Too much dog poo laying around. Free bags are provided and seems like no one uses them. Pets can contract some kind of disease or bring something back to the house or in your car. Nasty!
This is a great little pet-friendly park in Huntsville. It’s not as grand as Big Spring Park, but it offers a really nice walking path with benches, pavilions, and two lovely ponds. The paths are very easy for walking and would easily accommodate someone of limited mobility. Several people were fishing and enjoying the shade offered by the pavilions. There are beautiful Mountain View’s and across the street is the greenway path, making for a nice excursion. You’ll enjoy watching ducks, geese, and turtles through the park. There is also a convenient, free parking lot, which is always nice. I definitely recommend this park.
Beautiful park. Clean, open, lots of benches. Pavilions are in good working order and clean. Walkways are in good repair.
Clean, quiet break. I enjoy walking dog here. Plenty of opportunities for him to sniff. Never crowded. Two lakes with nice path around so you can mix it up with figure eight shape. Can extend with paths at both ends. Adjacent Small Creek or drainage has beach but be careful of some barbed wire in small sections. Plenty of parking in the lot or in neighborhood. Not sure how it will change once all the houses are built.
Nice place to get outside and walk. ITs paved and a beautiful little walk aroung a well kept pond.
Great place to take Honey for a walk.
Great place to walk and take kids, if its not too hot.
Lovely place for a walk w your sweetie!
Great place to walk, jog, picnic, fish, and spend time with your kids. Water probably needs to be dredged from all the plant life.
Nice quiet place to walk or have a picnic.
Beautiful, but it shouldnt be considered a trail. It’s too short! Only 0.8 miles, but it shows as a trail in traiLink. On the other hand, walking around the open space, park, Lake, scenery, and wild ducks was refreshing. We walked around the lake 3 times, which was 4 miles. Good when you are in a hurry and dont want to drive far to exercise.
Great place to relax and walk. Nearby to everything downtown Huntsville. Must visit when youre in Huntsville. Take a loaf of bread and watch all the different species of fish you attract while feeding!
A lovely place to take a walk, especially the section to the south of Four Mile Post Road. Quiet, secluded. The paved walkway is much cleaner than it was the last time I was here, which was several years ago. The reason for the several years gap in my walking here was--the condition of the walkway. Very glad to see it better maintained...
It was very pretty outside, my daughter took her 3month old dog 4 a walk!!!
A great walking trail. It could use a park for the children but still a nice place to spend family time.
Really nice park and fishing
Nice scenic walk. Concrete walk path. Ponds. Well maintained. Covered picnic tables. I walk my best buddy, Max the somewhat naughty German Shepherd, there. Would be nice to have animal waste bags available because some folks dont care about public health/hygiene, which is part of the governments responsibility (ironically).
Great little walking trail. I like that its paved. Its perfect when the weather is yucky or nice out!
Need more picnic benches under shade
Very nice place to stop and eat or walk the walking trail. Theres also a nice pond for some potential fishing. Overall a nice little place. NICE!
Beautiful park. Would be better if the area where people can eat is cleaner and free of wasp nests.
Fun park for walking yourself and your dog. Ponds are fun to fish, lots of largemouth bass to catch in the ponds and creeks. Not well lit after dark.
Clean. Good place to take a short walk. Well maintained.
Beautiful walking trail around gorgeous pond. Dog friendly! Maze and I had a blast!
Beautiful place to walk
Good fishing in the two ponds for bass and bream, nice running and walking track, and there are always plenty of dogs being walked. The park is always clean and rarely crowded. Lots of ducks and turtles in both ponds.
Very clean. Good without so many duckswho have been known to make deposits on the walkways.
Has always been a nice place to go and enjoy the day.
Very much enjoy walking the park with the dogs.
Great place to enjoy the outdoors and nature. Well maintained.
Lots of places to eat nearby so great when you dont want to be stuck inside
Beautiful, peaceful place to visit.
Nice walking, running track. Fishing allowed. Feed the ducks.
What a warm and welcoming public area! Its my favorite spot to relax after a stressful day at the car lot. If you come during the late spring, you can see baby ducklings! Also, bring your dogs.
Rollerblade here almost daily with my pup. Love it!
Quick quiet and safe walking space.
A little piece of heaven. God is so good
Nice place to sit on a bench and feed the ducks.Still a new park and has a weird atmosphere to it. Probably going to be great once the trees grow up a bit. For now, I wouldnt go when its hot out.
Been around here a long time. Have traveled across the Jones farm a many times.
Such a pretty park
A scenic little park with a calm lake. No night lighting tho.
Peaceful
Great little park, except that there are too many people who think its a no-leash dog park. LEASH LAWS APPLY TO YOU TOO. YES, EVEN YOU.
Nice walking trails but no restrooms at all.
Nice park for walking, jogging, picnics. Clean and pleasant.
Wonderful place to exercise and enjoy the view.
Outstanding place for your furry friends
I love this park! I walk around the lakes daily and enjoy watching the birds, geese, ducks and turtles!
Nice place relaxing and calm
Lovely place to walk your dog or have a picnic with your family.
Great place for a short run or walk
Nice place to take a walk.
Great place to run
Great place to walk - quiet & clean!
Very well maintained park.
Needs more lawn maintenance ! Should have signs posted for people who walk their dogs to keep them leased and pick up an dispose of their animals poop !!
Nice little park with ponds. Great for fishing with kids.
Great place for family outings or dog-walking. Fishing or duck-watching by the lakes, walking/biking/running/scootering on the surrounding greenways. Nice shady trees from which to hang hammocks. Fun walking across rocks in the creek. Roomy pavilions with large tables for picnics or birthday parties. We moms especially like that we can see kids from all points on the greenways around the lakes, so they can ride freely while we walk and talk!
Nice paved walking path. Many dogs, few leashes.
Did not go there
Great walking park.
A nice open place with fishing.
Beautiful, what else is there to say.
My girls walked, I went to the bank, and returned to pick them up . That is it.
Great park with nice facilities.
Great park
Very nice place
Peaceful
