Great academy. My daughter has been a part of the recreational soccer teams for 4 years and she enjoys it. Theres alot of opportunity to build excellent relationships with coaches, players and parents. Coaches have been great with a few exceptions. Theres not too much shelter provided for weather conditions. Snacks are usually provided.
Incredibly unprofessional club. We paid for the spring season, which didnt happen due to COVID. I paid in December for the Spring league which typically begins in March. Towards the end of March I started emailing to ask about a refund. Each response I received told me the season hadnt been cancelled just delayed, so they werent necessarily planning on offering refunds. Now its midway through May (which is when the spring season would have ended) and theyve now come up with options for us: play in the summer (last I checked theres still a pandemic going on and who wants their kids playing in that summer heat), let them keep your money as a tax donation (are you serious?!), or they will give you a 1/3 discount on your fall registration. If youve heard the saying, With friends like these, who needs enemies? Then youll know how Im feeling about this club right about now. Theyve also rebranded themselves from the Armada to the Jacksonville Football Club, with a new motto: Integrity. Family. Passion.Well it seems like youve picked a highly ironic motto. You have no integrity if youre withholding families money. Youre taking them over the coals. Maybe thats what they have Passion for. Not sure.Bottom line, this club was fine about 4 years ago when we first started with them. Through the years its dwindled to coaches who didnt really have experience and fields that were so much sand it was at times unplayable. Now this with the lack of refund.(even half back would be something) seals the deal for me. Were done with the Armada/Jacksonville FC, or whatever theyre calling themselves now. If you dont want to fall into the same traps with these people, youll stay away too. Theres other soccer clubs and sports to play in this town. We dont need this.
Agree with Susan Peters, 100%. No services were rendered, and yet theyve kept all of our money for a cancelled season. I could understand a nominal fee for costs, whatever they incurred, but this is robbery. Flat-out.Where did all the money go? Thats the $64,000 question.
Posted on the Facebook page and it was immediately taken down as did others that I know with negative reviews! You all are a bunch of crooks and hope you get all that you deserve.
Fields get so much use that its hard to keep the grass in great condition but the staff does yeomans work.
The only experience I have had is they schedule games with normal recreation leagues so they can get practice or play down for their skill level. Doesnt seem like an Academy that would want to try to get better but only make it appear their academy is good.
My son has played for this program for years. Always great coaches and experience.
Great fields, nice coaches, nice community good refs, just a good place in general. No complaints from me.
Great community of caring individuals who help to shape our young ones into well rounded football players.
Nice
Coaches are great. Administration is poor. My son was on a 2 different roster after a failed request from a coach. Even practice with one of the teams for 2 weeks to find out not on the team roster at the last minute. Now expected to travel out of state with an unknown coach and unknown teammates. Used to be good. Really poor administration. Worst I seen in 7 years.
Dont be fooled by their records in winning in the North Florida/South Georgia area. Cant compete with South Florida clubs. Enough said. Here is a recent score against an elite club in south Florida. According to GotSoccer, none of the boys teams rank top 10 in Florida...
This club is strictly about the money, they care ZERO about the players or the parents. Doesnt matter if you played for them for 10 years they will turn their back on you in a heart beat. We had a terrible coach, who wasnt running good practices and cutting them 20 to 30 mins short every practice and would bad mouth the kids and curse in front of them and this is 10 year old and under. We tried to communicate with the league to get the coach some help and advocate for the children and we were met with threats to be careful for what you wish for and they were right!! Instead of taking it out on the parents they have taken it out on the kids whos parents spoke up. Now our kids cant make a team and no coach wants them because of the lies they spread by the previous coach and admins!! Its ok my $1500 a year per kid looks better in my pocket than in theirs!!!
Plenty of well maintained soccer fields
At 1 time I really thought it was about the kids but now I know its pure politics and MONEY
Not too bad. Still needs work.
Gr-sons Soccer game was on their field!
Soccer Championship
Good park, not coaches
Unorganized!!!! They overbooked the team rosters. After taking our money and practicing with another team for two weeks we were told they didn’t have a spot for us. Still waiting to find out if we have a team or not, wish I had known this prior to purchasing soccer uniform & gear.
Looks like all $ s are being spent on main field while 2 others get idnored.
Best coaches and facilities in North Florida.
Great fields
Please can play you time
