Tyler will help anyway possible & is very knowledgeable when it comes to archery, Josh is your go to when it comes to anything firearm related, & Tom is also very knowledgeable & helpful with archery. All in all I left very satisfied with all of their help, they’ve got a lifetime customer. Prices are very good as well.

Great staff. Friendly and knowledgeable. Helped out with outfitting a new bow, setup, and adjusting. After nearly 2 and a half hours, I was set up. Very few places offer the hands on customer service, and willingness to help those less knowledgeable. I will absolutely be returning for everything.

My husband surprised me by bringing me here for my birthday to get me a bow. Tyler helped us find the perfect bow for me and we even got to test it on the range. He didnt pressure us or try and force us into a more expensive bow. He made sure that we were safe and even taught us the proper way to string and unstring our bow. My husband found a bow he liked as well and we were able to put it on lay away. We will definitely be going here again for our archery needs.

Everyone was very helpful and didnt attempt to sell me things I didnt need. Also, I felt each persons love for archery. All were invested in me getting as tuned in as possible. They explained the whys and gave simple suggestions to increase my effectiveness. Will be returning regularly for services, range and events. I think I found a home shop!! Thanks guys!!!

If you are looking to buy a bow, have one set up or anything or that nature; take your business somewhere else.My experience could turn into a rant, but let’s just say it’s a bunch of young opinionated kids who clearly have no idea what they are doing.

The team at this shop are very welcoming and willing to help with any questions a rookie can ask. The free archery range membership with the purchase of a new bow was a great deal in my eyes, giving me a place to practice no matter the weather. I am a very satisfied customer who is now introducing this shop to friends and family.

Being new to archery and wanting a new recurve bow, we decided to come here to see their selection and get some advice. I felt very intimidated walking in because I really knew nothing. Tyler and Jason were SO helpful and friendly! We basically learned that we were doing everything wrong, even down to the arrows we were using. They tuned up my bow, and set my husband up with an awesome recurve bow. We got to test it out in their indoor range and it’s like night and day! We could see their love for the sport and it got us extremely excited about it too. Thank you for making us feel welcome!

My wife and I took my two young boys (6 and 8) to Southern Sportsman today for the first time to get their PSE Mini Burners tuned and set up right for each of them. Josh and Tyler were both very friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and most of all took time with both of my boys to get them shooting properly. Prices are very reasonable for the services they provide. I will definitely be going back !!

Well, rick from strike zone couldn’t fix and tune my bow despite his reputation. Bradly’s bow tech skills from green acres joke!!! Super frustrating to think this is Jacksonville’s pro shops and they can’t tune my set up lots of wasted time. But then something amazing happened, walked through the doors of this place and within 30 minutes nino had my bow shooting bullet holes in paper and whisper quiet !!! Great people, shop, and products. Hope to see these guys take over the outdoor culture in Jacksonville and Nassau County’s also I’m not a review guy and I was so impressed with this places style and business dealings here I am writing a review for them awesome shop there getting my $ from now on!!!!!

This place is awesome! Its hard to find solid Bow Techs now a days and Nino hit it out of the park! Picked up a Prime CT9, transferred everything from my old target bow to the new one, paper tuned it (first shot was a bullet hole), fixed the peep twist, and overall made my experience excellent! Highly recommend them for all of your archery needs!

Im new to archery so I needed a ton of help to get started. The guys at Southern Sportsman are super knowledgeable and helpful. They got me on my feet in the archery world. I got my bow set up and tuned to the measurements that fit me, my bow sighted, and many pro-tips to get my shot more consistent. Nino is gone. Where did he go? He helped me tremendously with my shooting skills. He didnt charge extra and would always give me pointers when he had the time. I would go to this store to buy my archery equipment because of the amazing service he provided. Without Nino I will shop around for the best price.

Wish I wouldve known about this place sooner.. the staff is awesome and they have everything you could tell your wife you need and want.. Ill never spend another dollar in those wanna be outdoor stores. My time and money are better spent at southern sportsman

Purchased twice from this store and these guys are awesome. Nino took care of my bow needs expertly. Lance took care of my firearm needs with precision. Everyone in there treats you like youre old friends even though yall may have just met. The archery range is a great set up with extremely reasonable prices. They have a large selection and Black Rifle Coffee in stock! Locally owned which is an added bonus. My new go to for all my outdoor needs. Thanks guys.

Awesome place. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I met and talked with owner as I was checking out. The firearms stock was limited, but they had some impressive firearms though. Ill definitely be back and happy to spend my money here. I ordinary find this place through the Black Rifle Coffee Company, they are a dealer for BRCC and they had my favorite blend in stock. Through enjoyed my visit.

Awesome service and knowledgeable staff. Walked in with my bow I bought a while back fafrom another dealer and they helped me tune everything and change the peep sight within 10 minutes. By far superior to any other archery outlet in our area. Highly recommend you visit. Huge firearms selection as well.

Visited their booth at the Jacksonville gun show. Selected a gun for $219, which i mentioned twice while I was waiting for my background check to clear. They still charged me $224.99 (240.74 + tax). I never saw the total until I was handed my receipt which was conveniently placed in my bag.They were friendly so Ill give them 2 stars but the untrustworthyness keeps them from getting 5.They gave me a free shirt which I guess I paid forNow that I think about it, background check price. My fault, Im an idiot 5 stars

Im just getting started with bows so I called this place to set my new bow up. I expected to just get my peep sight installed but Nino hooked me up with measurements, timing adjustments, pull back (I could be wrong on the terminology) and much more. He even took a look at my technique. This is the place to go whether youre new or pro. Definitely my go to spot from now on. 10/10 easily

This place is great! I originally took an old Bear bow in to be restrung and adjusted for my draw length. It turned out that the old bow couldnt be adjusted short enough for my draw length. Nino helped me get into a new bow at a very competitive price! They helped me get the new bow adjusted and shooting right for me. Now Im going to be ready for deer season. Thanks again to Nino and the crew!

Brought my first bow in to setup for me. Met the resident Bow Tech Nino. He set the bow up just right for me. Very attentive to detail. Gave very good advice. Ill definitely be back for adjustments, upgrades, and advice.

My first time here and these guys are great I never felt rushed, felt very welcome I spent almost 3 hours here and they were very patient and answer all my questions allowed me to try out multiple guns multiple times felt like a group of friends rather then a company at the same time professional and respectable. I highly recommed this place to anyone wether you are new to the outdoors and an experience outdoorsman it’s a great company I will spend my money at and never regret it.

Excellent customer service. My wife is intimidated by guns but their salesman made her feel very comfortable while she held and learned about each type of pistol (I learned a thing or two myself). Prices are the best in the area. Will def be back for my firearm and outdoor needs.

Nino did a fantastic job of restringing and tuning my bow. He is very knowledgeable and helpful . The entire staff was courteous and friendly .

Nino is very knowledgeable about bows. Great instructor on how to use a bow and form. Originally gave a five star but changing because he didnt explain the importance of having a finger glove and let me fire for just over an hour without one. Now the tip of my ring finger has been numb for a solid 48 hours and may have to pay for a doctor visit because after these 48 hours my hand is starting to hurt more and it wants to stay closed and goes numb when i open it. DO NOT FIRE BARE FINGER. Get a release or a thick finger glove. Did not explain to me that for every 10lbs of weight you need an extra layer leather, had to google this information myself. Being my starter bow was at 20lbs should have recommended me a 2 or even 3 layer finger gloves as I had explained to him the last time I shot an arrow was when i was 5 or 6. That was two decades ago.

These guys are so friendly! I came to their grand opening, and they were so nice and helpful. They said theyre focusing on the archery portion of their business for now, but they can special order guns, too. They have a shooting area for archery and they are planning on expanding what they have! Check this place out!

This place is awesome! Nino the bow tech is the most knowledgeable person that Ive talked to here in Jax. I dropped my Mathews of for a new custom string and arrow rest. It was done exactly when he said. This bow has never shot this good. I also dropped of my new in the box Bear Torrix crossbow to have it put together and sighted in(Im just to busy with no time to do it myself) to make sure its ready for the season. Again, when I picked it up it was dead on and on time. I followed his recommendations on the rail lube and have been very pleased with the service and workmanship of this shop! I wont trust anyone else with working on my archery equipment, they are great!Thanks buddy!!!
