Nice staffers, have many options for staying active. Swimming pool, fitness classes in the morning in the gym, a library and also a splash pad for the hot summer days!

Pink Shellz hosted our first trunk or treat fall fest here in the parking lot. It was great seeing the costumes. Police was on site for safety. No issues at all. The center could use some upgrades inside. This building has been around for a while. The splash pad was a great addition for summertime fun!

I love the Richard Showers splash pad, we come here all the time. It is a great place for the kids to run around and have fun. It is clean, and the shaded picnic tables are near the gate so you can see the kiddos play if you want to sit and chat. I havent done too much inside, but it seems like a good facility.

This place serves our community with resources that are needed, for example a library that is fully utilized.

Very peaceful and clean...I go to trial to ride my bike or walk.

This facility is very clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly.My son takes swimming lessons with Shelby, she is amazing! We have been to other swimming schools and my son did not learn a thing! Shelby is very patient with children and the swimming classes here are small (5 children max) I highly recommend this place!

Splash Pad is an awesome place to enjoy water safely & do outside birthday parties

We always have fun at senior Bingo. And a good lunch. Every one is so nice.

The playground on the north side of the center is perfect for 2+ year old kids. There is also an outdoor gym right there for parents can do a workout while kids play!

A library and splash pad in one place, yes please! All the staff were super friendly, every thing was clean and well kept. My toddler loved the books and splash pad. Bring a picnic! Plenty of shade and seating.

What a fantastic day for my 3 year old grandson. The Splash Pad was super clean with shaded picnic tables, clean restrooms and very kind attendant watching out for the childrens safety. Perfection!

Best splashpad around! The gate opens up directly into the parking lot though and I have witnessed on several occasions supervised toddlers running quickly out into the parking lot, nearly getting struck by a car. My complaint is that when parents shut the gate most of the way, the employees come open it back up and say to keep it open so people can come in. I honestly dont believe it would deter people from entering the facility and it should be in everyones best interest to keep children safe.

Gym and the children matters and it was s basketball game and I enjoy watching the kids.

The pool was nice clean and warm! But The lifeguard was rude!! She didnt need to w9rk today! It put a damper on our trip! But the rest of the staff was so friendly and accommodating! So I gave them 5 stars... 1 rotten grumpy know it all shouldnt ruin the other staff!!

It has an indoor pool, weight room, basketball court, a LIBRARY AND DAYCARE and SO MUCH MORE!! GREAT idea Huntsville!!

We love the splash pad. Can get crowded some days, and there’s sometimes not enough seating if a birthday party is there.

They offer many many services as well as activities. Must visit community strong community built.

We visited the splash pad! High quality environment, great restrooms/locker rooms, and ample room for families to sit in the shade and enjoy a meal! Ill definitely be back!

Took a swi4 class there Jerry was the best teacher, I did not know how to swim at all Iearned in 10 days

Swimming ping pong Library classrooms a place to celebrate the family Richard S howers Center is a real nice Center forgot that added a thing or two the splash pad for the kids and they got the walking Track as well thats Richie Showers Center.

I go to the library there. The 2 ladies are very sweet.

We go to the splash pad, which was clean and fun. Great benches and shade. The crowds were normal, bathrooms were huge. Plenty of parking and it was hidden from view from the street. A beautiful addition to the community, I wish there were more community centers around town. Well go back this weekend, I think.

Always clean and functional. Usually a staff member present as well which is a nice touch. Daughter loves it there.

This place was so nice plenty of space and the pool was so nice just you couldn’t have floats or balls or anything in the pool but it’s so nice big splash pad

Kids had fun splashing around here! Fountains, dumping water buckets, small water slide, pool, bathrooms.

I enjoyed the outside track for jogging or walking... theres also baseball fields... Theres a weight room and a swimming pool inside... Theres an inside basketball court as well... Its a very nice center! Well kept inside and outside...

I had fun, I dont know much about the things I can do in the city just yet. However, a friend told me about this place and I think it might be one of my favorite spots while I live here.

Our family enjoys the splash pad. Its clean and always an employee on site to protect our kids.Just witnessed an employee testing the water. He said they test 6 times a dayHad a great picnic here today.

They have a Splash Pad for kids (provided by AL A & M University that is fantastic! Much nicer than others in the area (only.open til September 30)

I dont know about the rest of the center, but the splash pad is amazing! Big, with shaded play and rest areas. A slide and all variety of pop fountains, sprays, and Jerrys. My kids love it, and I love that I can see them anywhere in the splash pad from under the shaded pavilion.

This city recreational center offers a walking trail, softball fields, a nice-size gazebo, a daycare, and indoor swimming.

Place was clean and ready. The people there were kind and respectful and the prices were reasonable

The step aerobics program and, instructors of other areas at the Richard Showers Center, are some of the most wonderful, informative, kindhearted, and motivational people that I know. If this facility was not here I dont know how or when I would have gotten back on track with trying to become back healthy and fit.
