This trail is just OK if you’re looking for a place to ride a bike. But if you’re looking for a nice nature hike this is not the trail for you. Shortly after the entry it opens up into miles of straight roomy rocky gravel road with zero shade, which is great for bike riders. There are several “foot traffic only” trails marked along the vast expanse of gravel road. However, every trail looks as if it hasn’t had foot traffic in years. All trails are overgrown with weeds and bushes. We tried one of them but turned around when we weren’t able to navigate through the overgrown weeds. There are plenty of other natural areas in the area that maintain their trails if you want a shady nature hike adventure.
Old Indiantown Rd trail was just kind of lame. Its essentially a dirt road with not much shade either. Theres a few walking trails off the road which are probably a lot nicer. But we couldnt access them because we were on bikes. The east part of the park has some nicer trails, but not great for riding. It seems like they may be working on the trails there some, so maybe it will get better in the future. Because this area is not as improved as say Riverbend, its got a lot more wildlife. You can see gators, otters, deer, and even wild hogs. Lots of birds too.
Trails are decently blazed for the most part. Beautiful area. In the rainy season, prepare to trek through muddy or wet sections.
A really beautiful piece of land. Well maintained. Great for hiking or mountain biking. Cant wait to get back and explore more.
It would be an amazing spot for pictures of sunsets and wildlife, ect. I take all my friends from other states here and they all love it. Recommend it to anyone and everyone
Relaxing natural place to walk and get away from the crazy world.
This area north of Indiantown Road is in a very natural state. The entrance is just west of Jupiter Farms Road. I recommend taking a photo of the park map if there are no paper copies as there are numerous dirt roads that transect the trails which can be confusing. Its a beautiful area but trails are rough/eneven to walk on. Lots of animal tracks in the sandy trails.
Like most of my ratings, this is based solely on my running here. There is a nice loop of about 1.8 miles. It has pretty good shade for stretches. The path is smooth and easy on the legs. There is a hiking path down the middle that I have never gone on but the birders that I have met here seem interested in it. It connects easily to Riverbend Park if you are interested in stringing together some additional miles. I am docking a star because there are no restrooms and no sources of drinking water. That being said, it is wedged between two strip malls so you can certainly avail yourself of them if you need to.
It was awesome if you go early enough we saw deers, wild boar rabbits
A new park in palm beach county, but done very well. Near riverbed, it has the same well made trails. County spent several years getting rid of exotics, so there is a lot of open spaces now but soon it will be as grown up and shady as riverbed.
Wild yet close! A gift of Natural FloridA!
Great spot for canoeing. You can take it all the way to Jonathan Dickinson state park and they will bus you back! Great trip.
Easy walk surrounded by natural Florida beauty
This place is awesome but make sure you have an app on your phone so you dont get lost and bring an extra two if youre going to be biking and water and good RX bars Im not promoting them I just have a degree in nutrition and those are the best protein bars that are out
Amazing place to fish, look for wildlife, there are always gators and beautiful birds when I go which is at least twice a week. It would be an amazing spot for pictures of sunsets and wildlife, ect. I take all my friends from other states here and they all love it. Recommend it to anyone and everyone
Nice trails, not that big is Riverbend but still nice . No facilities.
Great natural area for hiking, bird watching, and getting in touch with nature. Best of all! Its 10 minutes from town. A must see!
Great place but our car widow was smashed out and someone grabbed an empty backpack.
Park and walk into the past Old Road and walking path great for Nature Lovers A Lot to see for the Whole Family...
Still beautiful, so clean up your messes!
I dont know why this is called a natural area ..I saw a bunch of migrant worker types spraying pesticides one day all over the walking trails throughout the park with a blue die in it.I felt sick after walking around there. They could not speak good english but told me they are spraying pesticides to kill weeds in there. Why would they be spraying poison in a natural area?No sign to warn and protect the public or anyone supervising them. The pesticide will make your eyes water and cough. It also burns your skin when you touch it or it gets on your skin. The workers dont even know what they were spraying or had any safety sheet with them on site which is the law.People and wildlife could be getting sick by being exposed to this stuff..Who is responsible for this?
There are some long trails here, unfortunately, when they developed it, they paved in 20 wide paths, so it is largely unshaded.
Perfect course without thrills of a fancy club house. Although wouldnt mind if they put in showers and locker rooms and big TVs to watch PGA events!
Great hiking trails. Bring shoes that can get wet. Also, good bike trails.
Large beautiful deep lake. Used to be the super secret fishing spot only open to friends of the lands previous owner, now a public park. Caught my first 2 tarpon there, and its the only place Ive seen a 10 lb bass (besides in the BP tanks). Bring shiners.
Enjoyed the Cypress and Marshy area. Saw and alligator on the bank of one of the ponds. Saw a hawk in the area. Had a nice walk on the bowleg leg section of trails.
Nice hiking, biking trails connect with the Florida trail ocean to lake trail, north to JDSP and west to Old Indiantown to Jupiter trail and a couple of other loops.
Lots of critters, lots of walks. It was wet underfoot when we went but most areas accessible. Thats mother nature for ya
Its really small. Theres no bathroom. I looked on 2 websites before going with my dog, neither site said no dogs allowed but when I got there signs said no pets allowed. I dont live close so it wouldve been nice to know that before I drove there.
Cant beat the outdoors, parking is limited, covered seating provide, depending on weather area could be real wet, bug spray on highly recommended.
Beautiful and wild south Florida ecosystem!
Very expansive wildlife area, but very little shade. Best time is early AM.
Great well kept trails perfect for mountain bikes
Always a beautiful trail.
If you do 10-12 miles like we do, expect to see some wet spots in the summer months. B+ hike during rainy season, C+ when dry. Bring all your needs.
Fantastic area to walk and experience Floridas natural fauna and wildlife.
Trails could use some work. got scraped up pretty bad from overgrowth. not a bad spot to visit if you live within a couple of miles.
One of Palm Beach Countys most beautiful natural areas.
Beautiful but you cant walk your dog, the county has an ordinance against it.
Great natural area. Parking at north intersection of Indiantown and Jupiter Farms Rd

An easy walking place. Too bad you can still hear traffic.
