Such a nice place for everyone. Its a great place for people who love the outdoors and who love the rough side of hiking and the rough paths and the rocks and the pebbles. Its also great for people who want a nice smooth biking path. Its good for people who like walks its good for people who like having a picnic and people who like trees and grass and things like that. Its good for the high maintenance people and for the more gritty outdoors people also
I love biking in this.park. I usually start in Katy at George Bush Park and get to this.park at the Baker dam. You will see a lot of birds, rabbits, and other creatures around the path. Going east early in the morning can be a bit challenging if you are sensitive to sunlight in your eyes. If you want to ride at high speed this is not the patk for you. 10mph max when pedestrians present.
Go to for trail walking, bike riding, sitting on a bench, picnicking, etc... There is a small playground near a duck pond we take my daughter to often- could use a bit of an upgrade but the rest of the park makes up for that. Gazebos along the trails. Beautiful, big park!
Lets go take a jog!! Nice trail to run.. nice duck off spots if u like to fish... Solo mission or family time.. its actually a great spot to enjoy your day
The best city park in Houston. Im able to get a work out in and be close to home. The views are amazing and the update to various parts of the park. Where worth it. Parking is easy and access is easy to find.
Amazing park: Great place for a walk, run, or biking. The trail runs a great length.
Always such a good walk here. Although it can get busy its normally not too crowded. Also dog & bike friendly
A mom here with a 1, 4 & 9 year old bicycling and pulling the toddlers. This trail has a lot of short steep slopes. Id only recommend this trail (for anyone pulling children) if youre somewhat experienced. We took on this trailer as a first bike ride (in a long time) we had our a**es handed to us
Mostly a bike path, but lots of runners and walkers too. One of the better places for little hills in the area. A few water fountains every 1.5-2 miles.
Great little park for what it is. Plenty of paved walking trails. Several picnic tables, some with shade. A playground for the little kids. And its pleasantly sitting along the bayou. Its real pretty to be crammed next to the Katy freeway. It connects to the greenway as well, so you get access to miles of walking paths or biking.
I love this trail! It has good hills to make it more challenging and plenty of room for dogs to play.
One of my favourite places in the area. I ride or walk the trails a few times a week. Pretty well maintained and lit. Depending upon the exact path and time of day, it can be sparsely or over populated.
2~3 times a month we go for a cycling here. Good long path connected all the way from beltway-8 to highway 6 we always enjoy having a exercise here
THE BEST PLACE TO RUN BIKE AND HIKE IN HOUSTON.
Nice trail for running and biking. More hills available than most places in Houston, so makes for a good workout.
Almost great. Its quite a nice trail, with good nature, lots of shade, enjoyable hills (for cycling), and no surface level street crossings. Its only issues are that some sections have cracked asphalt, making for some rough areas for cycling and that many turns and hills have a fine dust covering significant portions of the trail, making it very slippery if youre not careful. Its still one of my favorite places to ride, but be careful!
A nice bike and walk trail for some out door exercise
It was fun! I got to work out with some of my family, and we walked for a while. The only thing is that the parking lot that we parked at was prone to theft, so we were a bit anxious, but nothing happened to our belongings.
Pleasant space to walk. The trees and the bayou provide a wonderful backdrop
Lovely long trail for running, walking, and bike riding. I enjoyed running it for years when I worked near it, and now nearly every week I still ride my bike 10 miles to get there and then ride the while length of it.
Nice park. Will definitely be coming back for a picnic.
Beautiful park with beautiful nature views,Great place to relax and to work out
Always amazing.Every time me and my wife go we have an amazing walk5
Great place to walk, run or ride your bike on the trails and paths. Goes on for miles
Its a Beautiful/large park. They have a wonderful long trail for a walk/jog or run/bike ride. You dont feel tired because of the nice scenic view all the way along. The place is crowded during the evening times. The limited parking slots available on-site is the only issue.
Free way to work out and sculpture the body like the Greeks during the Hellenistic Period.
A LOT of bicyclists here! Lots of good trails and pathways for cycling, running, jogging, and exercising.
Good for biking and walking, however it can be crowded on weekends and it has limited parking for all its access points.
Nice, peaceful place, too bad some people leave their trash when visiting. Such a nice place, why trash it out. Trash can kill the wildlife. Please be responsible, and lets keep this place, a nice, peaceful place for another day.
I love the anthills they are great for doing some moutain biking. Anyone from beginner to expert can find something fun to ride!
Really nice. Just remember.1. Stay hydrated2. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing3. Have funDefinitely nice sites to see and its a huge trail. I couldnt finish! Nice bike trail
An oasis in a noisy and crowded city. Very necessary. Lights for night walking, great for dogs on a leash, paved trails, nice.
Beautiful bike trail inside city. A lot of small up and downs. A lot of fun!
One of my favorite places to take a walk...beautiful and scenic!
Best running patk around. Miles of wide paved path and or rough dirt hiking trails along the river on the south side. I have never been there after dark but I have heard that is to be avoidwd.
Love this place, trails keep going and going! Love that theres always a decent crowd. I like going midday, I encourage it if youd like more free space. Bring some good shoes, and If youre into biking, this is a great place to ride as well!
Very beautiful and huge park. Great for photos
Very Nice. Serene and natural you could walk around and just lose yourself in the forest atmosphere, if it had not been so hot we would have done just that.
I absolutely love the section of the trail that runs along the bayou, very natura li, peaceful and tranquil setting where you can truly enjoy nature and if you are lucky spot so MN e iwks and hawks!
Top notch bike trails! I will definitely go back!
Good
Very nice trail for early morning bike ride or a running. It gets busy with people.
It has enough trees, but there are part of the park that have strong sewage or some terrible smell. The park people toured the trail. I told them the issue, but either they couldnt do anything about it or didnt do anything about it, the odor remains.
Nice clean, no dog bags but you should be responsible enough to bring your own. Free parking, play ground, seating throughout and a view of the river. Lots of green, and wide enough walk way for people and bikes to pass. Not crowded at least on an Easter weekend so I would expect it not to ever by that crowded. Again its clean
I love this Park system with the trails running through and with the bayou.
Beautiful hike and bike trails, benches on which to take breaks great place to spend some time in nature and quiet your mind with plenty of social distancing
Hands down one of the best bike trails in the city! It is a 10.7 mile long trail. My husband and I love biking and running through these majestic trails. Weve been enjoying this park for 7 years and counting!
Very good bike trails. Nice people. Good environment. The people are really focused in their workout
There are no lights so it could become unsafe after dusk. Street lights should be installed
Great park for riding bikes, jogging. Lots of open spaces, trails hills and open grassy areas for a picnic
Love it, just wish people would learn the rules of the track. Please dont have both earsphones in, your left should be able to hear people yelling coming on your left this is how bad accidents happen!
Its a great place to walk the dog, bike, or jog. There are miles of paved pathways interconnecting with a parallel unpaved trails. The morning and evenings are beautiful.
Great park for whole family. Biking walking picnicking and playground.
Beautiful park with fantastic nature views. Entrance between Eldridge and Hwy6 has lots of parking and good access to at least 3 directions to run and an outdoor gym. Dairy Ashford parking lot also has at least 3 directions to run and if you go eastbound their is circuit training with exercise equipment as you head toward Kirkwood Dr. I love this park and the options it has for working out, running, hiking, biking, kayaking or even just a nice walk.
Beautiful, scenic and challenging for cycling. You get a great work out with even better views with enough space to social distance while you enjoy it.
Can be a bit busy, but nice paved trail with some hills available.
Quiet, beautiful, long trails, its a nice gem in the middle of memorial
Saturday is too crowded. Best go on weekday. Smell of dog urine along trail was very strong. Bathrooms spaced well.
During normal times, Terry Hershey Park is wonderful. A great place to walk, jog, bicycle. However, during the pandemic, it has attracted people willing to share their viral infections. People dont mind touching the same calestetics equipment that strangers do. No protection. Its easy to wear a mask.We will not be returning to Terry Hershey Park while there are people dying from this viral pandemic.
Great hike and bike trail
Great place to exercise and just relax with nature.
This place needs more accolade. Amazing trails and suitable for anybody to get away from the suburban/city hustle. Please do not turn this into flood retention ponds!!!
Fun park to bike I would not suggest hiking due to fairly flat terrain.
Great place to to go for a long walk or ride your bike.
Beautiful paved walk along buffalo bayou.
The trails have come a long way since I was last here 8 years ago. Now I live close to the trailhead and can bike right in so started exploring. Theyre advanced and technical but very well maintained. Im finally going full suspension as a result to take it on!
Loved the park, but for bike riding Ill wait for a weekday!
Best places to go for a fun bike. There is always loads of space and something new to do.
Today was an amazing century
Just be careful of the S curve if youre on a bike. Slow down or fall down.
Great and safe place to walk.
Fun place to run around
Nice walk, especially rge wooded entry.
I absolutely love this place! I finally found the lovely bluebonnets and got pictures with my daughter. I walked a nice 4 miles back and forth to my car a lot of space for everything and I even saw a red cardinal!
Great place to relax and to work out
I always enjoy this park. Plenty of space on the trail for both bikers and joggers. The trees are much appreciated in a city like Houston.
Nice trails for walking, hiking, and biking. That mountain bike trail starts off strong!
Nice park, perfect for a long walk, running and cycling...
Very nice park. Great biking trails. Very nice fishing
Pictures are of the entrance off Sam Houston tollway. There is free parking. There is a playground in the park close by. There is a bike path and a parallel one most of the way that ppl walk. Be careful of dog poop on the walking path. This was a great place to bike.
Great park. Well preserved.
I really liked the walking area.. wow did I get the cardio I needed. My only negative feedback is,if you have Environmental Allergies or Ashtma beware .. take an allergy tablet or have your inhaler close by
What a great discovery. Huge, well long park, perfect for biking
Great park for hiking, biking or dog walking
Its always peaceful here even with the freeway just a few feet away. I love the shade with all the trees.
I was riding my bike at this park on Saturday May 16th in the afternoon and somehow fell off my bike and hit my head on the pavement. I was unfortunately at the time not wearing a helmet. A really nice man named Chuck really helped me by making sure I got back to my vehicle okay, which was 2 1/2 miles away, helping me find an urgent care center and following me to the urgent care center. Anyways, he texted me to make sure I made it home okay, and I replied that I did. I told him that I would update him on my condition because I later decided to get a CT scan of my head at the ER to make sure there was no internal bleeding. I ended up going to the ER later that same night. Then later again that same night, my phone died and would not charge, and I had to get a new phone, so I lost his number! I have no way to update him and to say Thanks for him helping me that day! I hope he reads this. If you are out there Chuck, thank you so much for being so generous, kind and helpful to a person who was upset, and distraught after wrecking her bike and sustaining a head injury. You were wonderful! Thank you to a kind stranger!
Love it...Its a quiet and pretty place to go walk enjoy nature yourself or with significant other, take kids to the playground and relax
I love this park,my daughters didnt even noticed that we walked for nearly two hours, because they were enjoying nature,we saw a bunny and lots of lizards, we had a great time!!
Really nice place to ride on your road bicycle and some mountain bike just got keep an eye on childrens
I love to walk and jog here! Long path and beautiful scenery.
Great park to walk with babies in strollers.
