Good and shot with lots of cool nature
Beautiful sunny day. Went with extended family. Trail is all age friendly. My girls are 4 and 6 and 2 family members senior citizens. Perfect low impact trail with stunning views when you arrive at the water.
Amazing small trail in a forest that includes various different areas with their own tree species and humidity levels. Great for kids as well, who loved walking on the wooden part of the trail!
Beautiful and peaceful!
Easy to walk. Was buggy and muggy on this day of near 80 degrees. Old and new trail, well marked and groomed. No evidence of bears on this day. Blissfully silent, a true and rare commodity for those used to, and perhaps fatigued with, chronic environmental [read as: not natural] sounds.True southeast Alaskan natural place of beauty.
This is a beautifully designed looping trail that crosses forest, bog, beach, and ocean! If you carefully check the tides, you will be able to safely cross the ocean hiking the tombolo over to Shaman Island: What a treat!Opportunities abound to see marine birds and mammals, intertidal sea life, myriad birds, as well as forage for greens and berries when in season. You can also easily continue hiking to connect to Rainforest Trail and False Outer Point Trail either through the water or road side. One of the best kept secrets in Juneau/North Douglas.
Great trail for a leasurely walk. I brought my toddler along in the back-carrier and he loved it. Place to sit and rest at the halfway point.
This is my favorite place to be out in nature.
Awesome!
