Reasonably priced drinks and fast service. We got here before the crowds and enjoyed a quiet drink before a concert. On the way back later that evening there was a line out of the door. It definitely looked like the happening place!

What a great time with friends and amazing music from truely talented musicians. This bar offers a large open space and patio. The lower floor near the stage is a great place for a group of friends to get up close to the action and participate. The upper level offers plenty of bar seating and gathering places to rest your feet from hours of dancing. Had a blast!

Food was so appetizing. I think I might become a regular.

Every Howl at the Moon experience has been a good one! This trip and state was no exception. Musical talent was funny and personable and waitstaff were attentive and friendly. Always remember to pay for your comments to go on the boards, and dont shy away from a bucket.

4/5 ONLY because drinks were a bit expensive. They were however, DELICIOUS!!!! We had Jell-O shots, mixed drinks, shots, spritzers. SUCH A FUN experience, we really enjoyed our night. Entertainment was TOP NOTCH. Security made their presence known which made me feel safe, nothing got rowdy.

Awesome time for a Thursday night in Indy. Five dollar cover charge not hateful. Great service. Within walking distance ( or stumbling if tequila is involved) of most of the downtown hotels. Had a blast with the dueling piano music. Will definitely go back the next time we are in town

One of my favorite bar experiences ever. The energy in here was amazing! The staff here was great as well, fast and delicious drinks. S/o to the bartender, Jordan, who was there most of the times me and my friend went back to the bar. She made the best drinks and was really sweet already planning to go back!!

I scheduled a bachelorette party for this weekend and was informed two weeks ago that they would not be open due to Covid. I was given the option to either cancel my reservation and get a refund or reschedule. I requested a refund and was told the money would be back in my account in 5-7 days. I waited 5-7 business days and still nothing. After emailing 3 different times and leaving 2 messages on Friday, I was told that everyone else’s refund besides mine went through and they would check into it on Monday when back in office. So I waited the weekend. I received an email Monday stating they figured it out and I should see it by Thursday. Today is Thursday and I still don’t have the refund. I emailed and called, when I got a response I was told that they could cancel the refund and write me a check that I could pick up at their Chicago corporate office or they could mail it to me. At this point the bachelorette party is in 2 days and I still have no refund. I am appalled that they wanted me to drive to them, and they are still making this difficult on me, the customer who has done nothing wrong in this situation. The final email I received told me I needed to be patient. As if I had not already been patient the last 2 weeks I’ve been waiting on my money. I am highly disappointed with the service I have received and the hoops I have had to jump through to get my money back and I still don’t even have it. I do not recommend this bar to anyone.

Piano bar with a more upbeat vibe than some. Well managed and the service was good. Get here early if you want a place to sit. It is very popular.

They call this a piano bar but theres a while bands full of instruments. Fascinating to watch the musicians each play all them from piano to drums to guitars. Very festive, very loud, lots of sweet, fruity cocktails to choose from. Great for people-watching.

Giving this a 5 STAR because we had such a good time and would go back! Only thing is I paid $125 for the birthday package so we could have a table. We got there around 7:30 pm, and the place was pretty empty. I could have saved myself $125 and got there at 7:30 pm and had a seat. Highly recommend if your going earlier than 9, not to book the package. It is a waste of money!!! But still we had a great time! Will keep that in mind next time we go

We had a good time on a Thursday night. The dueling pianos were really good, all 4 artists were very talented. We ordered a 86 oz drink for the two of us and it was tasty but not strong enough, especially for the price

My first time at Howl at the Moon and I had a great time. Great atmosphere and the entertainment was exceptional. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. You can bring food into the bar from other places because they dont serve food. Cannot wait to go back.

The staff at this bar are extremely rude and disrespectful to their customers. When we expressed our concerns the manager was rude and not helpful. They also have “bouncers” that I believe are 16 years old. Get over yourselves. The table was extremely expensive as were the drinks and the music was not even that good. There are better places in Indy to be than at Howl at the Moon. please do not waste your time or money on this place. I promise you will be disappointed.

Can’t seem to give their customers their money back for reservations made during the corona. Sad that a company will take your money but take 4 weeks to give your money back when we were told 7 days. Will not be spending money on any future events here.

Used to be a great place to go. Very Talented performers but everything is scripted. Looks like a set list and not requests or playing off the cuff. Not as enjoyable. Not a just piano bar anymore....thats what made it successful. We were disappointed when we left

Although the time there was spent well and I had fun there are some improvements that can be made. Prices for drinks were pretty steep not to mention the entry fee was an arm and a leg but for unique drinks and live music I guess you could call it fare. That being said the music could be turned down a smidge. Dont get me wrong I like loud crazy music as much as the next person but there is a thin line between hyped music and blaring music. But thats just my opinion. Over all a good place to go but not for everyone.

I got to tell you I went here one night probably in 2018 in the December to meet someone and this place was on fire they had live music they had people dancing it was nice there was drinks on special. This is the place to go if you have friends or a girlfriend bring him here this is a really cozy spot to be at really good people it was friendly.

Atmosphere was fantastic until about 10 pm when another package group was let in. Place got extremely over crowded, our table we paid a lot of money for was right by the entrance. It became over run with people walking, we were unable to use our seats anymore, were getting constantly bumped into, stepped on, and drinks spilled on us.

Used to be one of my favorite places to go, but they have gotten away from what put them as a prime place in the beginning.They used to be 2 people at pianos bantering back and forth while playing and interacting with the crowd. They have evolved and included drums, guitars, and lead singers.They still have some of the interactions, but appear to be more of a cover band with interchangeable parts.They still perform well and create a fun atmosphere, just not as what I was used to. I would still encourage others to give a try and see.

I had so much fun at this bar last night! The dueling piano players have great voices and they made extra efforts to pump up the crowd and get us engaged. The drinks had a good value. Great venue for a night out with good dance music. Highly recommend.

Fun time! Love the live music. I always get the same waitress and shes sorta snappy. LOVE the free buffet. Super loud. Not a place for small talk because its sooo loud. Small dance floor but people still do it.

Had a wonderful time listening to excellent live music. Amazing musicians playing all the favorites. A very busy place, get there early for a good seat. They do offer table service which is a bonus so you dont have to make your way to the crowded bar.

Had such a wonderful time here!!! I am visiting from out of town and have never been before, the live band was amazing, was playing some of the best music! The bar tenders where so attentive and keen. Shelby was helping me for most of the night she have such great service to me and my friends, she deserves to be there! She kept a clean bar and was so kind. Page helped me when it was time for Shelby to go home. If I am ever back here, I will definitely be stopping by again!

Recently I went to Howl At the Moon with a group of friends. We were shocked to find out cover was $10 per person! After paying two covers we decided we were going to try another bar. We asked for our money back and the person at the door refused to refund us! We asked for a manager and he also refused, and then asked us to leave because we were being impolite to his staff (which never happened). I will never be considering Howl at the Moon when going out in Indy again.

I say NO STAR for this place! (It wouldnt take the review without at least one star) We had a large group and 1 person from our group (female) was told they needed to take their shirt off or leave, just because the shirt had a political name on it, and some so called people (whiners) didnt like it and said they were offended!! WTH??!!! We spent ALOT of money in there in a short amount of time and then told to leave because of that??!! That is TOTALLY CRAZY!!!

Definitely for the young at heart. It is thee happening place in every City its in, but so happening that its standing or dancing room only most of the time.

This is the most positive bar downtown indy. Everyone comes to have a great time sing along smile and have fun. Fridays happy hour food buffet is so delicious. Been going here for years. Awesome place if your even in indy check it out! The musicians are awesome they can play any song you request with live instruments. They also keep th he womans restroom line down and clean which if you have been to bars theres normally a line and a mess. Check it out you wo t regret it! Great place to host events and parties for sure!

My son won a happy hour party. I think this is a promotional thing to get traffic in the place. The entertainment was decent. There are very talented performers there. If you have so many people in your party you get a bucket drink. Tried some and it was ok. Not sure which flavor he chose.The happy hour says there is food while supplies last. It consisted of potato salad, nacho chips with some beans and meat and toppings that were sparse and not the freshest looking, and some sweets - cookies, brownie cubes, and eclairs that had been cut up. So random - like a dude had cleaned out his refrigerator. If you advertise food - have a decent offering.The free drink you have about 5 things to choose from. Make sure to give your token before you order. My daughter got a well whiskey. But the free one is an even lesser version than well I guess because the bartender poured it out after she presented the token. I think as a business you lose more $ pouring something out than just serving it.Decor is not pleasant. Place is run down.I got a text saying I won a free happy hour party a week later. So did my husband. I wont be taking them up on that offer.

This is one of the best bars I have ever been to. The talented performers have NEVER let me down and always bring the crowd to their feet. It is a pretty pricey bar, but honestly I am not a big drinker and just enjoy the show anyway. They take requests and any partys you throw there are sure to be great. The waitress/bartenders are incredible, too. If you have time please see the show!

Our drinks were delicious but the atmosphere wasnt what we were looking for. I was out with my friend for her 21st and this place seemed to have an older crowd but otherwise it wasnt too bad.

Great place to celebrate or just have a fun evening out. This is my second time celebrating 21st birthdays with my nieces! SO much fun. Booking was so easy and smooth. Both times the birthday guests were brought up on stage and recognized, which they loved! Drinks are fantastic, everyone who works there is so friendly and welcoming. They played great music you can sign along with and dance. I will most certainly return.

Music/Band was on point and the drinks were great. The bathroom for the girls was extremely gross though...we had no attendant like my boyfriend had and almost every stall was out of toilet paper.

Place was at capacity, no room left to exist, but they still took our groups 80 dollars in cover charges. We left minutes later feeling very cheated, walking past a line of people still getting funneled in.

Absolutely fabulous performance every time. Its the best experience in Indianapolis. We try to come as often as possible because it beats piped in music or even the occasional good live band experience. Must see live entertainment. Wait staff was funny and nice. I truly felt welcome and appreciated as a patron... I hardly feel that way anymore as a customer.

I’m not the kind of person that visits places like this anymore, but my coworkers organized a Holiday Party there and I decided to give it a try.I do not regret a bit!I liked the variety of drinks, but specially the music! Oh my! There’s a lot of talent there. The musicians rotate from singing to one or another instrument. They take requests from the guests and really know how to spread the enthusiasm even to not-a-party-person like me.

This is one of my favorite places! Proposed to my gf here on 11/24/18! Thanks again Ashleigh and the rest of the staff here for making this one of the best nights of our lives!

Nice setup. They have a fairly talented band that does a nice mix of dueling piano performances and more traditional live entertainment. The performers swap in and out, while moving between instruments. As with any piano bar, they like to engage the crowd and bring members of the audience up on stage during the performance.

Fun place to have a few drinks and watch the dialing pianos sing and play. They take requests for songs. If you come on a good night youll see some entertaining drunken wildlife dancing and singing to the music!!

My husband and I had so much fun at this bar! There was a good variety of drinks and the live music was so much fun!! The band was very interactive with the crowd and got almost the entire bar dancing. It was also so fun to just sit and watch the band- every band player knew every instrument; we were so amazed watching each player rotate so seemlessly between instruments and have so much fun doing so! It was VERY crowded when we arrived, but we still got our drinks very quickly making it easy to enjoy our time :)

I made a jump the line reservation 50 hours before I visited the location. I called the location over a dozen times, before 7pm & after 7pm to no avail. I never received a confirmation. When I arrived, the host Chase informed me that I was not on the list. I asked for the manager & Shawn appeared & took care of me. I did not receive the gift cards that accompany a reservation but he secured me a table. My server Taylor ignored me the ENTIRE night. I had to force her to serve me which she did only once. I waited over 1 hour & 20 minutes after my 1st drink order & she promised to return to me after she served other tables but never returned. So I went to the bar where Chris the bartender made up for Taylors mistakes. He made me two very strong drinks which saved my night. Thx host Chase, manager Shawn, & bartender Chris. Taylor almost ruined my nite.

This place is a lot of fun. Those kids on stage really do a great job at reading and entertaining the crowd. The perks you get with reserving tables are unbeatable. We had a bachelor party of 9 people, and the groom couldn’t have had a better time. He loved getting pulled up on stage! Thanks to the Howl staff. Especially our server, Angie, who was fantastic.

Great atmosphere, loved the music. Service took a while but we were here the weekend of the NFL draft and it was slammed. Great time and will go back!

I cant stress enough how disgusting and awful this place is. The band was terrible and had no charisma. The house drinks are sugary, weak, and way overpriced. The beer is not nearly warm enough, and the bar is consistently sticky. Cover fees? Come on. I leave 2 stars only because I think it is expected that a place like this would be so disgusting and pricey.

Good crowd but the performances and interactions (of lack thereof) just werent as good as our experiences at other Howl venues (Chicago, Houston, Louisville, St. Louis).

Different Bartenders pour drinks totally differently. Completely different levels of alcohol. When saying something to our server, she did nothing but shrug her shoulders. Never even tried to resolve it for us.

Good atmosphere, great live music and impressive musicians.Definately recommend a visit, even if your not in Indianapolis long, its worth it.
