre able to choose your seats in advance. Most theaters do this now to allow a group to seat together. Horseplay among the staff isnt something I was expecting. Leather reclined seating but not fully. The area we sat in was littered with popcorn. Arent they supposed to clean for the next guests to enjoy their movie. Instead of the horseplay, they should be cleaning. Will not visit again.

Its a really nice theater

The theatre has changed so much over the years. It has ample space and seating in every theater. It is well organized and the employees are very friendly. The variety of movies that could be watched is very diverse. They show a good amount of movies and they last for a good amount of times. The theatre is always, ALWAYS clean and luxurious. Not only, but it is very economic. Out of all the theatre on Katy, I honestly think this one is the best.

I would have a better idea of the quality of the theater if I went during peak time. It was a Monday night and most people are back to work.

The Place is already falling apart after just one year ago they did a uplift and now it back worse than before. No one clean the theater before each more so if you see a move after the first show of the day its gross nasty. Help AMC force a remold please.

I love this place I had a great time all by myself. LolI did my 34 hr. reset. I treated myself to the movies. It was great Katy Texas is a very interesting town. Very nice people and helpful. We stayed at Loves in Katy.I took a Lyft and went to the Movies I saw two movies and ate good food and joined AMC movies specials.CRST it aint just Trucking Im having FUn.

Excellent and comfortable recliner laxy boy seats reminiscent of a cross-Atlantic business class seats. An eclectic and affordable selection of snacks. Lion King (Live action) remake didnt disappoint either. I will definitely visit this cinema again!

I took my daughters to go see Jumanji- the theater was in great shape and the seats were comfortable.

Probably the best AMC to experience the cinema. Very comfortable touch adjustable lounge seats for relaxed watching of movies.

Movie theater. Expensive everything like any other movie theater. Chairs are motorized to make them as comfortable a possible, although, I could not find the comfort in them no matter how I arrange that chair. Perhaps it was misaligned or my whole skeletal structure is S shaped.

Staff is always friendly and attentive. Theaters have great sound and are very clean. Restrooms are easily accessible and clean. Ive been coming here for years and have zero complaints. Great job.

Good but not the best. I didn’t like the chairs because they do not go all the way which makes you sit uncomfortably for 2 hours although neat and spacious.

Any theater that has reclining seats its already high on my list. So this nice clean big theater with these awesome seats was great. Its a little far from the house so we dont make it there often but because of the cleanliness of the theater in the great seats we will definitely go again

Recent upgrades have really improved the experience at this theater. Comfortable reclining seats are the bees knees! Soda machine with tons of flavors to choose from as well as free refills. I enjoy booking my seats in advance as well. Great move, AMC!Prices are high, but to be expected for any theater these days. Dont like that children and seniors arent discounted, though.Popcorn seems decent. Not stale or burnt.Not sure why my photos are not posting, but I did take a few. Tried numerous times to attach them, to no avail.

This movie theater is okay at best. It usually seems that the theater is usually dirty at best and the seats always seem that they are not cleaned after each viewing. The customer service has always been great here for me and my family. The pricing is decent. But sometimes cleanliness can go a big way for some customers. A little bit more attention could be spent on the restrooms.

Not as clean as it use to be. Teens running concessions were more interested in chatting with friends than handling the very long line of customers, many of which walked off rather than to miss time from the movie they paid to see. Theater was stuffy and bathroom were gross.

Chairs are really comfy. Spacious and overall enjoyable experience.

Employees told my kids and their group that they had to have parents to enter the show. We were standing in the concession line. People were already sitting in our son and his friends seats, and despite being presented with tickets, were still complaining about having to move. Management did not seem to care. Was not impressed with cleanliness or service. I will continue to use Cinemark instead.

Very good ambiance and there is small play area for the children after watching the movie.. a day can be well spent at this place.. will often visit this place.. it’s like minimum package with all kind of stuff to enjoy on a free boring day..!!

Love this theater. All their seats recline and thats really important to me. My family complains about their cleanliness, but Ive never had a problem with that so Your mileage may vary. Wish they had a door directly into AMC rather than having to go through the mall.

Employees provided good customer service. Big smile and warm welcome. The theater was clean Unfortunately the pop corn tastes old. The ac for some reason was not working good. The sound was not loud enough for a movie theater I was expecting a little bit better than my JBL sound system at home. I hope they fix this little details for my next visit.

The staff is always friendly and the theatre is always clean. They do have a small bar with cocktails and beer, but the bartender is inexperienced. The Dolby theatre alone makes this the best in the area. They have the reclining seats, so they will sell out of tickets fast since there are less seats. The soda fountain is in the lobby, so no hassle trying to get refills on beverages, but the line does move slow if you are in a rush to get into a movie. I used to go to Palladium, but my wife and I much prefer this one now.

Seats were good...bathroom was horrible!!. We walked into theater and the trash cans were full from the movie before us, so if course on our way out everything was on the floor. For the price of the movies and snacks things should have been in better condition.

THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE CHAIRS EVER!! Forgive me for all caps, but these seats are awful and need to be changed out immediately. Other than that everything was on par with most other theaters in the area.

This movie theater upgrade and I love it. So does my kids because they are able to cuddle with me while watching a movie. Very clean and staff are super nice. I love my stub membership because I skip the lines for food.

We like the convenience of ticket purchasing online and reclining seats, but the seats dont or cant recline all the way because they placed the chairs too close to the walls. And the restroom smells like the floor was mopped by urine, so maybe use of bleach and any other cleaning supplies would be nice.

Today was my first experience at AMC Katy mill which was just awful. While My kids and I were seating at the theater waiting for the movie, the AMC manager came to my seat and said I should go out the theater with him because he needs to ask some question!!!!!I was so shocked, I I saw three police officer at the door called by the manager to ask me if I paid for the ticket or not and asked to show them my ticket.They checked my ticket and even they did no say sorry for their very disrespectful and rude actions.I never go this theater any more!Also, the seat was just uncomfortable and the staff, particularly manager was so rude!It was very bad experience for me in my whole life.I could believe that the theater manager call police if pay the ticket or not.If you go there be carful maybe come to you company with police office while you are watching your movie to ask if you paid the for ticket or not!!!!!!I never forget their very rude action for $7.99 theater ticket.

We have gone here several times. They have the best prices for matinee movies as well. I usually take my toddler here. We always have a great experience except the last time we went a few of the chairs were either broken or off and we did not know prior to selecting our seats and when we noticed the isle we were on was full so that did put a damper on our outing as we enjoy using the recliners. Hopefully they will fix them chairs or at least take the broken ones off as available so others wont have the same problem as we didn

Unfortunately not one of the better AMC theatres. It was kinda dirty and the concession stand was slow and a bit messy. The worst part was the parking. If you go after the mall closes you will have to walk a bit back exting thru another exit.

Service is so bad. You have no idea. Front desk people don’t know what’s the difference between 3D and IMAX. We paid for 3D tickets for ONWARD. They played standard version. Tickets guy at front don’t like to answer if you have any questions.

Location has upgraded seating and Dolby, however, this location is not very clean, had garbage in seats when the movie started.

Dont bother asking for a manager at guest services you will be wasting your time at 10am on a Saturday the staff didnt feel it was important to call them up to the front. 4 of the 12 reclining chairs not plugged in, and if you attempt asking staff to plug in chairs count on the entire theatre being interupted, and everyone being shifted out of their seats. Dont see movies here

Great place to kiss your girlfriend at the movies. You can lift the arm rest up and cuddle some during show. Wish seats went back just a bit further like star cinima

Stubs A list saves you $$$ and is convenient. This theater is ok but could be cleaner. Bathrooms are rundown and dirty. Theater seating is nice but also not cleaned as well as other theaters. Food selection and drinks is great. Overall its a good theater and great value, just wish they cleaned it better.
