We love this place. The price is $5 for adults, and I think $4 for kids, but we buy a family pass for $140 that pays for itself after just 7 visits (we drive the 60 miles to this place at least 3 times per week).Its best to be 48 inches or taller to enjoy all things. If you can swim (by yourself without life jacket or floaties) the diving boards are a blast for any size. My daughter has been going since she was just 2 (and an excellent swimmer). The family slide is the extra wide slide and parents can take their children under 48 inches. The lazy river is a huge hit for kids under 48 inches because it connects to the other (48 inch required to ride) slides. Makes it nice for my 47 and 3/4 inch kid to enjoy other things while her brother enjoys the over 48 inch!!!

Well maintained course with a knack for fast greens. Id say well done.

Just a park. Not what it use to be when I was a kid growing up around there. Check out the mineral Museum. Fun fact back in the 30s or 40s it use to be an electric park. Also mining area back in the day.

Even with the restrictions the park is an awesome place for family to enjoy. Not expensive for what is offered.

It was good. Would liked to have seen something, or the mentioning of the evolution of the water system for the City of Joplin. From when P. Murphy built the 1st water plant (in witch a part is still in service today) to supply water to the mines to present day.

Museums, baseball fields. Disc golf. Street ball court. Trails. Golf course. Pool with water slides. Whats not to love?

Clean water and not too crowded. The life guards are not consistent with the rules though.

This is a beautiful well maintained public golf course. Great for all skill levels. The price is the best locally around. It has friendly people. Pro shop, Club Pro and i play there as much as i can. Im a senior and this course is also a walkable course.

Had my wifes nieces wedding there this evening. Was a beautiful ceremony !!!

Always have a good time at the park

Dont really have any complaints about this place. Lots to do, really affordable prices and lifeguards that pay attention but arent overbearing.

The museum of Bonnie and Clyde was why I went and I enjoyed it.

This has always been my favorite park in Joplin, & Im really proud of the improvements the Parks & Rec Dept. have worked to install & maintain. Keep up the good work!

Extremely tall play space and no clear direction on where to park, except a sign saying not here unless you’re using the golf course. Cool swing that holds the child in place over the shoulders, but there’s only one swing set near the playspace and it has the shoulder swing and a regular sitting swing. The other swing is across the street. Didn’t go in the mineral museum, but hope to next time.

Nice place to visit when I need to pass a little time

A huge park where kids can run and have fun, in summers they have this water park. In addition, they also have the Joplin history museum, Im not from here so I thought it was super interesting how people used to live around here. The admission is cheap $1/person during the week and I think is $3/person during the weekend.

Stopped in to play 9 holes of golf. The course was well groomed and we will go back when we have time to play all 18 holes. The park itself is very nice. Tennis, nice water park, covered tables for picnicking, a museum, and more.

I think its a good place to eat. However our steak was so tough we were not able to eat it. But they did try to make it right.

Great park, lots to do. Nice pools in the warm months, Decent museum with an amazing Geology wing I could spend days in!

I have not been to Schifferdecker in at least 5 years. It is a great park. But me and rest of my family do not go to Schifferdecker park for family get togethers. We go to the smaller more family friendly parks in stead. The parks with pools are just to busy.

It was a beautiful day and my group played 18 holes of disc golf and had a great time!My only concern is the mats laid down for at the first tee. They were laid unevenly in mud and will never be a safe or effective. The area should be renovated by taking out the mats, laying a bed of sand or fine gravel to level and pen them down at the corners to reduce any shifting.

Its wide open. Fresh air. Like a park should be. No thugs hanging out.

The pool was nice but it was not cheap to get into. They also had some pretty stupid rules that kept my 5 year old from having as much fun as she could have.

Love the pool! Our kids cant wait until the pool opens each summer. They so need to increase the amount of available tubes for the lazy river/slides as there is a long wait at time.

They have A/C in the bathroom and during a hot swim meet - its a great relief (no pun intended). They need to add a canopy of some sort over the metal benches.

Good food

Decent terrain, covers a good sized area, has a couple kids play areas with playground equipment, has a basketball court, a few volley ball pits, an outdoor hockey rink that is caged, a skateboard & bmx double half pipe, and a pretty cool six basket disc golf course. There are public restrooms, an aquatic center, and a museum.

Went to swim and found out it was free day. Spent the day with family and friends and had a great time. Will definitely be back

Probably the most active park in Joplin, it is a fairly quiet location complete with a museum, small skate park and swimming pool. Basketball courts, golf course, picnic areas and large empty areas for family games. Negative maybe locations for restrooms and parking on bus days.

It was beautiful there. We all had a great get together.

Its a water park, and not a very large or extravagant one. Nothing to write home about. Why dont they have adult waterparks? There are children everywhere here. Do they even know how to swim? Seems dangerous.

I like playing frisbee here. And watching PEOPLE play golf. And families get together having fun.

Great facility in Joplin.

They keep it pretty clean and there is lots of areas to park. They have a small museum, a skate park, several play areas and gazebos, basketball courts and more Im probably forgetting.

Park grounds were kept clean and mowed. Restrooms on site were maintained.

Decent course, low 6000s on yardage from the tips, some cart paths are under construction as well as water drainage in general being a problem here. No driving range which is a big problem for me.

The childrens options are only for older kids and adults can play ball or use the gazebos as a gathering place. The play equipment isnt safe for kids under 4.

A wonderful group of exhibits that covers Joplins mining & cultural history, famous folks from Joplin and then very large collection of geodes & minerals found in the area. Very helpful person at front. Just an all round treat!

Huge park with huge fun for everyone. Basketball courts to playground they have every age covered.

Both play parks are really far from parking and both are for older kids only.

Basic park. Its clean, and its nice.

We enjoy hanging out here with the kids and everything is well maintained. The museum had a titanic exhibit we took in for $3 a person.

The park was fun and all but my sister went out to the parking lot and she almost got kidnapped you should go but just stay together

It never fails during the summer...they always have to close the pool down for 30+ minutes to clean the pool out due to some sort of bodily excretion. Stricter rules about swim diapers and warnings about feeling ill would help! Really nice water park though!!

There are a lot of great displays. However, they have cats (which are gorgeous), so if you are allergic to cats, you might have a problem. Also, the air vents were covered in what appeared to be black mold. I wish wed gotten picture of that. Just dont breathe too deeply.

Was great except the lockers didnt all work and someone pooped in the lazy river. Im glad they closed it and cleaned it promptly however. Im not a fan of the blaring country music . Im just not a fan of country.

Excellent place half pipe for skateboarders and a water park the only thing is there aint no work out equipment here ..

Great place to go hang out with the kids or family at the pool or park. We actually went to throw some disks and it was a little disappointing to see that they only had 6 holes with no launch pads. But it was still really fun, maybe in the future they can add some more holes and some launch lines.

This park is best to go to during the summer when the nearby pool is open. The reason I say this is because the pool has a lazy river which is awesome if your really wanting to just float around and relax.
