Beautiful views of the water. Giving it 4/5 because theres things written all over the dock whether its love notes or crude messages and the slides on the playground end pretty high up off the ground. Nearly have to jump off the slide to get to the ground. A lot of benches to sit and enjoy the view

The park is cool and shaded. We brought our 9 month old to walk around and he loved it

Love this park. Plenty of shade from trees. Quiet. On the water with a gazebo you can walk out onto surrounded by the peaceful water. Theres an area for outdoor cooking with tables. A playground for the kids and restrooms available. People also fish here. If you need a relaxing day this is the place to go.

It is very clean has a wondeful view of the water because it is on the edge of the new river it has clean restrooms a pavilion for when it rains & you can barbeque there perfect for family gatherings & for school children to come & visit in the bus from school...All in all? I give this park in the city limits of jacksonville? A 100 % rating of quality & quanity.Thank you

Small quiet park, love to go here fishing with my husband and father inlaw! Very relaxing, but they need to attend the the restrooms more! Not clean!

The docks are still damaged from Hurricane Florence and there is fishing line EVERYWHERE along the walkway, in the water. Like large clumps of it. You cant cast right off the walkway, because of this, You must walk down the dock. Still love this place but wish they would start a project to repair the dock, if there is no funds to do so.

Quiet peaceful hidden gem, playground for the kids or just sit and enjoy the view. some people like to fish here no crabbing though. Oh and they have clean facilities great lunch time rejuvenation.

Small, quiet park in a residential neighborhood, right on the water. It has a small parking lot, a handful of park benches in the open, a covered pavilion area, and an actual bathroom building (not port-a-potties). There is a playground for kids, a few charcoal grills, and a pier with a gazebo and dock at the end.The covered pavilion has a concrete floor and five long, picnic tables; the tables and benches are a single unit made from that vinyl-covered, metal mesh and they are bolted in place, so you cannot rearrange them. Each table can seat twelve people comfortably.The park has lots of mature shade trees and lots of sun too. Not sure how it is typically, but we were there on a 90° day in May and the breeze off the water made it really comfortable in the shade of the pavilion.There is a walk along the waters edge with a weathered wooden railing that provides some really nice backdrops for pictures.The pier is in a little rough shape; the small dock off the end collapsed into the water and a couple of boards nailed in an X block access from the gazebo.There is a small fee to reserve the pavilion for functions. Highly recommend doing this, since there arent any other tables to use and no other pavilions either.And if you want to put up a tent or canopy etc, be sure to bring stakes and a hammer.... We literally couldnt get anything in the ground.

We had another family birthday party here. This park is a sweet little gem for families. There are picnic tables (some in the covered pavillion), a gazebo dock, playground, bathrooms, small parking lot and a lovely view of the bay. We have loved it fir years!

Small but has a beautiful view

This is a breathtaking view of the water and park. So much for young kids and adults to do. Whether it be walking trail or having a family cookout. Very nice park to even fish if you want to partake in that activity.

Beautiful waterfront park! Features include a covered shelter with plenty of benches, 2 permanent grills at either end of the shelter, a gazebo, bathroom facilities, many trash cans, and a play area for children. Very relaxing area. A container for recyclables would be nice.

It was a beautiful park. Its a bit small and my daughter tripped over some uneven decking, but she adored the playground and she loved seeing the water.

Small area lots of fishers go out to the pier there and sit down with their families under the shade casted by the call trees nearby and I believe there is a small Park area for children to play other than that that is all there is there

Been going here since i was little and it hasnt changed a bit in all that time. Water fountains for people and dogs a nice playground with swings and a gazebo right on the water. Only thing that could make it better would be more walking but its a small plot of land

Its a quiet little out of the way place to let the kids run. Nothing huge or extravagant. I was a bit concerned about the dock and broken slats on the rails that anyone could fall through into the water. Especially kids.

Beautiful park! They have picnic tables to sit and eat at with a shelter above them. There are grills here as well. They have nice sheltered and clean bathrooms.They also have a very nice playground for children. The park is always kept nice and tidy and clean. The view is beautiful of the water from here. You are also able to walk down a short pier and sit at the gazebo and either fish or enjoy the water. There are several other benches around the park to sit and view or just to take a break. We come here often and even to just walk around.

Nice shady park with a modern playground. Right on the water with a pagoda at the end of a pier. Always a calming place. Goid parking. There are restrooms on site, it is well maintained, water for people and animals. Handicap accessible. Has a covered picnic area with new benches, and a few grills. Lost of squirrels.

Lovely park! I visited on a day trip to see my son who was stationed at camp New River. I had a 5 and 4 year old in tow who needed to let off steam and hopefully get tired enough to sleep through the return trip. The park was beautifully maintained. There is a nice picnic area where we had lunch, and we all enjoyed a walk by the water.

It is a great place to walk your dog. It has a shelter for family gatherings and fishing is available and rest rooms and off street parking.

Wilson Bay Park was alway a quite little park that kids of all ages would go to. Nothing that extraordinary, just a place where the young could play and scream their happiness at the top of their lungs. A place where a teenager could find peace to heal a broken heart and for lovers to share time with.Its not so different now except for all the new improvements. There is a dock that extends out over the water where lovers can steal a little quiteness or the broken hearted could find the peace they need to heal theirbroken heart. Children play and squeal with delight as they play on the playground equipment that replaces the old merry go round and 2 rocking/jumping animals of some sort. The trees are taller, there are seats all around to relax on and the water is cleaner, but even with all the improvements, it still offers the same tranquillity as in all the years gone by.

Lovely park. Plenty to do for the kids while you enjoy a nice view. Plus theres a restroom building so no need to rush away when the kid says they hafta go right now.

Nice place for family fun. Small park fork the kids, picnic areas, public bathrooms. All beside the water. Fishing area also.
