The food is the best around. They have a great menu and a Mac and cheese bar. The owners and staff are great. I cant give them enough praise. Its where I always want to go when the wife asks Where are we getting dinner?.

Awhile back I drove past this place on accident. The Mac and cheese bar intrigued me. I finally came here yesterday with one of my friends. We both tried the Mac and cheese bar. When they mean large, they mean it! Its a big bowl of pasta! The cheese sauce is awesome, you can tell its homemade, and the add ons are awesome! I will definitely return!

Came in to pick up an uber eats and not the bartender, customers, or the person serving me was wearing a mask. i was literally the only one. seems like it’s mildly illegal last time i checked

WOWSERS!! Not only is the Mac and Cheese Bar AWESOME, the staff we dealt with..Israel (GM), Mike (chef) very polite and prompt. Mike prepared our noodles perfectly! I have never been here until I was there for a wrestling event. The Mac and Cheese bar is awesome. Atmosphere was pretty fun. 4 stars because it was good, but the waitress came to the table 3 different times with the wrong persons tab, and was getting upset with my wife for telling them it was the wrong order. I mean... why would we NOT correct the order? Other than that, it was great.

After all the hype I was disappointed with the Mac n cheese bar. Maybe it is better on a busy night, but $12 for a bowl of noodles is too much. Was also disappointed that my beer was a bit off, not so bad on the second pour, but I’m doubtful the lines or taps have been cleaned in months.

Fantastic food and beverages! I am loving the Indy Pro Wrestling shows they have been having. (IPW) Highly recommend!

I was very impressed with our visit recently. We stopped in here on a Saturday looking to try something new. There were many choices on the menu and the place was incredibly clean and staff was very friendly. My sister and her family have since tried them based on my recommendation as well as my children and everybody has had nothing but great things to say about the food the staff and the environment. Great prices great food well worth the visit.

Upon arrival everything seemed fine. We had a decent sized group and they arranged the tables so we could all fit. However, I got the Mac and cheese bar and when I went to top my noodles there were no toppings! Cheese was the only thing filled. This seemed odd for a Friday night. I asked for chicken and breadcrumbs. The chicken took 15 minutes and I never got the breadcrumbs..

Great food. Only thing I would reccomend is to use cash if at the bar. It has happened a minimum of three times to myself and to my friends where the shady bartenders add a zero to the tip total and scam us out of money. That is why I only use cash now.

Service is generally slow. My food rarely comes out complete or fully cooked. The owner, J.R., is a thief and a racist. Theres a lot of potential with loyal staff, and the other owner is a decent human keeping it afloat. However, I expect them to go the way of the grotto and other college bars unless they cut out the cancer that is J.R. and the way hes done business.

Went on a Saturday when there was a band paid 10.00 cover which i thought was to much. Can really spray LESS SMOKE. Other then that is really nice bar, staff is very friendly. Heard from others that food is home made and very good.

Older male bouncer was extremely rude even though I am 21. Customer service needs a LOT of work. One female bartender was really nice and fun and that was one of the only good qualities I experienced there. I was reluctant to go there because of all the things I heard about the 18 and up nights and most things held true.

The ybar might be a small place, but it has a lot of energy and will most definitely surprise you.

They have gluten free pasta so i could have the mac n cheese bar!!!! We had a large group so it went kind of slow but our servers did a wonderful job. I look forward to going again.

If you havent had the Mac bar go now!!! Its not what you think it would be a d there are more selection than you would think. Id say top ten places to visit in Kalamazoo. Plus it puts you in the middle of campus. Put this place on your radar and dont forget to stop by! Ill see you at the bar.

Did you hear that one of the Y Bar owners mushed a black woman in the face last night? I was also told that in a meeting an owner stated that they didn’t want “People from the North Side of Kalamazoo (Predominately Black Area) there.” I will no longer give money to a business that does not respect my people.

Its definitely geared toward college age and the young 30 crowd. The Macaroni bar is great. Every thing weve ordered had been great. And their new Monday night Karaoke dj is awesome

Tasty food and friendly service! Our service was fast and our waitress went above and beyond to help us. The mac and cheese bar was fun and unique, and definitely worth the price. I will definitely be coming back here!

Monday 1/2 half of Macaroni bar is great. Will be returning. Trying the 4 cheese next time. Bacon could have been a little more crisp. A little to much fat.

I’ve been living in Kalamazoo for a while and decided to take some out of towners here so we could all try it.. certainly, I made no mistake! Welcomed by staff and owner like family. Very inviting atmosphere. Mac n cheese bar was amazing and all menu items are priced extremely reasonable! Great place for a good lunch dinner and date night!!

Liked the salad bar. beer selection was lacking. Went again had the spicy beef Roman, it was great.

One of the security guards kicked me out because I didn’t do anything serious and I was just trying to have a good time. I don’t know who the security guard is but whoever he is fire him.

It was ok, food was good. Drinks were mediocre. Pretty empty, service was a little slow. Not much on the menu and prices a little high. Decent for a campus hangout. Not much special about it from any other mom and pop shop.

Cold food, empty Mac & Cheese bar and was told it would be filled and it wasn’t, bad service, flat soda, rude manager. I couldn’t believe how empty it was. 7:30 on a Saturday night and there were two tables. All except maybe one worker was drinking beer.

The Mac and cheese bar is a bit of a gimmick, but a good one. Get the large and have a second meal the next day for only $3 more.

Walked in with one server available during lunch hour. Ordered over priced Mac and cheese bar and the bar toppings were in disgusting shape. Cut up hot dogs and sausage in the water they were boiled in - grey looking in color - shrimp was not there whatsoever despite being hyped up about by our one server.Most serving spoons didn’t drain the water that ingredients were floating in and obvious cross contamination for someone that would have concerns of avoiding meat. All ingredients didn’t look fresh whatsoever.The vegetables available for the bowl were cold and under cooked.Left restaurant and immediately threw up. Will not be returning.

The band was awful and way too loud; I prefer not to scream at my company to communicate but I wasnt there long enough to learn sign language. The place wasnt very busy but I still received poor service.

I should be able to zero star the place. I went on Friday their official “grand open” date and had to pay a $10 Cover!! Are you kidding? On opening day?...I wish the grotto was open.Not a fan of the atmosphere, nothing has changed since it was AVB, Fifth Avenue, and now this.We know the fate of this location, sad to see Y Bar at Wayside was the best, truly disappointing.
