We went for my nephews fifth birthday party. Him and his friends had a great time. Good prices and everyone was comfortable.

Nice, new playground with lots of space. Covered pavilion for parents and picnics. My kids enjoyed playing there.

Went for a basketball game. Didnt go to actual park area. The gym was fine.

Very well maintained field and facilities great seating, great lighting, great concession stands, and good location.

Horrible. In my opinion the employees were prejudice during my visit. Will not attend any more events at Optimist Park. Waste of time and sets a bad example for the youth.

Nice park. Ive been in 2 of the gyms. The one closer to oakwood (not the buddy Bryant gym) is the much nicer one! There is a nice playground behind it with lots of cool equipment for the kids to play on! Theres also a well kept baseball field with covered bleachers that help keep you shaded. I would definitely recommend this park to anyone unfamiliar with it!

Love to play with the kids at the park. Plenty of space to run and a sidewalk around the park allows parents to get a good walk in while keeping eyes on their children. Havent spent time inside the rec center yet.

Great recreational center for community events, community meetings, 2 large full size indoor basketball courts. Nice bathrooms cant ask for much better local community building ran by Huntsville Parks and Rec.

I love playing volleyball there. Great group of people there. Staff is great. Only complaint is that they keep it a little too warm in the gym.

Good place!!! I went there to see my grandsons basketball game. Very spacious.

We are members of a club that meets in the meeting room. The facility is easy to get to, has plenty of parking, and is generous with its facilities. There are gym facilities and changing rooms. There is a security guard.

Both gyms are pretty nice, but you cant take drinks into the gyms and have to go out into the lobby to get a drink. I understand what they are trying to do with the no drinks in gym rule, but you can only get a drink at halftime if youre playing which sucks.

I walked in for literally a second to get my basketball aired up. But the people at the front desk didnt even look me in the eye. They acted as if they didnt even care that I was there. But I got what I came for so I guess its not a 1 star rating.
