There was not a tour guide nor was there a self guided tour pamphlet that we could find. This makes it harder to understand exactly what is what there and why things are they way they are. I have toured several other state capitol buildings so I understood a bit more. It was interesting to see the difference in Alaskas capitol building versus other states. This could be a quick stop or a long tour after 2 floors things start to look similar. You can look online to see if the are in session during your visit. Definitely worth a quick visit though!

This is the Alaska Capital Building in all its Glory. More recent renovations added some phenomenal art work. It really is a museum in many respects. There is a lot of Alaska history on the walls and they do tours on Monday through Friday during normal business hours. I had the opportunity to tour the building with my Boy Scouts recently. It was a phenomenal tour the was very interesting and educational. A must visit!

This a great historical and informational place a a good capital building really rerecorded checking out with lots of history to explore.

The Capitol is such a beautiful place!!! Its one of my favorite places to visit in Alaska.

The building was great. I saw Senate Lyman F. Hoffman.

This place is usually open to the public and is a fun stop while here on a cruise.

Really enjoyed our visit and the tour! Our guide was a local retired political journalist who had incredible insight and experience in the capital! Highly recommend the guided tour!

As a history buff, it was kind of cool to check out Alaskas state house. Its different from all of the others Ive been to. Its worth a visit.

Looks like a historic building, it would be nice if there was a pamphlet or even a plaque to tell the history. But there were some interesting photos on the walls. Enjoyed it overall.

Great place to go for political propaganda needs about bills and laws. You can take your friends there because theres really impressive history and its all free.

Nice building for a Territorial Capitol.Not as impressive as most other State Capitols.

On our cruise the director said Juno was the home to the 50th most beautiful state capital inn all of the United States ship we just had to visit!It is not ugly in the slightest. The is a lot of history there: pictures, carvings, etc.. There is even elementary kids art on the walls.We also spent time talking to a couple employees. They were so friendly and helpful!

I might be biased (Ive been to Sacramento and its prettier) but I was expecting more. Still, it was nice to see it.
