The Gatsby is my favorite level of the Entertainment District. The style of 20s/30s with a hint of a modern feel to it is something different, and creates a perfect atmosphere. The bartenders are real cool guys and make great drinks, and the music mix that is played in the nightclub, is perfect for both ; people who just want to chill with friends,and who want to dance and let loose. Its classy and also a riot. Its hard to pull off such an atmosphere.

Drinks are a bit overpriced. Service is ok. Music could be hit and miss (I’m talking only Gatsby, not the Monaco Bay downstairs). Although now they are doing Latin nights on Fridays, and that is a lot of fun - the people are very friendly and dancers of all levels are welcomed, with a good variety of music.

If you’re looking for a cool speakeasy type place, you should look elsewhere. Staff is rude and condescending- so they have that going for them... but the music and vibe are awful.

This is one of my favorite places to go to in Kalamazoo. I love the environment! The speakeasy theme gives you an upscale feel and a unique experience. My friends and I love to venture up to Gatsby for a night of dancing and elegance. We usually wear a party dress to this bar! It makes the whole experience more exciting. It has a unique setting with lush and modern décor/furniture pieces, sexy lighting and an wicked cool glass fireplace near the dance floor.My advice? Bring back the food menu! The food was the BEST here--Quality met quantity and the flavor was outstanding.

My favorite bar in Kalamazoo I love the classy feeling it gives you and its always a great time! My friends and I go here all the time when we are downtown Kalamazoo. What a great environment..I have never had a bad time here:)

I absolutely love the atmosphere of this establishment. It totally transports me to the 20s which I am all about. The bartenders are pretty awesome too.

The Gatsby is unique to downtown, much different vibe than most of the other bars around. Go in for a drink and chat with an interesting new stranger, or take in the gorgeous view of downtown through the full length windows; Gives a big city vibe from the view.

Really great cocktails and a wonderful atmosphere. There has always been lots of energy each time Ive been there.

The worst place iv ever been and iv been to Mexico. The management is clueless and rude beyond belief! Smells bad, dark, and again the management too stuck up to help because of there im better than u attitude.
