The building is beautiful and you can get some awesome pictures if you like architecture. It is free to get in, but there was a lot of restrictions on how to get into the building. (Im sure because of covid) They even had where the governor does his press releases set up. My husband and I had a great time.

Must for every Missourian to see and lean local history of State. Highly recommend it for everyone. Great folks have walked these hollow halls.

Lot of construction going on the building. Had a hard time finding entrance. Once we did the ad online said it opened at 8:00 but when we got there a little after 8 nothing was opened. Lights were on in the gift shop but not many other place we did go through and see a few things. If we go back we will wait till later in the day. What we did see was interesting.

Definitely worth the trip and a fun historical city to spend an evening in. There is a reason this Capitol Building is considered one of the most renowned in the US. Definitely take the free tour, is is not very long and very informative. Plus you get to see some cool governmental areas of the Capitol not always open to the public.

Kelsey was our tour guide, she did an incredible and through all job at giving us an overview of the history of the state and of the Capitol building. We would highly recommend going on a guided tour. If you go on the tour you have a chance to get to see and learn about Thomas Hart Benton’s painting which is extremely impressive.

A very detailed overview of the short and long term history of Missouri as a state, the people who have lived here through the millennia, even touching briefly on the formation of the land all the way back to the formation of the planet. They also had paintings of just about every governor of the are even before we became a state. I really enjoyed my visit and plan on coming back again.

I love the Capitol and the museum, but I have one suggestion that would improve things greatly...they need to add individual lighting for the statuary in the Hall of Famous Missourians on 3rd floor in rotunda. They are very difficult to read because the rotunda was dark.
