Beautiful resort right at the base of the mountain...probably one of the best places to stay during ski season. Drinks and food at their restaurant were very good. It’s removed from town though, so we missed the vibe and people watching that staying in downtown Jackson HoleWould have offered. Overall though it was a great experience.
Had a much needed, very fun and physically distant day at Snow King. We purchased the Big King pass for my 7 & 8 year old and the guest service person was very helpful in guiding me to what would work for my 3 year old. While not cheap, you get everything you pay for and more, so worth it! The staff was friendly and helpful which you don’t usually find in these type of adventure activity places. We also ate in the on site restaurant and everything was good. I was really happy to have a beer with lunch and the prices were very reasonable given the convenience. Most convenience food doesn’t taste good and is way expensive. Kudos to Snow King for a very well run setup. This was our first time venturing out for a “public place” activity in a long time and the initial anxiety quickly melted away. They had cleaning procedures in place for all of the rides and the employees all wore masks and seemed to try and be respectful to keep their distance as much as safety allowed. If you have a younger child (3-5 years), we were able to ride the coaster, alpine slide, chair lift, play putt putt and do the maze. I felt like I got my money’s worth for the little ones too. The ropes course was the highlight of the day for the big kids and the area is nice and shaded. Would definitely recommend this as a must do for anyone traveling to Jackson with kids. They have the tickets set up in a way that you can spend an hour or an entire day depending on what works for your schedule.
We stayed at snow king over Labor Day and were very happy with our choice. Clean, nicely decorated rooms with comfortable beds. Breakfast at Hayden’s post was great and they even accommodated our take out order that we ended up having just enough time to sit down and eat. Would definitely return for ski season!
Very nice resort for the cost. I did the hike chair lift roller coaster mini golf and alpine slide which was amazing. The food at Hayden’s post was very good and affordable. The room was pleasant but the fan in the bathroom didn’t work and we told them twice it was out...they didn’t fix it..,we paid for a room with a balcony and view but there was no furniture on the balcony and there was two trees that obstructed our view. Overall it’s a pretty nice resort for a family during the summer time. We spent two nights here and 4 at the Marriott in town. Hope my review helps some future travelersDale
Had a blast here... for sure a must do on a family vacation. Please be aware that the alpine slide is very dangerous for kids who have no fear! My 14yr old flew off his sled 2 different times. Please make sure kids know the consequences before riding the alpine slide, and use the brake. The cowboy coaster is really fun, and the chair lift to the top of the mountain has an amazing view once you exit the lift at the top.
Hotel nice. Would have been nice if made aware house keeping was not a daily thing. The in house restaurant could not keep up with guest or accommodate large groups(6) very well. We waited over and hour and a half and then was told we still had a wait for and additional thirty minutes after watching smaller groups go in. We gave up out of frustration of watching others go in having hungry people in the group. Over all nice hotel $$$ but ok.
We found SnowKing to be below average in general. If cost is taken into consideration, there would be 0 stars given. I wish I had read more reviews and listened to the negative ones. You have been warned. Overpriced & below average in every way possible. You can literally hear the people staying in adjacent rooms breathing, coughing, and talking in normal tones. Heaven forbid if they are playing music, which can be clearly heard in your room. The front desk is not very helpful. Lots of hidden fees as well. Overall - bad experience.
The hotel rooms were dirty! Carpets left black marks on our feet. We requested a new room for our 2nd stay 3 days later. And it was the same state of cleanliness. Also 2 lights in each room were out along with the fans. The ac units were very loud. Will not stay here again. Fool me twice.
We loved visiting! We did the Alpine slide and coaster, and really loved them. Our 3 year old was able to join too, and wanted to ride again and again. When we went down the coaster, there was a rider in front of my husband who went down so slowly the whole time, that we often had to break or even stop completely so we wouldn’t run into her. We were able to talk to the ticket office and they let us go down again because of our less than stellar first experience. It did not disappoint the second time! We would recommend it to anyone for a fun little day outing.
We were there in late June. The ride to the top was very pleasant and the view of Jackson and surrounding area was well worth it. The people who helped us were all courteous. We had four teenagers with us and they enjoyed doing the Cowboy Coaster and the Amazen Maze. The Cowboy Coaster was a slam dunk for fun, but we werent sure about the maze. We should not have worried! They took to it right away and had a blast. We enjoyed watching them from the observation platform. Overall, our visit to Snow King was a nice addition to our visit to Jackson.
My family and I had a blast at Snow King Mountain! Being a very competitive family, we raced each other on the alpine tracks, out putted each other in mini golf, and out-sluethed in the maze. We stayed for about 7 hours having an absolute blast. It was a great addition to our vacation.
We called in the morning to book the room. We arrived at 10am, knowing the room wouldnt be ready until 4pm as they told us. They stored the luggage and we returned at 4:45pm. The room was not ready. The manager said it will be ready at 5pm and she would call us. At 5:35p I went to the front desk, we did not receive a call. I was not happy but she said the room was ready and gave a us a 10.00 bottle of wine. The room was nice and clean. Lots of stuff for the kids to do outside of ski season. Other than the check in it was pretty good.
Zip line course is no joke. Mountain coaster is a blast.
I really enjoyed everything we did there. I really liked the tree top adventure. The only annoying thing was that we could not do all the ropes courses because we had to wait for slow people in front of us.
Wish we stayed at the hotel to enjoy this amazing place. My kids had so much fun. Highly recommend just buying the day pass. The obstacle course in the trees and then the rollercoaster only once gets you close to what the daily pass would cost. Kids wanted to do the rollercoaster again but I wasnt shelling out more money. Totally worth the day pass!! Loved this and if we ever come back, we will definitely be staying here!
Snow King provides great value for a ski day. Decent mixed terrain gives a variety of options over three lifts. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great time when they have lots of snow.
One of the best ski resorts that you could find in the US. The staffs are extremely helpful and very friendly. The rooms are new and thoughtfully decorated. Everything is perfect and our Christmas holiday couldn’t be any better anywhere else. Highly recommended!
Awesome front end staff, beautiful decorations and amazing views. Highly recommend!
Completely fraudulent experience. Do not book here. We booked a 2 queen bed room and were placed in a room with a king bed and a pullout. The hotel sold out of the 2 queen bed rooms and will not refund us for not having 2 real beds. The manager did absolutely nothing.
I was orginally going to give snow king a lower star rating because I did not love how the ski school area was setup. The run was very short, I have snowboarded before but always like a refresher course. The reason I had given the place 5 stars because all the staff had been friendly and seemed to enjoy working at this location. The snow tubing area looked a little small and wish it was a longer run.During my visit the trails had no fresh powder however all the trails had been groomed so it was enjoyable. The rental process was smooth and the lifts had good areas for getting off.I do wish the trail signs had bigger markings, it was my first time here but I did enjoy the experience and getting to the resort was very simple.
I enjoy this hotel and the location cant be beat. You can walk up the door and go right up the mountain, walk just a few to town.
Extremely nice staff. nice rooms. not as nice during covid, not many activities
Great location and good value, nicely remodeled with some adventure amenities. Condos are a nice option. Alpine slide, chair lift, cowboy coaster & mini golf all onsite for summertime activities.
Stayed in August 2020The rooms was just perfect and very cleanRestaurant is reasonable priced and the food and service is great. If weather allows, find a table with view outside
Very clean friendly staff and very good restaurant we enjoyed the atmosphere and food was prepared and seasoned perfectly we had the salmon and butterfish plus we tried their breakfast and found it equally delicious. No big crowd no reservations just go relax
Good location, nice enough, restaurant was good, could walk many places depending on your mobility
This place is fantastic to visit during summer as well as winter. If you’re in the area, you have to ride the mountain roller coaster!!! It was a complete blast!!
We had such fun on the Cowboy Coaster! Love Snow King Mountain Resort.
Would give 5 stars - great location, fun runs, easy access to town. Only issues were the fact that 1. they were remodeling, which caused somewhat of an inconvenience, and 2. the in-house restaurant was very overpriced. They were very accommodating when we requested a room with a better view though. Went from looking at trees to seeing the Tetons! Great price for mountain state residents looking to ski Jackson.
Not great for beginners. Lots of challenging fun runs especially when theres been new snow. Pretty shady until March. Used to be an affordable hill for locals but new owners stopped offering discounts, events, lots of nickle and diming & upgrades are meh. Great views of town.
Great great local ski hill and mountain biking!
They gave us 2 queen beds (NOT KINGS), no AC, no kitchen, no dining room, no washer and dryer, etc. they messed up. Not to mention that the room isn’t on the website or close to everything else. The WiFi, the passcode given was only 3 letters and we couldn’t access WiFi. Trash and food was under one of the beds, and the blankets in closet were messed up and hanging all over the place. We did end up getting an upgrade but it’s only a 1 King and 1 pullout couch. We booked this weeks before and that’s what they gave us.
If you are there in the summer, ride the lift to the top, and enjoy the killer views.
Loads of fun with a great view of the Grsnd Teton mountains.
Tree Top Course was amazing, cowboys coaster, maze and miniture golf very well done, however, The apartment (4 bed, 3 bath) we stayed in was old & filthy (dirty dishes, sheets, carpets) And NOT worth the $1,000 a night! We did get a small discount when we checked out. The short walk to the resort and staying out of the busy jackson hole down town was nice. This is our 3rd stay and snow king and we will be back, but you take you chances with the accomodations for sure. Last time, we lost water in the place and they had to move us after I complained for 24 hrs.
Good place to have snow fun! A few different paths - beginners to advanced. There is also a very kid/family friendly area thats perfect for learning, practicing and/or getting warmed up. The staff is super friendly in every establishment. Half day passes (start at 1 PM) and full day passes are available too. Rent your gear here too! I believe a half day lift pass, boots and a snowboard where a tad bit less than $90 today on Sunday.Friday was free for locals, so if you or a family member live in the area, go Friday! My wife and I got boots and snowboards for less than $100 (maybe around $89?). Both days, everyone was friendly and helpful.
The hotel is great for the value. The locations in Jackson is great and close to downtown Jackson. In the summer they have fun things to do too. The rooms are also nice and clean.
Very cool place for kids and Zip Lines also for Adults.
We stayed in one of the two bedroom condos it was super clean lots of towels and pillows for us. The rooms were beautiful. The staff was nice and helpful. Parking was a little confusing but overall we loved it. We had beautiful Aspen trees right outside our deck absolutely stunning. We will be coming back.
Cowboy coaster was a blast. Great team working there as well, very friendly and courteous!!
Wonderful time here especially fun during the world Hill climbing championship
For the winter, steepest north-facing FIS race course in the lower 48 sums it up nicely. In the summer, the Cowboy Coaster gets it done!
Ive never skied snow king but I rode the mountain coaster, it was a very cool time. Ill recommend it to my next bus load of travelers coming through Jackson.
Cool ride from a while ago!
Great place to ski, but only take cash. At least when we were there.
Really nice place, well maintained great time at the climbs as well
We went tubing here and also on the alpine coaster. The process of purchasing tickets was a disaster (did you sign the waiver online? Well you have to do that first. So rude!) Then you walk way over to the alpine coaster then way back to the tubing. No signs, no maps. Very unorganized. But, on the flip side, both were so much fun and Id highly recommend each. We did not snowboard here.
This was defiantly a highlight of the trip! Mini Golf, the Alpine Slide & Cowboy Coaster
Love the Snow King! Perfect spot! Rm 653
Had a great stay at the resort. Our room was facing the pool so convenient to catch some sun.
I loved how uncrowned it was. The groomer terrain was great and there is plenty of other steep stufff.
Love love love!!! The snowboarding instructors are always amazings!! Our family loves this plaxe!
Perfect location for a powder day to TSA morning when Jackson Hole closed!! Skied to the door. Huge breakfast burritos.
Was here for a work conference during off season. Very comfortable and it seems like a great place to go for snow activities! Brewery, coffee shop, and restaurant was down the street and the views were amazing!
This was our second year coming to Jackson for Christmas and renting equipment from Snow King for our days skiing. The equipment rental area is located in the main hotel lobby, down stairs. The rental staff were accommodating and worked quickly even though they were extremely busy.My daughter (7) has had ski school both years here and has had mostly great experiences both times. I say mostly because she didn’t understand the first instructor (when she was 6 and in a group lesson) but the manager saw it was not going well and switched her to another instructor quickly and all was well! So for this year we again signed her up for group ski school and she was pared with Ms Sheila. Amazing instructor! Our daughter went from the magic carpet slope to the lift and 1 run down the green slope. Sheila took my daughter up with my husband (not a great skier) to show him the easiest route down and how he can help her if needed. The mountain was not something our daughter was sure about but she was thrilled that she was able to do it and only fell 3 times! Thank you, Sheila for the instruction and confidence you built into your session! It was an awesome Christmas gift to us!
The Cowboy Coaster was so much fun ! Even my timid 11-year old had a blast. Being able to control our own speed was such a game-changer. I wish we had time in our schedule to go back for the evening all-you-can-ride pass. I highly recommend this activity!
Awesome experience !!! Had a tons of fun.
A perfect place for families. Its only about 15 minutes from Teton Village but there is a ski run just out back of the hotel, with lots of other activities in the summer time. The food at the restaurant was very good, our room was clean and comfortable- a very nice location. I will very likely be back.
Really nice rooms and wicked comfortable beds. Quiet and easy to get everywhere in Jackson from here, often on foot once you get your bearings. The only criticism is why don’t they add the extra charges into the bottom line. I paid an extra $150 for sur-charges that seemed more related to people having access to the things I don’t use. Just charge the charge then I’m not irritated that I should’ve been swimming and working out when I was there just to sleep. Still....I would definitely stay there again!
Don’t be fooled by the name. This “resort” employee was extremely disrespectful to my entire family as we politely requested for a clean new room with a working lock. Instead of the employee politely responding appropriately to our request, they spoke in a rude manner that no costumer should ever deserve no matter what the situation. I highly recommend you find a different place with better room service, any place is better than this.
Great accommodations, an unusual better that represented room!Sorry, I should have said suite!
Old and outdated rooms. Restaurant had good food and drinks but the patio furniture was all rusty. Limited menu. The restaurant staff were great! Balconies had no patio furniture out. We were charged a 30 resort fee per night... which we were not told about. We were there two nights. The staff did not clean our room the day we were out until 10:00 pm! We came home to unmade beds and trash not taken out. Needless to say, we were not happy and we let them know that the next morning at check out.
You should be able to load your card meaning you should be able to buy the amount of hours you want to ski snow King can never compete with the village its a skiers mountain and local mountain in town. No one is ever there I dont know how they make it skiing is great. Always was always will be but theyre upping their prices and youre not getting much in return summer grooming needed.
We rented equipment and paid for beginning ski lessons. My kids loved their instructor and asked for more lessons. We did run into some trouble with one of the kids wandering off, but everyone at the resort, including other guests and the town police, was very responsive and wonderful. We stayed for 3 days and the resort staff were wonderful every day (and we put GPS on the kids). Highly recommend this resort as theyre family friendly and teach beginning skiing really well.
High ropes course was a blast! Challenging but not overwhelming. Ziplines could be faster or easier. Barely make it to the other side. Alpine slide down was a great finish!
Awesome place!! Lots of fun! Must eat at Kings Grill! Very, very good menu!
Weve always enjoyed going to Snow King in the winter as a family to ski and watch the Jackson Hole Moose hockey team. In the summer, the alpine slide & cowboy coaster are a blast! The price is too high for each and thats my only criticism, but theyre each worth doing at least once.
We had so much fun as a family. It was great for my kids that are risk takers and my cautious kids as well. It was safe and great family time.
Not your to destination in the area but very reasonably priced and very family friendly.
Beautiful Condos with wonderful views. Concierge was great and staff was extremely friendly. Front desk is a little disorganized so make sure to have everything printed out if you buy a ski package with lift tickets included. They were willing to help in every way so 5 stars from us.
So much fun on the coasters you n the summer! The workers could use a LOT of training in customer service and not just ignoring the customers while they sit on their phones! Very disappointed in the staff....but had a great time on the coasters!
We had a great time. The hotel was very helpful and patient with us. It was also very convenient and location was perfect! The kids absolutely loved the tubing, but the cost was ridiculous for one hour.
Cowboy Coaster! It was so much fun! The team members where helpful and friendly. Great Experience.
We took the scenic chair lift to a Narnia-like winter wonderland, where we strolled through deep snow and enjoyed the silence within the trees. The view of the valley and Tetons was spectacular. The guys running the chair lift were super kind and accommodating.
Our family of 5 rode the alpine slide and the alpine coaster. The rides are fun enough, and the Mountain View’s are beautiful, but at $35 a person it felt overpriced for two brief rides. For the price of one additional ride (~$15) we could have purchased a whole day pass at our local amusement park.
Fun times to be had, but pretty expensive for what you receive... $100 for two adult and two riders for two rides, the alpine slide at $40 and the Cowboy coaster at $60... would love to rate 5 stars, but the hole in my pocket wont allow for it....
Beautiful condos and grounds at Grand View Lodge. Housekeeping is great, general service was spotty. The hotel is missing that lobby gathering area feel needed for our group conference event.
What a great place to bring the family for some fun! The tubing hill is excellent! This is the first place I ever got my kids on skis! The magic carpet area is so perfect for them! The family favorite by far was the cowboy coaster! I could ride that thing all day long! The staff were all super friendly as well! Its an awesome place to have a family adventure and its right in town! Ill be back for sure!
Nice place to stay.
Super cute little resort in a fun town!
Beautiful place.
I recommend Snow king moutain resort in jackson they will pick you at the airport and the shuttle is free ! But the the best part is you can take your pet ! Snow king is a friendly pet Hotel. Deposit and incidental charges will be refund back on your credit card within a week so don’t worry no surprises you are safe at Snow king
Snow King Resort went above and beyond! We rode the Cowboy Coaster and then loved the candid action pictures so much, we decided to buy them. I set my camera on the counter to purchase my pictures, but then forgot about it and left. Half way home when I couldnt find my camera, I immediately realized what I had done. All the pics from our whole vacation were on that SD card. I called the Resort. They had found my camera and had set it aside for me. After I identified it, she carefully wrapped it up and sent it FedEx. I asked her how much I owed for shipping and she said, No charge, Im glad we found it. Not only is this a beautiful place to stay, the staff are so very kind and customer focused. We will definitely be back!
Had a wonderful time all due to the patience, kindness, thoughtfulness and guidance of Christian! Without him, our adventure would not have been the same! What an exciting, fantastic varied day Snow King can offer! I will always come back and spend at least one day on that Mountain having fun and challenging my own resources and I highly recommend it to all who visit Jackson Hole! Thanks again Christian, you REALLY made a difference!
Great skiing at 1/2 the price
I stayed at the Snow King resort on my trips to ski at Jackson Hole. Small skiing resort (400 acres) but what it lacks in quantity is more than made up with quality in the form of challenging runs . Nearly half or more of them fall into that category and part of the mountain has night skiing. Easy access to town a big +
Great place to come and ski and kick it
Stayed there Sept. 9th - 13th - Way too expensive! Our room was not good and the bathroom was horrible. Missed a wake up call one day, which created problems. Service terrible! The dining room was the only good exception. I would not recommend this hotel.
Great fun at Snow King. I was in Torch Light Parade on New Years Eve. Lots of fun! Ill do it next year. But next time Ill wear old skiwear. The roads flairs will burn a hole in your gloves or jacket if youre not careful.Kudos.
Best resort on the planet!! #WonderfulWyoming #GodsCountry
I visited this resort on the last day of my spring break trip. The snow was okay, just a little more icy than main Jackson hole resort. It was really empty when I went, but I highly recommend this resort for beginners to either skiers or snowboarders for that reason. The double black diamond runs were very up to par with other resorts I have visited for those that are experts.
Great place to stay at Good Skiing.
Just got back from vacation in Jackson. We had an absolutely incredible experience. Service was fantastic, food was delicious, and the views are amazing. The coaster is so much fun -- our group rode it many times. The Tree Top adventure is also very thrilling and quite the experience (in a great way!). I dont have any complaints, loved every single thing about it.
Lots to do and see in the area. Bus, that is free, comes right to resort and takes you to downtown Jackson. Skiing is right on the mountain by the resort. Food is decent and meets the same standard as everywhere else in town. Just more of a pricetag for similar foodstuffs.
Beautiful, clean and peaceful.
Snow tubing is a must when visiting Jackson Hole! Dont worry about climbing to the top, they have a people mover. Just stand and up you go! All ages can enjoy this.
