Super fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon! The folks here are genuinely happy to be participating - whether the cast, musicians, house managers, or even the volunteer crew. The venue is fascinating, the area is lively, and parking is pretty easy. Im looking forward to visiting again.

Ive gone once a year for close to a decade. This playhouse is home to a wonderful community theater company. It also happens to be a fantastic bit of architecture inside and out.Ive seen great shows and Ive seen mediocre shows, but more of the former than the latter.Worth a visit!

Theater facility was nice and well maintained, clean restrooms, etc. The play was enjoyable as well. Giving the experience only 4 stars as I found the seating to be uncomfortable for sitting long periods of time.

I took my six year old to see Elf this afternoon. The acting was top notch! I was frustrated by the adult language in a play that said it was for the entire family. There were a couple of bawdy comments that went over her head but, there were several curse words thrown out there that didn’t! It saddens me that this type of language is appropriate for you to market to families with small children. In my opinion, using the curse words didn’t make the play any better. I think it actually took something away with those of us with small children who were in attendance. I left disappointed today.

It is a gem, offering culture to our area with a wide variety of plays from classics, to raucous comedy, to moving dramas, to musicals, and more. All professionally performed in a community theatre.

Simply one of the best community theaters in the nation. Ive been going to shows here for 20 years now and have yet to have a bad exp. The delightful little coffee break during intermission is an extra delight to meet and greet with other patrons as well as staff and talent. Their kids shows are amazing and my girls delight at the prospect of the new seasons every year.

We attended a party all dressed up as King and queen. Fun night dancing. Later in Taipei please in z similiar idea with the Taipei Intl Theatre Society. Good memories both times.

It is such a privelage to have a great theater in town. The building is beautiful. The staff is really friendly and helpful. We saw the complete works of Shakespeare Abridged and it was thoroughly entertaining. Three actors kept us laughing and engaged the whole time. The audience participation made it move fast and kept us on our toes.

I went to the Civic Theatre for the first time this last weekend and the setting was intimate and the stage was nicely visible from what looks like most of the theatre. I loved that it was close to the walking mall so I was able to get dinner and then go to the show! And of course the show was wonderful!

Nice Little Theatre nestled in the heart of Kalamazoo. Local Productions are always nice and they have great deals. Just recently saw The Little Mermaid and was quite impressed with not only the acting and the singing, But the production itself. Very high quality and would recommend. The will call area in the front entrance is quite small, so I recommend wearing a coat for cold weather because you might be in line out the door.If you are going to go, there is usually plenty of free parking in the area at night. Just look for the parking lots are not either side of the park.

Outstanding Quality ~ comparable to Broadway. Great Price! A historic theater with about 500 seats. Great sight lines and acoustics. They also have classes for kids, adults and seniors. They have free workshops for each production for actors and techies. The staff is fantastic, and a great group of volunteers too. I cant say enough about this wonderful place.

Many creative ideas come to life here as you initially step into a world of creative imagination. Everything is well done, and the staff and volunteers are kind and assistive. I can personally say from experience that I have had great fun here watching plays such as Sister Act, Dr. Suess Jr, and Mary Poppins. It means a lot to me that a town such as Kalamazoo is honored with this gift of a performance hall.

I have had the privilege and countless opportunities to do many fantastic productions at the Kalamazoo Civic. This community is so full of great theatrical artists. --ranging from youth to collegiate to your average 9 to 5 workin adult. This theatre is a fabulous deacon and piece of the Kalamazoo Community. It truly has been a pleasure and such a thrill to have the ability to stretch and flex that theatrical muscle!! #Broadwayinkzoo
