Never knew throwing an axe could be so much fun. The staff was great - giving us some tips and then leaving us to it and then helping us any time we asked. It was a great way to have fun with friends. Would definitely do it again!

We had an absolutely amazing time throwing axes!! We ended up getting the hour, and honestly for us that was plenty of time (we had 4 people). We went around 1830 on a Friday night, and for most of the time we were there, it was just us at the lanes, Bonus: it mad the experience more personal for us. I want to thank Arianna (our expert, full of energy, axe throwing coach). From the moment we walked it we felt welcome!! They do have a small bar, with some local beers, canned wines, and typical cokes and waters. I will most definitely come back.

My wife and I had a great time on a Friday night. Bre(sp?) and Alexis(sp?) were great coaches that help us get out technique down while keeping things fun and entertaining. We will definitely be back!!!

Went here for my 40th birthday with my husband and kids ages 23, 21, 18 and 13. This was our first time and we were not sure what to expect.Loved every minute of it. Had a great instructor who taught us some games to play once we got the hang of throwing.Its also in a great location next to the parking garage and plenty of restaurants.

Awesome place. We had a work get together here.The guy on staff was friendly, helpful and made the whole experience even more fun. Showing trick shots and making up little games and tournaments for us.Greta choice of drinks too.

Loved Bad Axe throwing! We tried to go to another axe throwing company in Huntsville that was booked up for the next 5 hours! We called Bad Axe and they got us booked and throwing within an hour for 6 people! Love the staff! They were so helpful for everyone in our group! It was a very roomy space and had options on axes to throw. Will definitely be returning! Price is great too!

One of the most fun experiences. Everyone needs to go at least once! Even if youre not great at it, they have folks there to help you out and give you tips for a successful throw!

I went once and enjoyed it quite a bit with my friend, he even thinks it may be worth driving back from Murfreesboro! I decided to take my dad and his friend here a couple weeks ago and the building was clean, the staff was friendly, and we all enjoyed ourselves. I hate my arm was injured and I couldnt throw with them that night. Ariana ended up being the Coach both times and she was fun to work with and even kept score on a game I had with my friend. Over all a great experience and I cant wait to go back

Staff, Colin, was very thorough with explaining the rules and safety measures. They gave a lot of initial instruction and helpful pointers throughout our experience. We had a great time and actually ended up doing pretty well after a few throws. We will def be back and are interested in league play. Had a beer, listed to great music, and threw some axes so win, win. Thanks again for an awesome experience.

Absolutely LOVED this place! Didn’t know I was good at throwing axes until I came here! They were very helpful with the starting process and Hub was a great teacher! I learned new tips and tricks to help later on, will definitely have to come back for round 2!

This was the first time my wife and I have ever done the axe throwing. The axe-structors were awesome showing us some pretty cool trick shots. We had a blast and will most definitely return.

So it has been a couple weeks since I came in, but I cannot forget about my experience. The atmosphere here is really neat with the small bar, mostly Irish music, and axes flying. I wasnt quite sure how I felt about axe throwing, but my coach Arianna showed me how it is done, and I got hooked. She helped get me through the beginning struggles, and with her help, I was able to stick an axe consistently. She gave lots of pointers, and was very friendly. I will definitely be back.

My fiance and I stumbled across this place while waiting for our dinner reservation. We had gone Axe throwing before, but the atmosphere here was just so fun. We had a really great time and would highly recommend it!

I got to throw genuine axes against a wooden target! What else could a person want? Bad Axe has a great rustic atmosphere that feels comfortable and exciting. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful as well. I will definitely return to throw again. *Protip: Bring along a printout photo of that person who is driving you insane at work, and voila -- cheap therapy.

This place was awesome! My wife and I had only thrown axes once before at a Ren Fair, but we did terrible there.We were on a day trip to Huntsville (visiting the US Space & Rocket Museum) and I had seen Rockaxe City Throwing Club on Facebook and another site as something to do in Huntsville. We thought it looked interesting and so we decided to stop by.Colin was our Axpert and he was super nice and helpful. After signing the waiver and paying the fee ($40 total for both of us for one lane for one our), we were shown to our lane. He demonstrated how to throw the axes, and helped us to find where to stand in relation to our throws (forwards or backwards depending on how the ax hit).After a few throws, he described some games we could play, and showed us the selection of other throwing items we could try. Smaller axes, larger axes, knives, throwing stars, etc, etc.My wife really enjoyed the throwing stars, and I settled on a heavier ax.Soon we were playing games and having lots of fun.When we arrived, we were barely able to stick one shot out of five or so. When we left, we were sticking almost every shot onto the board. Not always accurate, but we were getting them to stick!The only problem we had with this place was its too far away to come regularly! If we lived nearby, we would come here often!I would definitely recommend trying this place out!

Alright, so theres two axe throwing places in Huntsville, and Ive been to both. But Im reviewing this one because it is BY FAR the better one. The place is very organized and nice looking. Youll go wishing you had longer than an hour and more time with the ninja stars. Keep going back to see how you improve over time!

Super fun axe throwing with a nice selection of local crafts. Really enjoyed throwing the ninja stars although I wish we had more time to throw them, seems like they always come close to the end of the hour...could just be bad luck. At any rate, the ninja stars were my favorite part. Also enjoyed throwing medieval weapons in an old downtown Huntsville building, definitely added to the aesthetic of the whole place. For $20/hr, Ill be back soon.

Amazingly fun place to throw axes! Felt very secure there and the staff was under control the whole time. It’s good to get out of your comfort zone every now and again! The staff is very knowledgeable and wants to see you succeed. They did a great job teaching me how to properly throw all the different axe types. Great date place.

This was a very unique experience! We had our own personal guide to throwing and it was a lot of fun.

Fun way to spend some time and feel all rugged! Good instruction for beginners. We felt a little bit babysat, but there were three first-timers in our group and I dont begrudge them looking out for their equipment and their patrons. Ill definitely do this again the next time Im in town!

Why would you go anywhere else! This place is cheaper, better location, and has more spots than the competition. The staff is incredibly friendly. I checked out the place at campus 805 and hands down this is the winner. The staff teaches you games while you play. It’s BYOB!

Went to Bad Ax Throwing last night after calling to check availability. Was told the wait was 32 min. So walked around downtown for 30 min. Went back and was told by receptionist that she double booked and we couldnt get in after driving from Arab

Staff was amazing and fun. Our instructor Davidson was very fun and helpful. I think that he made our group experience and has us planning our next trip there. The targets and lanes were great. The chairs and tables were pretty wobbly which made us a little worried that we would accidentally spill our beers if anyone walked by the table and nudged it. Since this location is down town the parking can be difficult so make sure you arrive a little early before your reservation to find a spot.

Really fun low key place. We had a great time with a work group. Also offer competitive leagues if you are really into it. Now serving beer and wine by the can. Emmy was our axepert helper.

We got set up as a walk-in and they were very accommodating. They require close toed shoes, but if you dont have any theyll rent to you. The Axe-perts are helpful and will get you started if you have no idea what youre doing

Came out here with a group of 9 folks for a birthday celebration for my stepson. I booked online ahead of time for our group to be sure they had space for us because we were coming in on a Saturday night. If you can, have everyones emails handy so that once you book everyone can also do the waiver paperwork before you show up - this will save you time checking in, especially if you have a big group. And be sure to get there at least 10-15 minutes before your reservation time for safety and such.The staff was friendly, informative and knew what they were talking about. We had 3 targets so that it worked out to be 3 people in rotation at each one, so everyone got a lot of throwing in during our hour. The time did seem to fly by quickly though, guess thats what happens when you have fun. The Axepert that served our group was Chelsea. She was friendly, great sense of humor and took a lot of pictures for us so we didnt have to worry about it. She also watched everyone and gave pointers to improve our throwing, which many in the group found helpful.They have a variety of axes at each station for you to try, which is super nice because everyone seemed to prefer different ones. They do good at replacement of boards when needed. They have a lot of targets and some seating nearby so you can hang out. Towards the end of your session, they will bring out other toys for you to throw like knives, stars and mini axes which were also super fun.All in all, great time there and we will be going back again in the future. I think my stepson and husband are considering joining up with the league.

What fun! Cant wait till it officially opens. This place was outstanding. Very well done. Upstairs will have a bar, throwing knives, and darts. Downstairs are the axes. It is much easier than expected, too! It is pretty addictive when those axes thud into the wood. Took 2 throws to find the sweet spot! Youll enjoy it.
