We stayed here for four nights and had a great stay. My family loved the pool and hot tubs. We spent hours there. The breakfast was good and the hot chocolate varieties were a hit with my family. The cookies, served after 5 pm, were individually wrapped and delicious. Our room was nice, clean, and quiet. (Note: make sure to put Elk Country and not just Elk into your GPS or you might be sent to the Elks Lodge a few blocks away ;)
We stayed in The grand queen room which is in the newly remodeled building. It looked very nice, the mini fridge also has a small freezer Which was great for keeping the ice packs we brought for our cooler frozen. Of course being brand new everything was extremely clean. We were on the third floor, it was very quiet and the beds and pillows were probably the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on in a hotel. The mattresses were a little on the softer side which is great for not making pressure points, especially if you are a little sore from hiking all day long in the park. The new remodeled pool and spa was beautiful, in the hot tub was actually hot instead of bathwater warm like some. Breakfast considering Covid was extremely decent, everything prepackaged but a variety,Fruit, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, coffee and tea, and some breakfast burritos and prepackaged Belgian waffle which after 30 seconds in the microwave were quite good! There are many entrances and exits so you did not have to walk through the lobby unless you wanted to take the elevator instead of the stairs. The staff were great, when I called to book the hotel I had requested a higher floor room and they delivered! I think the only very slight negative was the air-conditioning unit was a bit loud, but turned it down to low setting (controls are on the wall) and it was tolerable. The hotel is on a quieter street with nice views of snow king ski resort. It is a few blocks walk from downtown which was actually nice to get away from the crowds. We were debating a winter trip to do some skiing, and the hotel was so nice We booked our return trip before we left. Very Good quality for the price.
This place was pretty nice. Very clean, which is very important for my wife and little kids. Obviously this is Jackson Hole, a tourist trap, and because of that the prices were sky high, over $300 for one night, a weeknight, and overall the room cabin was tiny, I mean once we brought our luggage in for my wife and our three kids, there was practically no room in the floor to walk. There was a stove, microwave, dishwasher, and mini fridge and freezer, so they had all the bases covered, but it was all jammed in there. The couch fold out bed was not very good, in that even my 7 year old wasn’t able to sleep because of the metal springs poking her back, so she had to come sleep in the bed with us, so because of that and the size and price, I’m giving it a 4 star, but it was CLEAN and it suited our needs on short notice. Definitely happy about that. Also the staff was very helpful. We arrived around 10:30pm and someone was parked in our assigned parking spot, with no other spots in the lot, and after alerting the staff, they found the offending party, which moved their car at 11pm and we were able to unload our stuff literally right at the steps, 5 feet from our door. That was very nice.We are certainly used to larger hotels with all our kids, but this one was clean and suited our needs. With a better price and fold out bed, it might have been a 5 star stay. Regardless, it’s a viable choice.
The Elk Country Inn cabins were perhaps my favorite accommodation of all time. There was coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and filtered water available at all times. The location was perfectly walkable to delicious restaurants and shops. We had a very quick drive to the National Park. Our dog felt right a home in the cabin, too. The WiFi service was extremely reliable for working remotely. I will be back next summer again - thank you!
We rented one of the cabins here. It instantly became one of the favorite places we’ve ever stayed. The cabin was a little small, but it was cozy, and it was nice to have our own little space with our car just outside the door. The community of Jackson Hole in general is amazing and we can’t wait to visit again. With Grand Teton and Yellowstone along with plenty of other Rocky Mountain destinations, you’ll never run out of stuff to do here.Back to the cabin at Elk Country Inn: It was warm, clean, and came with comfortable beds. Microwave, fridge, and other basic conveniences were also inside. Everything is pretty modern and the staff is friendly. It was also surprisingly quiet. The cabins are fairly close together, so we were a little worried about sound easily carrying from other cabins into ours or vice versa, but it wasn’t an issue at all—and yes, we DID have neighbors. If you choose to stay here, I don’t think you’ll regret it.
Negative: Itâ€s a little further from the downtown than I wanted.
Positive: The loft bedroom was great for the kids Negative: High price, stiff beds.
Riley and one other gentleman at the front desk are THE most accommodating and hospitable hosts. They went out of their way and helped provide surprise accommodations for guests staying there who were getting engaged while out on a hike. Riley personally picked up celebratory champagne from a store while on the phone with me across the country and wrote a hand written note. He even placed it in an ice bucket! The ease and helpfulness were above and beyond anything I’ve ever seen. The Elk Country in is lucky to have such amazing workers! Incredible experience over the phone. I will be staying with them next time I visit Jackson!
Positive: The hotel was fairly quiet for the number of units and cabins surrounding it. Negative: The rate was too expensive for the quality and location.
We were looking to spend a night at a nice place near the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone and came across this hotel. It was not the least expensive but not in the top range either, so consider that. Overall the location was decent although when we arrived at night people had trouble finding parking spots. The hotel is actually not one, but two (maybe three) buildings that are not connected. So if you arrive and start unloading your car next to the main building - hold off! They may give you a room in a different building. What also adds confusion is the numbering of the rooms. Like 4217 is not on the fourth or forty second floor. It’s on the second. The main building clearly was newly built or recently renovated and looked nice. Our building looked very dated and probably hasn’t seen updates since the 90’s. No elevator either. Inside the room, the amount of space was decent and it was pretty clean. Overall, I’d say I expected more for the money and it was on the level of a cheap motel.
This hotel was great. It was clean, had nice sized rooms and the staff was sweet and helpful. One of the staff members who was clearly done and leaving her shift even took the time to give recommendations of places to eat in the area. There was fresh baked cookies offered to the guests and there was cute little cabins that could be rented out as well. Unfortunately I did not stay in a cabin however the hotel was still very nice.
We had a last minute change of plans, and they were able to get our family of 5 into one of the cabins. Very clean, convenient location, and the price was better than anything else we could find. The kitchenette was a bonus, so that we could cook our own breakfast. Thank you!
Nate was amazing and he booked us a last minute room. We are very thankful for that. Sadly the breakfast is cold and ask you to warm it up in your room. We understand the social distancing approach, but this method is just unrealistic when they only provide a 5 inch plate.
We had a great experience! We were in room 4223 it was a king sized room clean and quiet. Josh at the front desk went above and beyond to help us with local places to have dinner. We really enjoyed our stay would highly recommend!
Awesome location near the Jackson Town Sq. Rooms were very clean and nice. Great customer service with a nice touch of breakfast and cookies in the evening. There is some construction going on but we had no bothers (we stayed in a 2 queen room, I think they call it a settler room.) Overall enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone. If we ever go back, we would for sure try to stay here again.
This place...for it to be the grand opening wellllllll...upon check-in the night person was accepting a $200.00 cash tip for fixing a mess up on another room. We were given the handicap room and it smelled terribly. Old dated furniture and bedding..well, it was so rough I am still recovering from a rash that developed from sleeping on the sheets. If you want to stay in the dark then this is the place for you. We had to have all lights on to see inside the room. It snowed and was froze over while we were there. I questioned the front desk why they didnt put down salt or scrape the sidewalks and was informed they dont do that until November 1. I stated that there were elderly couples there and the danger it poses...his reponse a shoulder shrug!!! If you dont care about your guest then you have a MAJOR problem. The only good thing...they recycle their old towels and rags asking guest to use those to clean off their boots/makeup etc... I do wish more hotels would follow suit.
By far the WORST hotel we stayed in (we stayed in 8 hotels over the course of 11 days). Major paving construction going on right outside our cabin door. Had to park a block away in the Staples parking lot. Tried to take a nap after a long travel day and there was constant construction noise right outside our window. My husband called the front desk and they said the construction would be done by 5. At 8pm they were still working outside our window. My husband called again to say they really should not be renting these rooms during the construction. They offered a discount to make it better... $20. They took $20 off of our room. Never again.
The three-bed family loft that I rented was wonderful. No complaints on the room or location of the Inn.I only have two complaints with our stay. The first being that I called ahead to make a reservation and was on hold for nearly twenty minutes. And no, that’s not an exaggeration. The woman that I was speaking with wanted to help the guests in front of her rather than taking three minutes to finish the reservation. The other complaint is that, during our stay in mid-June, the Inn failed to inform me that they would be under construction. We were woken up by a table saw cutting at seven in the morning.I understand that the Inn still needs to operate during construction, but they should’ve mentioned it so that we could’ve went to bed earlier or at least been prepared to wake up at seven.Again, the room was wonderful, but the staff could use a reminder on phone etiquette and remember to inform their guests of important details that could disrupt their sleep.Genuinely would recommend staying here once construction is complete. Looks like the addition is going to be wonderful.
Good price. Clean fresh room. Good location. No pool on site but access 1 block down. They have small cabins too! Nice decor and we have a deck! Coffee pot in room. Microwave and small fridge with a freezer!
Any place that has coffee, hot water, and hot chocolate available all day, plus cookies at night gets an automatic 5 star review, staff was friendly and helpful
Staff is very friendly. love that they do not charge a dog fee. room was spotlessly clean. only downside is the construction currently happening in their parking lot. complimentary cookies and coffee/fruit in morning is a nice plus! good location for walking around town.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They seemed to be making some very nice upgrades.
Staff was awesome, cookies great, and the cabin was a nice place to stay! We appreciate how easy they were to work with, I forgot my card and locked myself out.. they were so nice about it!
This hotel was excellent! Our room was warm and cozy and the pillows were very comfortable. It had everything we needed for a comfortable skiing weekend at the resort. We were walking distance from hot tubs, cute shops and lots of restaurants. we loved getting the free hot chocolate at the front desk and then walking along main Street. Without the hot chocolate we would have been so cold! check in and check out was very easy and smooth. Someone in our party even left their suitcase at the resort on accident and the front desk called them immediately! Very helpful. They have lots of different types of rooms and amenities and I think next year when we come again we might stay in a different room just to explore. They are doing renovations and I think adding a hot tub and jacuzzi to their resort which would be awesome for next year! We loved staying here and it was a very fun weekend.
Its a motel 6 MINUS 3. The rooms are 4050 years old not been updated. They recently spent a ton of money on a new lobby but nobody sleeps there, so @ stay charge its highway robbery.Avoid at all cost
We were very happy with this place when we first went to check in there was a basket of freshly baked cookies for their guests, the reception was very friendly the rooms were clean and I loved the fact that they had little rag towels with a cute little saying for people to use to clean the cars or take their makeup off.
Excellent service from the front desk staff, all very attentive. The rooms were super clean! Overall we will be back. Thank you
Great location! The rooms were way more spacious then I thought it would be. Great for the price.
Nice staff. Nice location. Comfortable beds.
Friendly staff and the room was large and comfy. Highly rated by our kids.
The older part is nice and well kept and the new part thats still under construction looks great!
The staff was very friendly!! The Inn was clean, they are expanding so there is construction going on that starts at about 7am, so as long as you are prepared it is a nice place to stay!! Very centrally located!!
Construction at the hotel was obtrusive and noisy beginning at 7am daily. We asked for a room away from construction but insteD got a room directly over the construction! Construction means no parking lot. Hunt for street parking. Covid means no breakfast, no hot tub, no workout room, maid service only if requested. No amenities. Bad value. Would not recommend
Construction starting before 7am so loud no warning when we booked the room. No where to park your car except in the construction area. Worst place Ive ever stayed. Definitely will not come back and stay here.
Construction noises veeery earlyWe booked thru hotel.com but we also called the hotel by phone to check a few things and no one mentioned construction. You come here to relax and they wake you up with trucks and noises very early also forget eating out on the cute tables there will be dust everywhere.Other than that cabina are clean and pretty the kitchen is well equipped but I would wait until they finish construction to come back here. We were gonna stay an extra day here but we are going to change hotels instead.
We stayed in one of the little cabins. The cabins are right in the middle of town and each cabin is only separated by about 4 feet. Our row of cabins had a front porch with flower baskets, a picknick table and benches, and a chair. We had two adults and 4 kids so we rented the model with a kitchenette, two queen beds in the back bedroom, and a queen sized pull out couch in the living room/ kitchenette area (right by the front door if that matters to you.). The cabin had its own bathroom with tub/shower, toilet and sink. When we pulled up we initially thought oh man what a rip off, (because they were in town and so close to each other) but then we went in they were ok and the location was handy. We couldnt hear the neighbors and the cabin was better than your typical standard mid sized hotel room with kitchenette. Not five stars but was clean and beds were comfortable. Once inside we felt like we were in our own little space. The kids thought it was absolutely awesome and wanted to stay forever. They were redoing the parking lot (June 2020) and wanted us to park on the street which made me nervous about our gear on top of the car. It was a temporary nuisance but it turned out ok. It was just about $200/ night and I would go back at that price.Kitchenette included a small table and two chairs, a mini safe, 2 burner stove, large microwave, small dishwasher, mini- fridge (gallon of milk went in sideways) with a freezer (big enough for a box or maybe two of ice cream), a cupboard with a medium size frying pan and pot, a medium serving bowl, 6 each plates, mugs, bowls, some silverware, a serving spoon and rubber spatula. Dish soap and dishwasher soap, and wash towels. I felt It was well planned and stocked with the necessities. Thank you for a lovely stay. Hope to stay there again.
I was expecting just a hotel and was pleasantly surprised. Our little suite had a bedroom with a king bed, a livingroom with full kitchen combo stocked with silverware, pots, pans, glasses, etc. A full stove, refrigerator and even a small dishwasher. Super nice and super clean. We will definitely be back!
Good spot to stay in Jackson. Stayed in a hotel room with 2bds the first night for $118/night. Unfortunately it was really noisy with the sound coming from people walking around upstairs, trash collection outside the window, and water flushing through pipes in the walls. On night 2, we payed $156 to move to one of their cabins, and it was so worth it. Full kitchen with fridge, stove, and microwave; chill living room area with pull out couch and dinner table; nice updated bathroom; and comfortable beds. I will totally stay here again whenever I come back to Jackson.
Our first time to Jackson. We highly recommend this Inn! We had a great stay and will come back again!
It was a nice place, the beds were comfortable, and the hotel is close to pretty much everything, the only downside was the water smells disgusting, idk if it all of Wyomings water or something but I tried to get passed it and shower anyways and it made my hair smell like the water
Great accommodations and a short shuttle ride to the mountain! It’s close to Main Street and makes for a short walk! 4 stars due to the hot tub inconvenience, but upgrading a whole lot here soon it seems! Awesome place!
The cabin was spotless and we had plenty of extras....towels, toiletries etc. they even made a cute little fort for my son’s stuffed animals out of pillows. The new addition they are building is going to be beautiful. Very convenient location to everything. Will absolutely stay again!
Great accommodations, came with a sink, microwave and excellent mini fridge. Was very clean, had complimentary coffee and hot chocolate as well as cookies in the afternoon.
Great place to stay. We always request one of the cabins they have. Fully equipped, sitting room, small kitchen with everything you need to prepare a meal, patio outside front, comfortable bed. On this stay we noted that they were doing some extensive remodeling to add more rooms and change the pool and laundry area. Within walking distance of downtown Jackson.
Nice hotel, fairly large rooms
To be honest, we picked this because of the price. Jackson is expensive but I read reviews and it seemed great. On the positive: they texted a super nice message of welcome the day before we arrived and we found service to be friendly from start to finish. And the location is great! On the negative, the floors creak like no tomorrow. We heard the party upstairs arrive and everywhere they walked and every time they got in and out of bed, or ran water, the entire night. We were on the first floor and our floors also creaked so loudly! Its an older inn and I wouldnt mention it except they have a massive expensive expansion there in the parking lot and they clearly need to spend on the existing hotel. They were making a big deal about a conference area and pool or whatever while the neglect was glaring.
Very small bathrooms. Not good for a family.
Very nice quiet rooms and great location. The Inn is within walking distance of all the downtown area and the staff are friendly. I will choose to stay here every time.
Staff was very nice and super helpful. The rooms were super clean and spacious. Definitely would come again.
One of the nicest places we have stayed. The rooms are spacious and well organized. The bathrooms are so well insulated we never heard anyone else in the hotel the whole time. Even though they were fully booked.
Beautiful facilities in a divine setting of nature!
The staff at the front desk was rude and not helpful. We asked the normal question like breakfast time and she takes to us like we were stupid. We stay at a lot of hotels and it’s usually a toss up between holiday in. Express and country inn and we will definitely be staying at the holiday inn express from now on
Hotel was really nice. Complementary cookies, coffee, water and hot chocolate in the lobby. Beds were comfortable and the free WiFi was pretty good. Good shower. Smaller hot tub on site and a bigger one just nearby. Really good location right near down town, well within walking distance of the square.
The room was decent and clean, however, our keys wouldnt work the entire stay, was very annoying to have to walk to the front desk each time.
Dog friendly place, we got to stay while a bunch of police K9s were in town from all over. Nice rustic decor rooms, but a little older. Parking lot was going through some construction and a building was as well so parking was a little tight. Great location, you can walk to anywhere in Jackson in about 20 mins from the hotel. No breakfast served so plan accordingly, but you can walk to D.O.G. just about 2 streets over to get hearty breakfast burritos.
Clean, cute nice sized rooms.
Really nice staff, great location, fair price, shuttle to the airport, nice comfortable room!
Enjoyed the stay! Definitely has an older feel to it. The property is under construction right now. Everyone there would say hello and was very nice!
Worked perfectly for our situation. Nice hotel for one night and it was dog friendly without extra charge. Will use again if traveling through.
Great cabins. We arrived very late and everything was easy to settle our little kids they went right to sleep. It was so nice to wake up to a playground and hot chocolate, coffee, or tea in the lobby as well of fruit. I loved the picnic table on the front porch. Very helpful staff, even with all of our requests. We will stay here again!
Enjoyed our two night stay here. Room was clean and cozy. Loved having two vanities as we had three ladies in one room. A roll-away bed was available for $10 so that was nice as well. No breakfast, but coffee was available. Close to the square, shopping, eateries.
A clean property with friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Convenient to downtown restaurants and shops and close to area activities.
Pleasantly surprised.Although this is an older hotel, its very clean and accommodating.Staff was great.
The staff could not have been more accommodating. The beds were comfortable and room was clean. We will definitely stay again.
Convenient to shopping and restaurants, this is just off the main highway and is an older inn. Nice, but not modern. We got a 2 bedroom suite with a separate upstairs bedroom, which would be perfect for a couple with 1 or 2 kids. Price was good. Then we moved to a cabin. These are cozy and comfortable, with 2 queen beds in a small bedroom, a full compact kitchen, a nice bathroom, and porch with chair and picnic table. The kitchen have a fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher (!), Coffeemaker, utensils, etc. I recommend this place.
Very good location, price and cabin. It has a good hot tub which is nice. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Thank you!
Attn: Tesla and EV drivers. There are wall outlets for 110 charging available to guests (ask front desk). Couldnt be happier with my five day stay. Some high end hotel touches despite inexpensive rates. Pet friendly, recycling friendly, free shuttles to and from Jackson Hole.
We stayed here after we were stranded due to a cancelled flight. This is a nice hotel for the cost, the rooms are clean and comfortable, there is laundry and a fitness center. They also serve fresh baked cookies, nice touch!
Clean, quiet, comfortable place with friendly staff. Kids loved the free cookies at 5 and hot chocolate all day.
Such a cute place. The cabin is so nice for our family of 4. We love the western look. Good space, very clean and fresh fruit in the morning and cookies at night. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommend.
Comfortable room but nothing else. No breakfast just coffee. No ATM. Thankfully its close to a good restaurant.
We had a great stay at the Elk country Inn. We were quite late checking in, but the staff was friendly and very accommodating. I ended up chatting for half an hour with the manager the next morning, sharing stories and getting tips for the best food and things to see for the rest of my short stay. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I will definitely look for a room at Elk Country Inn the next time I am in Jackson.
Stayed two nights at the inn when flying in and out of Jackson on the way to Yellowstone and back. Very clean and comfortable room and well maintained property. Fresh baked cookies, infused water, organic coffee all day. Very comfortable beds and perfect pillows. Views of the Mountains and within walking distance of town. Would definitely recommend. They were more than accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay perfect.
Very comfortable, well-stocked room. Close to downtown, restaurants, shopping, etc. Nice selection of complimentary beverages in lobby. Fresh fruit for breakfast. Didnt use hot tub, laundry. Minimal updates for technology.
There is in the best location . Walking distance to town square. Room is clean and cute
Centrally located. Rooms are dated, but beds are very comfortable and room was clean. Staff is amazing. Friendly and accommodating. Plus they had warm cookies...yum! Price was understandable considering the area and it being high season. Would stay again.
The breakfast wasn’t really breakfast just coffees in the small lobby area they except dogs so woke up to kids running and dog barking above our room at 7 am. Otherwise room was spacious with fridge and microwave if you need it
Ok good everything ok no breakfast had to go somewhere else
Great value clean rooms and comfortable beds. Friendly, attentive and accommodating staff. Having hot chocolate machines everywhere is an added bonus..
I recommend this hotel while in Jackson Hole. Rooms were clean, spacious, well-maintained current design with views of the Grand Tetons.
Updating my review from 5 to 4 stars after my second stay. The rooms are still nice, big, cozy. The wifi is pretty excellent for hotel wifi. I pulled a consistent 40 mbps down/25 mbps up all week in the evening. The neighborhood is within walking distance to the town center, but far enough away that it is quiet. Staff is very polite. My only issue with the hotel is the west building is a trap. I would not stay on the 1st floor of the west building. The ceiling is quite thin. Every night sounded like the room above me was under construction. The hotel did contact the room above and the noise ceased for the rest of my stay.Im sure I will stay here again in the future, but I will make sure my room is not on the 1st floor of the west building. I’m happy with everything else about the hotel.
Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable. Local family owned and operated. Highly recommend.
Stayed in one of the log cabins. Very clean and cozy. Fantastic location to everything in Jackson Hole.
Great location Clean and comfortable rooms
Confortable, clean hotel with off-site pool and hot tub options. Minimal breakfast, but free hot cocoa, coffee, and tea at any time. Free shuttle to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and within walking distance to downtown Jackson. Would stay here again.
Comfortable, easy access to shops, restaurants. Clean and friendly service.
Accessible room was at the end of the hallway next to the handicap parking space
We needed a hotel late last night when we got into town! Booked with these guys and absolutely loved it!! We will definitely stay here again in the future. We have two small kids under 2 and the beds were so comfortable! Great great stay! You wont regret it. Shower was awesome as well!
Everyone was very friendly and helpful, the room was much larger than expected and well furnished. It was only about 4 blocks to the square at the center of town. An easy walk so we did not have to fight for parking. A good experience overall.
Very cute spot right in the heart of Jackson historic district, making the shops and sights very walkable, if youre dressed for the weather. Good rates here and rooms have a microwave and fridge, comfy beds as well. My only gripe is it is a no smoking facility but boy does it stink like smoke everywhere.
Simple mountain facade on the outside, cozy mountain appropriate functionality on the inside. Helpful staff (sorry about the 220am check in time), good location & great rates. Id definitely stay here again.
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in October. I usually only stay in large chain hotels, but tried this one as it had good reviews. The staff was very friendly upon arrival. The grounds were clean, and the cabin was very clean and well-stocked. We had plenty of room for our family in the cabin. The hotel is very close to the shopping in town. Would recommend, and stay in this hotel again.
My family recently stayed at the Inn. It was very nice and clean. Great location, highly recommended.
