I have been to Western Michigan University four years running. And my experience being on campus still going strong.
Went to see Les Miserables. Theatre was clean, staff was friendly as always, the seats are comfortable with plenty of room for people to walk in the isles. We always have a great experience with this theater. And the show was phenomenal. We have tickets to several other shows throughout the year. Great form of entertainment, and its wonderful to see the musicals live versus through a camera. If you have never been and have the means I highly recommend seeing a show here.
Bought front row so excited unfortunately my view was completely blocked many times during the performance by a speaker that sat on the stage. I wasnt comfortable switching taking seats like others being that was the one I paid for just be aware of this when purchasing seating for your event.
Its a great modern theatre/auditoriym. Ive sat from the orchestra and the grand tier before and its a good view. Parking is free and there is a lot of parking space, the only trouble is getting out because everybody goes at the same time. They have concessions and a coat check. The staff were friendly.
If you get the chance to see a concert here, you wont be dissatisfied. Acoustics here are great; not a bad seat in the house, either. Very clean and kept up. Plenty of parking, including an attached parking garage. Enjoy!
I graduated from Western and was able to watch several graduations and shows in Miller auditorium. The team here is awesome at handling the crowds. Plenty of seating and the place is always in tip top shape.
Miller is an amazing venue. Opened Jan 1968. Outstanding chances to watch great shows on their way from larger sites.Kalamazoo has many other places to explore as well.
Shows are well done. Venue is comfortable and clean. Parking can take some time due to limited roads to access this part of WMU campus.
The theater itself is great for watching plays and musicals. They have very good lineups every year. I usually go here or MSUs Wharton for shows, and Miller usually has much cheaper ticket prices for the same shows. Getting through campus to the theater is a bit of a mystery, but Google navigation will get you there. I appreciate the free parking. The lobby is a bit cramped and dated, and bathrooms busy. Plenty of nice restaurants around KZoo to make for a complete night.
Saw blue man group and loved it. Didnt know I would enjoy something like that so much. Nice auditorium, easy access
Very nice venu. Comfortable seating with lots of leg room. Saw the Battling Piano group, they were awesome!
Saw an amazing production of Phantom of the Opera. Most amazing production with beautiful sets that blew us away with their versatility and the ease with which locations were changed. Loved the venue and would not hesitate to attend another touring production here.
Miller brings amazing talent to our area with so many different types of entertainment. I recommend turning Netflix off for a night and grab a ticket to a play, concert, or comedian.
Went to see Las Miserables last night and it was terrific!! We were greeted at the door by friendly staff and the building is beautiful!! Had great seats, couldnt say enough about the Miller Auditorium!!
Our church (The Bridge, Portage) celebrated its 10 year birthday here. Beautiful facility, great auditorium.
I love having a great theater in town with great productions. Unfortunately the way the theater is build the seats line up with the person in front of you so we always have obstructed views and are leaning to the side to see over talk people in front of us
Here for Riverdance! A great show (they make it look so easy!) In a great venue
This was a great venue. The staff was really good, got us in quickly. Show we saw was really good. Traffic was better than expected for the size of the show.
Great venue for all kinds of shows, symphony, plays, musicals, other events. On the campus of Western Michigan University. Comfortable seating. Easy parking in the attached garage. Miller gets professional off-Broadway shows.
Absolutely amazing place. Gorgeously built and the show was fantastic. The Phantom of the Opera has been my favorite since high school and they did this great justice. The leads all worked very well together and every emotion was felt through out the musical. Great job! I will return for more shows!
Great auditorium, free parking, easy in and out. Thanks for bringing in quality theatre performances and other fun events.
Saw Les Mis here and it was amazing! Not a bad seat in the place.
Watched the Grinch musical was wonderful. Seating was great even parking went smooth!!
I was there for my daughters graduation and I was amazed on how big it was! The fountain is gorgeous! I now want to go back and just watch it. When we went in we were greeted with a smile and asked if they could help find were we needed to go. The acoustics were so clear you could hear one of the students walk across the floor. Awesome!
Not a bad seat in the house, but 3rd row center stage is a good spot for Riverdance
Just saw the Drum Tao show here and it was a great auditorium for it. The seating was at a gradual incline so you werent looking down if you were seated towards the back, you were looking more forward which is betterrrr!
Excellent audio system and acoustics. They bring in many great theatrical performances and singers.
Very nice Auditorium. I graduated from there back in 1981
The Piano Guys concert was Fabulous. Their music is Phenomenal and they are dorky happy guys !!!
First time there. Easy in and out. Friendly staff. Going again next week for another venue
Western Michigan Universitys symphony band performs here, and they are fabulous!
The acoustics were good, the decor and seating is nothing to write home about. Not much parking.
Saw How the Grinch Stole Christmas with the grandchildren. Great show! Great Grinch! Great casting!
I have been at Miller Auditorium for many things over that past few years and its a very good venue. The seating is comfortable, the atmosphere is nice, and staff are available for assistance when needed. The handicap sections arent in the nosebleeds (like some places) so you can expect a great view of the stage from just about anywhere. The only issue I have is getting out of the parking lots after the events. Do your research on different ways to get out and dont feel you have to follow the crowd.
Great venue for seeing the Phantom of the Opera this past weekend. The lobby area was a little crowded but it was great to have a place to sit before the doors opened. Easy to get parking. Nice atmosphere all around.
Easy close parking, comfortable seating and ausome season schedule with a mix of Broadway, comedy, drama, and musical performances.
Miller is the main auditorium in WMU, Kalamazoo, MI, where all kinds of events are held: graduations, symphonic concerts, musicals, departmental Xmas parties, etc. It is large but well amplified, and on the often full houses, crowd management is impressive.
Its a great place to see plays and they cut ticket prices in half for students! I love going there to see plays.
Great show with Colin Mochrie and hypnotist. IMPROV Hilarious!!!
Love the place. Seats are very compacted and small. Thats my only complaint.
Very moving show. We loved Les Mis
Riverdance was fabulous! I dont understand why Miller doesnt use the big screens they have.
Open space with good views from all directions.
Phantom of the Opera was great! This is the first stage play that I have seen as an adult. It was a very nice theater. Even though the seats I select were a little too far away. The audio quality still brought the story to life. Next time I will select closer seats than Grand tier row 19.All in all, a great experience and some that would be well worth doing again.
Super nice place for shows and graduations
My daughter and I had a great time seeing The Phantom of the Opera! The production was amazing! The auditorium is beautiful and has plenty of leg room for tall people like my daughter and myself. The staff was polite and helpful and parking was free.
Beautiful facility and great staff! Ive never been disappointed with anything Ive attended. They always host or put on high quality productions.
Excellent! No bad seats. Staff was courteous, helpful & personable.
I went to see Spamalot here. The parking was pretty crowded, but easy to find a spot. Getting out took a really long time. The musical was great and the options of musicals to be seen was nice. The seats were great even though we were on the balcony, I could see everything clearly.
Les Miserables was a great performance!
Just saw Phantom of the Opera at Miller. Well done to the cast, crew and orchestra! Was phenomenal. Thank you Miller for being able to host such a performance.
Absolutely a wonderful venue to see a show!
Free parking Comfortable seating Good acoustics
Beautiful Place! Was there to see my Son graduate from College!!
Came to see the Women Rock concert. I sat in the grand tier section...first row, dead center. I couldnt have been more pleased with the view and the acoustics. Overall, its a beautiful venue....it really is! The staff was very friendly. Restrooms were clean! Also the concession stand prices were VERY reasonable! I would HIGHLY recommend if there is a concert or show you wish to see.
I wish I could go back!! I really miss WMU and going to Miller auditorium
I went to see the Phantom of the Opera on Saturday afternoon. I was wonderful! And I love the Miller Auditorium. The way it is set up any seat is good .
Easy access and not a bad seat in the whole house
Love this place! Great shows and even better staff/volunteers!
Les Miserables was wonderful here!
There really isnt much to say. Its a standard, large University auditorium. Its decently organized but do use the restroom before a show. Making your way, squeezing by tightly, through hundreds of people mid show is no fun. From shows to funerals they do it all there.
Very nice place, but it needs to have a couple columns of walking steps instead of rows of sixty some seats that are only accessible from either end only. Which means it is a constant interruption of people saying, excuse me, excuse me. I realize its about maximizing seating, but it should also be for guests ease of access.
Just saw the Phantom of the Opera at the Miller. It was a fantastic venue with great views of the stage. The cast and set were first class. I dont think there is a bad seat in the house and congrats to the Miller for bringing Broadway quality shows to southwest Michigan
Attended my granddaughters graduation.Beautiful place. The fountain is beautiful for pictures..
Manager Nicole and other venue staff at Moscow Ballets The Great Russian Nutcracker; for their over-the-house assistance in providing excellent, extensive navigation to a lost driver. Also another standing ovation to the coatroom staff for their expedient assistance in securing additional programs for youth ballet dancer supporters. Thundering applause goes out for a stunning, over-the-curtain, ballet performance and all the off-the-stage, out-of-the-theater support.
Awesome show great venue, not really a bad seat in the house
Comfortable seating, affirdabke prices.
Great shows, good traffic control, too many seats makes it very uncomfortable
Great performances at an affordable price! Go Broncos!
Overall good experience when going to see piano guys, the staff was nice and helpful. The lady who ordered the tickets through the phone spelled my name wrong on the ticket. No big deal. I sat at the very end and could see the stage ok but the video screen I could not see the full screen because the sound bar was obstructing the view. there is a screen on the side which was not in use during the performance. A note that the auditorium is not entirely handicap accessible which my mother was given a seat which was not the best solution for her but it worked out ok. The staff was able to help my mother to her seat and assisted her with her walker. Give yourself a little more than a half hour for arrival since stadium drive can be backed up prior to the show.
Miller is near to my heart as a WMU alum and a former employee. The people are nice, the shows are usually great, and they offer steep discounts to WMU students. Average ticket prices range roughly from $30 to $150 for big-name shows.
Great piano player...piano guts.
Beautiful place that is kept very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
My wife & I went to see Star Wars in concert. It was a fun experience & the sound at Miller auditorium was great. Parking wasnt bad. The seats on the upper level were a little tight. But otherwise no complaints.
Went to see Beautiful: the Carol King Story. It was fantastic! The staff at Miller were all friendly and very professional. I enjoyed my theater experience immensely!
Very nice and good place for special events.
Very nice auditorium!
Nice venue, park near the street if you can!
The entertainment featured at Miller Auditorium is always noteworthy.
