This was the perfect venue for our small wedding (60 guests). We appreciated the incredible customer service, beautiful and historic location, adaptable venue in the carriage house-style Visitor Center, and we even got to make use of the patio and lawn for our guests. The location, in walking distance of the Mass Ave. shopping and entertainment district, is also a plus.
Really neat house. Check the walls closely that is NOT wallpaper! Unbelievable workmanship.
Very pristine Victorian mansion. Guide was excellent. Beautiful grounds .Definitely worth 4$ admission
The best Victorian period furnishings and tour guides were very knowledgeable. I will definitely be back !

The house was beautiful and the writing workshop with Professor Watermelon was great!
Well kept home with many period furnishings. Interesting insights into life of Riley and family.
Such a lovely house to visit lots of Indiana history.
Great looking house, you can almost feel like your in the late 1800s or early 1900s. Very impressive that all but a few household items are original.
The James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home, one of two homes known as the James Whitcomb Riley House on the National Register of Historic Places, is a historic building in the Lockerbie Square Historic District of Indianapolis, Indiana at 528 Lockerbie Street. It was named a National Historic Landmark in 1962.
Extraordinary old house museum which remains exactly as it was in 1916 shortly after Riley died with all the original furniture except the kitchen stove. Admission $4
Beautiful and fancy house, James whitcomb Riley is my favorite poet and I’m a big fan of Riley!
If youve got done time, stop by and learn! This house is setup nearly as it was (with original furniture) as when James Whitcomb Reilly lived here. Great tour guides as well!
