Love this multipurpose park! There is so much to do here, from a great kids park, hiking trails safe and short enough to take even the kiddos on. There’s a dock that leads to a beautiful view of the St. John’s River, as well as a boat access to it. The bathroom area has educational information on the St. John’s River, and plenty of table enclosures for all kinds of parties. This is a great treasure hidden in the beautiful Mandarin area.
Great park with plenty of play equipment and some spaces to explore. Its next to a boat ramp so you get great views of the river and sometimes get to see some wildlife, too. Bathrooms have recently been upgraded and are very clean. Lots of shade and places for caregivers to sit while children run amok.
Nice park!Definitely going there again! We had a barbecue party there fun for whole family!
Great park! They have a nice playground and field. Lots of benches. There is a boat ramp and a pier you can walk out on and sit. Also, restrooms and plaques with information about the history and nature in the area. Will be back!
Great place to ride the trails and or launch your boat or just enjoy the view of Julington river inlet
Checked out the boat ramp and pier. Nice and clean, many trails for walking. Only one boat in/out at a time. But not busy at all today 10/31/20
Great place with decent bathrooms and nice play area..has a dock for water sports and is by a harbor.
Good place to explore the outdoors. A nice playground for kids as well
Awesome place to have a birthday party for your kids.
Looked up and there was a long black SNAKE about 10 foot away from me!
It was quiet and peaceful there was a dock it was clean big park but one side of it had ants all over it so didnt like that part there was a fountain nice water clean bathroom the park and broken peices but a nice place to bring pets and older kids
Great park for kids nice clean restrooms and a lot of shade.
Love the peaceful places to sit an the long sturdy bridge with a cover area to sit over the water
This place was great! I really loved it! I loved the dock and I loved the trails and I loved the playground. My daughter had a wonderful time and I look forward to going back again soon. There were a lot of families there and that made it have a safe feel to the place. I expect that this place gets great reviews. It definitely gets one from me. Will be back again!
I love this park.Boat ramp,a place to walk, run.Plenty of shade trees, clean restrooms .I enjoyed.
Great place to go walk around, fish on the pier, boating or let the kids play on the playground. There’s all kinds of activities that can be done outside and covered picnic tables that can be utilized. There are some Feral cats around so if you bring an animal make sure they aren’t going to freak out.
Nice boat ramp for visiting Black Creek without crossing the Buckman bridge from the east.
Clean and great place to go with your pup!
This is a clean well-maintained Park I love going to the park walking out on the dock sitting and just enjoying the view very peaceful very clean has a boat ramp that was very busy
Very nice neighborhood park overlooking Julington Creek, with playground, boardwalk with a pavilion. A boat ramp and large parking lot for boat trailers adjacent to the boardwalk. Bathrooms and water fountains. Several natural walking trails are on site, however the summer storms fell many trees that made few trails impassable
This park is gorgeous, conveniently located next to Julington Creek Fish Camp for a nice lunch or dinner, and includes a well kept boat ramp for those inclined to aquatic recreation. There is a nice playground and picnic area for family activities, as well as trails for hiking. Its dog friendly so our little energetic ones can enjoy themselves along with us!
Very peaceful place for a picnic - a special treat during the COVID psndemic!
My Toddler was invited to a birthday party. We had a blast. Beautiful park, nice views and a lot to do around. Love It!
Really great, clean park with a variety of things to do! The kids playground has an area for smaller kids which is nice and the long boardwalk out to the river is fantastic and clean. Overall it’s one of our favorite parks in the Jacksonville area!
S good place to relax and take a walk on the trails
This park is great I love it four my grand kids. Theyer 6 and 7 and they love it. There is something for them all to do. Also there is a pier that you can walk to that you can fish off of. Its absolutely great.
Good playground equipment. Good side of town. Water is beautiful. Not sure if public parks normally spray for ants but this one could use a treatment.
Great park. Plenty of space with walking, and hiking trails. River front park with a pond on the premises. Nice playground and boat launch. Covered grill areas with picnic tables can be reserved for parties. Pet friendly (leashed of course). Building with bathrooms, water fountains, and educational material on local plant, marine, and animal life. One of the cleaner and nicer parks in Duval County in my opinion.
A nice park. Nice playground for kids.
Cool place to stop and visit
Bice place. Just bring a bug repellent
Nice peaceful place in the late afternoon.
Great boat ramp.
Mandarin Park is a relatively small park in Jacksonville Florida with waterfront on Julington Creek that has a boat ramp. There is a road that loops in the park. Few short trails and beautiful pond. Parking is abundant and free.
We were looking for a place to have a small getaway. This was not it but for a community park and boat ramp it is perfect!!
Its a nice area.
Great for launching boats. Plenty of trailer parking. The park itself is a great place for family and friends to gather.
Was nice very good area
My grandson loves it there. He always meets good people to play and talk to. And I can stay it the car and watch him where ever he goes. Nice and clean and close to home.
A sweet park with a stunning view of the St. Johns River and Julington Creek Bridge across the marina. The trail is clearly marked on the Eastside, not so much on the West. Tracking around the back of peoples fences, I managed to do a 1.5 mile walk. Not sure how people manage to do 3 miles here. Its a lovely place to reflect... are there more than 2 frogs? That might be a fun game, to find more.
Went here with my daughter. Not a bad park, but its surrounded by trees making it wet for a long time in the mornings. There is also a nice pier near it. Good place to go and enjoy the river and see some boats.
Great trails. Gorgeous water view. Gazebos & cook out areas. Place to run & play with the kids. Dogs welcome. Tennis courts. My favorite park!
Love this place. Great with the kids they have a kids play area with educational areas about nature. There is a dock with turtles and fish also nature walks. A terrific place to spend the morning.
The current situation must be keeping maintenance to a minimum
Nice boat ramp lots of trailer parking
Beautiful, wooded area with playground and public restrooms, boat ramp and water access as well as a pier you can walk out on. Quiet area. A hidden treasure!
This was such a cool park. They had a pier, pavilion, and a great park for the kids. If you like walking we found some trails that went into the woods a bit.
A good park but horrible people there were multiple families throwing packs of caprisuns and water bottles into the river on top of multiple riding automatic scooters running over multiple people and fishing rods
Nice place to take the kids. Water nearby so keep an extra close eye on them. But its fun to walk on the boardwalk.
I love taking my 3 yr old (almost 4 now) to this park... He loves the playground and its very safe. Always a lot of kids and with their parents. Everyone is very respectful. Families rent out the little pavilions for birthdays and events. There are trails to walk and a nice little dock/pier to watch the boats come in and out. Always a great time.
Great place to go. Picnics, group gatherings, walking trail, great boat ramp
Beautiful park, Great for people with Boats and Jet skis. Plenty fishing areas as well as a picnic and BBQ section. Childrens park looks nice, they even have a nature trail you can walk for exercise.
Nice park with picnic areas and walking trails. Additionally, a boat launch and walkway over the water.
Nice little park. The kids really liked it.
The bathrooms are pretty gross but the park is amazing!
Great boat ramp and place to have picnics and gatherings they have charcoal grills and tables with pavilions
Very nice area well kept...
Such a great place to get outside and enjoy a beautiful day.
Dont go at night.
Its peaceful here. I just wish people would stop feeding those raccoons! They are everywhere. When you walk up to the bathroom you see the raccoons hands trying to grab your feet.
Great place for a kids birthday party. Biggest downfall are the bathrooms. They are horrible
I love this park. Its always clean. The play grounds is great for the kids. The view of the water is perfect. The boat ramp is well maintained. The walking trails are pleasant. Not a lot to see.
Very quiet and peaceful in the evenings and at night. Serene. Gets a bit noisy in the day time but is still a wonderful spot any time.
Possibly one of the best hidden gems when it comes to parks in Jacksonville located right on the Duval county St Johns county line Mandarin Park features a boat launch kayak launch fishing hiking trail along with a ample playground and picnic areas.pavilions are on a first-come first-serve basis but can be reserved by calling the Parks department, basic BBQ grills are available but use of foil is advised. Boat launches recently renovated with a floating dock and wooden jetty that acts as a pier for fishing or observing the gorgeous and very scenic and photogenic Mandarin holiday Marina. Definitely a great spot for a picnic and family outing day.
Good boat ramp. Docks could use done repairs. Great place for kids, good play ground
I love the park. Mandarin Park is one of my favorite places to go to reflect on my childhood memories of my life and late brothers life.
Had a great experience at the Mandarin Park, there is a kids play ground with swings, slides, monkey bars and more, also has a picnic area, public boat ramp and a picnic pavilion area with one large picnic table and awning for birthday parties and such, and unlike most parks it had a history building where you could learn about Mandarin Florida, this is a great park for kids and big kids ️
Good fishing
Love this boat ramp! We use it often. It is wide enough for 2 boats at the same time and the water is deep enough for bigger boats. The loading dock is a little short but that isnt normally much of an issue.
Boat ramp needs simple traffic paint to stencil arrows and mark 2 lanes. People want to be courteous, but need fundamental rules to follow. A paid attendant (ranger) would help this busy facility to stay clean and effective.
Its a public public park with a single boat ramp wide enough to accommodate 2 at a time although there is limited docking. Parking is good and there are a couple picnic tables, kids play area public restrooms.it will be crowded on holidays and weekends.
Lots of trees. Great dock and playground
Beautiful park with water and nature trails
Nice place to fish and bring u boat on the water
The view from the dock is beautiful.
This place is for good people who dont go often, speak when spoken to, and look the other in the eye and pause to look the other in the eye and acknowledge the other, when greeted even as small children. And if that other takes that opportunity to bore, then they be damned and cursed for theyre old. The proper response is a small earnest smile and a half nod of the head and move on.
Great as a boat ramp with ample parking for trailers. The dock has a nice view of Julington Creek and can accommodate canoes or kayaks. But bathrooms are seriously run down. Be ready to frolick with the feral cats too.
Nice park with slides and swings for kids. Boat ramp and jetty. Huts for barbecuing Check it out!
Excellent facility. Great equipment for children to play.
I love coming here and going for walks with my husband. Yes you can visit the large boat dock and watch the sun set and the boats go by. But you can also go for a nature walk in the nearby trails and be one with the trees. The oak trees are beautiful and the air is fresh. Its free to park there and its safe. There are bathrooms which is pretty much what you expect of a public park restroom. There are also water fountains and an information center about the local flora and fauna of the area.
Nice playground and beautiful view! Great for finishing as well!
Had a great time there. Clean and quiet. Catching a few eel was pretty entertaining too.
