My little Pongo loves the Ed Austin Dog parks. There are always nice people there to chat with.I love that they have the pools out at both the small dog park and the big dog park for owners to fill up for their pups on those hot days. Water stations are set up around the parks for dogs to hydrate and cool off as well.People leave their tennis balls for other dogs to play with, which is nice. I donate 2 balls every now and then because I know that they wear down after a while.Owners dont always pick up their dogs poop, which stinks (literally). Bags are provided towards the front of the big dog park.
Rating it 5 stars, because out of the four I visited today, my dog could actually interact with other dogs. So this park has a skatepark, walk and bike path, and large ( 25+ lbs) small (below 25 lbs) dog areas. There are plenty of water bowls that your dog can use and bags for their mess if youve forgotten yours. The ones I tried before were vacant and/or not kept. Everyone was friendly here and my pup ran around for 40 mins. She loved it. And the entire play area is shaded (great for her and I).
The big dog park is Huge with lots of pine trees dogs love to Chase the squirrels plenty of picnic table chairs for everyone to sit water fountain spouts for dogs to drink bowls toys balls everywhere. The small dog park is big too with lots of running space lots of pine tree squirrels water speakit for water water bowls tennis balls everywhere clean after your pet station they provide all the bags. People are friendly nice location
Loved the dog park. Good dogs and owners. Enough space for dogs to play.
Been bringing my foster pup (young hyper lab) here for the past couple days. Lots of room for dogs to run. Good shady trees, places to sit, multiple water spots for dogs, and plastic bags easily available to pick up your pet waste. Not to mention it’s located in a nice park with a good sized jogging/walking loop. Needless to say we’ve been enjoying our visits and it’s greatly reduced his energy (naughtiness) levels inside our home.
Nice little dog park! Plenty of water and toys to share.
Visited this dog park for the first time this weekend. Had a great experience! There was a section for small dogs and a section for big dogs. Lots of open space for them to run and access to water. Also a few obstacle courses and balls laying around for the dogs to play with! Lots of shade and sunny areas as well. Great please to bring the whole family and have a picnic! Lots of areas to sit as well! 5 stars!
The dog park is a fun place for dogs that have separate yards for big dogs and little dogs. For the humans there are chairs and benches. For the pooches there are water balls and wading pools
Great place to take your dogGreat for exerciseGreat for socializing with other dogsBest of all...They come home tired and happier
Nice relaxed dog park available, no real trouble maker pets to note. Lots of squirrels for our dog to chase. I believe the route around the park itself is 1.75 miles for a good jog.
Better for small dogs than Dogwood Park. There is more shade and generally more small dogs there. You also dont have to go down a dirt road that always has huge potholes either. Only things Dogwood has on Ed Austin is the lake area and the baths.
I always enjoy my time there.
Love it. They have a walking trail and dog park.
Take my dog when its not raining. Enjoy myself
Great dog park especially considering its free. There are quite a few amenities. There are water stations, potty stations, garbage cans, picnic tables, single chairs, even some agility equipment for the dogs. Theres a portapotty and a water fountain for humans near by to avoid the somewhat long walk to the baseball field restrooms. The entire area is fenced in quite nicely. There are always other dogs and the people have been really nice so far.
Very big. Nice park with lots of shade trees. .
Lots of room for the dogs to run. Clean.
Big dog park with lots of shade. Side for big and small dogs. Chairs and benches to sit. Water for the pups. Nice dog park nestled inside a bigger park.
We had a woofin good time at the dog park! Clean, tennis balls everywhere, water bowls everywhere... This was my dogs first dog park experience and she did great. The big dog park is HUGE. The little dog park quote a bit smaller but still good size. I wish we had gone sooner. Only met one dog with no boundaries but he was still sweet. Lots of chairs and picnic tables for sitting. Friendly people and dogs. We will be back!
Lots of good dog owners.
This is a seriously fantastic dog park. Ive taken my two German Shepherds to various parks around the city, and none compare to Ed Austin. There is water onsite, so you dont have to worry about bringing your own, plenty of seating for owners, a large expansive play area for large and small dogs (separate enclosures), and a really great pet community. All pups are welcome (every breed, every age), and everyone is there just to get their pups out of the house for a good afternoon. I HIGHLY recommend visiting this great spot.
Very nice park. Kept up well
Good sized dog park. Its back behind the skate park - not a long walk. There are two sides: small dogs 25 lbs and under, large dogs over 25 lbs. Both areas are large, shaded, and have lots of sitting areas. There are toys strewn about. There are a few pieces of agility equipment. There are bag dispensers so you can clean up after your dog. There are sis water bowls and water spigots. There was plenty of parking, although it appeared to fill up pretty quickly when ball games started in the ball park area. I saw a couple of porta potties that appeared to be clean and didnt stink when I peeked inside.
Really nice dog park.
The park is huge. Plenty of space for our pups to run.
It was a very large dog park. Lots of dogs and owners. I was very pleased with how clean it was and how the 30+ dogs got along. The park is broken down in two areas, 25lbs and smaller and a 26lbs and bigger. Water is available and areas to dispose of trash and doggie bags.
Great for the pups. They have a large and a small dog park. Plenty of room to run.
I love going there my dog loves it
This free park is amazing. We go there to bring our dog to a big fenced in area. The area has tons of shade, places to sit down and agility things for your dog. Other than that, there is a good place to run, a baseball field, basketball courts and a skate park.
Friendly people and plenty of room for large dogs to run and play. Its has drinking water for pets.
Took my dog to this park, its huge! He loves the trees and the toys. Hes always so happy running around there.
This is an awesome park. There are so many different areas for whatever activity you are interested in, whether indoors or outside. The entire park is huge with plenty of parking everywhere. The trails, fields and courts are well maintained and in excellent condition.
This place is awesome. I take my dog to the dog park there every weekend. So much room for him to run around and meet other dogs. And the track that circles the park great as well. Its nice to have a place like this to go to and enjoy.
This is one of the best free dog parks in the area. Especially for the little dog. There were several small dogs there and they all got along great! For those with big dogs they all seemed to be having a great time as well.. Plenty of room to run and enjoy life.. Have fun with your furbabbies !
Big park. Has side for big and small dogs
Just found this park not far from home while looking for free disk golf and I love it. Its huge and has much more to offer. Its worth checking out.
Love coming here getting in my steps and getting to take my family out.
Great dog park!! Lots of space. Shaded area. The people that visit seem nice and dogs are well behaved.
Been going for a few years now. Besides people bringing toddlers to run around (are you absolutely insane?) dont usually have any issues.
Nice place to exercise
Came to visit my son in Jacksonville, Im from Ohio and the park was wonderful. People are friendly and the dogs get along great. Plenty of room for them to run
This place is great. Wish I knew about sooner. People are respectfully and stop aggressive dogs. They also respected the children there. One of the dogs kept jumping up but the owner was on it. Its very large and in a nice park complex. Worth visiting
Just moved in the area and took my little pug. He had a amazing time. We will be back, BEAUTIFUL park !!!!!
Nice space for all dogs
I enjoy this park. Plenty of space and water.(to drink, non to swim in) Best free park I have been. Sometimes gets alittle crowded during peak hours but enough room to aviod rough housing.
Love this place, a lot of people seen to come here
Big fenced area for your pet to run around. Plus plenty of water dishies for your pet! I am so happy to find such a nice place for my dog to rub around in.
Reasonably maintained staff friendly. Good place to meet people.
This is a very spacious park. It is divided from small dogs to small dogs. Available water play pools. Well shaded. The dogs get along together. There are tables, chairs, in a picnic environment.
Its great for the whole family with a dog park 2 sides for smaller and bigger dogs
Super friendly people with their dogs! Have both small and large doggie areas. The large doggie area has plenty of places for your furbaby to roam. Has a sand pit for them to dig and plenty of spots for you to sit and relax.
There is plenty of space for the dogs to run and play. There is even places for owners to sit. Tons of trees, so dont worry about shade in this harsh Florida heat. And yes, there is an area for the big dogs and the small.
My dog loved it she was so excited to get out of the house I was excited that she was excited.
Love this park. So many things to do. One if the best disk golf courses round..
Amazing dog park. Nice little skate park. Frizby Golf, soccer fields, baseball fields. Nice place.
Love this place. Very large and two separate parks for large and small dogs. Everyone including the dogs are friendly. Theres plenty of seating and supplied poop bags which is nice. Over all clean and fun.
I love this place! The park is beautiful but the real attraction is the dog park! The people are super friendly and truly love dogs!
This dog park is almost never dead. Always dogs and puppies for your furry family member to play with. Theres a side for small dogs that are less than 25 lbs and another for larger dogs greater than 25 lbs. Alot of obstacles and toys for your dog to play in
There was a Rattlesnake In the middle of the field, but other than that it was wonderful.
My newly adopted puppy and I visited. Was enjoyableLots of other canines for him to mingle with. Lots of tennis balls and water stations. Will visit again
Took the babies for the first time yesterday and make this our regular park.. clean and friendly and lots of room to run and play
Nice dog park. Has two separated spaces for large and small. Its big enough for dogs to run full speed and have room to spread out if there are a lot of people there.
Very well maintained and good sized dog park. There’s lots of shade, watering stations and tennis balls everywhere. Our 3 dogs loved it.There are no signs for it though. It’s close to the skate park area.
I love this park. Its clean and the atmosphere is very relaxing! It caters to people and dogs...
Nice dog park with equipment. The dog park is divided for small dogs and large dogs. Overall, it is a nice, shaded, fenced in area. The only downfall is that I didn’t see any kind of Lake or pond.
Love this place! Its our 2nd favorite dog park in Jax. Dogwood being our first. The best part is theres lots of shade and free. Its no frills but perfect for the dogos and our two huskies love it.
Love this park! It is so great
I like this park because its free and 99 percent of the time there is nice people and nice dogs. I like that it provides water and pop bags and toys. I also like that most of it is shaded.
Great baseball fields. Bleachers are great they are covered
I love bringing my dogs here however its come to my attention that some owners arent very responsible when bringing dogs to the park. some encourage their dogs to fight other dogs. One man encouraged his dog (who was snarling and snapping at my lab terrier mix) to bite its face off this blatent encouragement of violence is appalling especially because as a Terrier mix owner I have a responsibility to ensure that my Terrier is well behaved and doesnt add to the stereotypical idea of a terrier being a bad/agressive dog. Also one man blatently picked up and threw my cockerspaniel mix dog which was appalling. Basically usually this park is nice and 98% of dog owners at the park are great but just watch out for the 2% that encourage violence.
Really nice place to take your little dogs and big dogs just got two separate areas one for 25 lb in one 4/25 lb is really great a really cool experience I enjoyed it very much
The dog park is great but there isnt any seating for humans. we just all stand around or play with our dogs.
This is a beautiful Park full of Athletics for children its almost 200 Acres, nature trails, soccer fields, baseball fields, a great place to come and relax and enjoy your day
Place is good to come let your dogs run around. They will get dirty so plan on that. Plenty of other dogs there for them to play with so thats a plus but other than that there are no amenities so to speak. It just a fenced off area for dogs. It is worth noting that there is an area for dogs greater than 25lbs and less than 25lbs.
Awesome free dog park with toys and lots of space!
Great place for dogs fun and other dogs
Love this park. So big and enough room for dogs to run around in.
Love this dog park. Lots of space for big dogs, clean, and there is always friendly people/dogs here.
My dog loves it.
My dogs love the space and its really clean
Nice shaded dog park. A few too many trees however if you have a dog that requires wide open spaces to sprint or get up to speed.
It was our 1st time my German Shepard had so much fun.
My kids and I love this park. Its our favorite place to go on Sundays with our dog.
Need a slide or some things for the small dogs to jump off in and slide off and walk up but other than that great
