Really nice park. Nice scenery and not too crowded at some places. If you go here bring a lot of mosquito repellent cause those guys dont play around. A lot of little fishing spots where you can get some fish, thats what we go to do.

Nice wooded park near Lake Houston. If you like hiking, there is a 3 mile trail around the perimeter of the park. Several smaller trails cross through the woods. The trail signage could have been better. It’s easy to feel as if you’re no longer on the actual trail esp when you are not in the wooded areas but near the power lines. If you have time and want more of a community park, check out Dreussen park next door.

Wow! Nice trails to walk or bike either through the woods or just on the paved street. Also has many access points to lake Houston that you can fish from. Off to the side, theres a playground for the kids and tables to enjoy a nice picnic or so... Very nice park and no admission fee required nor residency in surrounding neighborhoods required. Anyone can come and enjoy this park!

My garage door was operating on an older pulling system and one of the springs suddenly broke. The door was no longer able to open and I had both my cars stuck inside the garage. The worst part was I needed to go to work but couldnt leave because of the door. I called them and the repair guy arrived within the hour. He was super friendly and worked quickly. He suggested I updated my pulling system to a more modern design which was much safer than the outdated system I was using that was prone to metal springs breaking. I agreed and he had my garage door working again with a whole new system in about an hour. It was super fast, responsive, and affordable. I definitely recommend using this company when you are in a bind. Dwight d. elisnhwoer is the best!

I was very stressed when I got here, but I left totally relax. I really enjoyed my walking in the park, taking pictures and watching every part of the park. If you want to have a good time with your couple, I recommend you to go to the park, take good shoes and clothes because you may get dirty. There are a lot of bathrooms and parking spaces available.

This is a free park run by the county. We did the 1.2 mile palmetto trail with a couple small kids. We could not find a trail map online or at the trail head, so we didnt know where to go. We found a sign and followed the trail. The trail was very well marked. It was great for the first half of the hike with shady, beautiful scenery. The last half was the road, which we didnt know, so our hike was asphalt for a lot of it! It was hot with no shade and just followed the road we came in on. If we would have known, we would have doubled back and gone the nice way back to the parking lot. The park would benefit from some trail maps for sure!

The park is a great location to practice off road cycling. The trail consists of dirt, gravel road, grass, and paved road. The park is free to enter and there is parking too. The trail is good for beginner off road cyclists and is approximately 3.2 miles in length. There are port-o-potties in the parking lots, but I do not recall seeing places to refill water bottles, so pack plenty of water. There are picnic tables in the park too.

This place has some decent trails and I actually saw my first black with red stripes grasshopper. I loved the sounds of the different birds I heard while walking through the trails. There are a lot of road walks and powerline trails and the observation point is actually a dead end into a small mud puddle. The place has plenty of portapottys but no toilet paper. They also have lots of trash cans which is nice if people would actually use them. The cops wont do anything about people letting their dogs run around without a leash even after they attack your dogs so I wouldnt recommend bringing your pets with you. This place may be better through the week but definitely dont go here on the weekend looking for solitude. There are also a lot of roots on the trails so watch your footing, 3 out of 5 of us tripped. Saw a lot of bikers out so this park maybe better suited for that.

The park is in beautiful shape. The mowers were there at the front when we entered this morning. Hardly any cars and a great place to ride. We are not into serious bike riding so its nice to just enjoy the shade and nature. We stopped at the public restrooms which were very clean. We did the Loop and it ended up being about 3.7 miles. Great place and the water looked so calm and peaceful. Will have our next picnic there!!

The Eisenhower Park is a very nice and clean park, located on the South end of Lake Houston, between Sheldon and Crosby.People come here to walk, run, hike a bit, just hanging out or ... fishing. People say this is an underrated fishing spot and love it, as it seems never appear to be crowded.I like the natural appearance, that gives you an idea, how the swamps around Houston may have looked like 100 - 150 years ago.

Always nice. Quiet. Bathrooms were clean. Water fountain at the bathrooms I believe. You can land launch a kayak or canoe if you wish. Strong current from the looks of it so either go against for your first leg or have a second vehicle at a second drop point. Trails are decent. Not super well kept but they do what they can for a free, open to the public park.EDIT::::: This park is currently under construction. Entry is blocked with be exception of a couple parking spots at the far entry. No trails. No kayaking or canoe entry. And watch out for gators.

Decided to get up early and have my line in the water at day break. Just moved to Houston 6 months ago now time to go fishing. Drove up to the entrance and this gate is closed. Ok I get this. But doesnt open till 7 am. I thought this was a place to fish and take early morning walks. When the person came and open the gate there were a line of cars waiting to get in. Not used to parks having gates. Guess kinda shows the level of crime here in Houston.

I have been taking my kids here for about 4 years they love this park. It has a pond that is stocked with bass and various pan fish. In winter they stock it with rainbows but get there early because it gets packed. This park also had great running trails great to mountain bike just quick the trails are not extremely long but very nice. The park is usually always cleaned but the county could use some fresh pavement markings for the bike lanes.

I used to hike and geo-cache in Eisenhower Park many, many years ago. It was very wild and unmanicured (compared to every other Houston area park) then. It was wonderful - at that time - to get to enjoy a mostly untouched environment in the midst of urban and suburban sprawl. Im happy to see that this little pocket of wilderness has improved in the best way. The park has taken pains to be inviting to hikers, cyclers, kayakers, and those who fish. The entire roadway in the park is divided equally between autos and those on foot or bike. Kayaks and canoes are all thats allowed on the water. Hiking trails have been expanded and much better marked. Houston provides a dearth of truly wild spaces and this is absolutely a place you can go and step out of the citys urban sprawl.

I really love to fish here. Its a treasure spot for me. There isnt alot of people and if there are its spacious enough for everyone to be spread out enough your not all up in each others business. The only thing I dont like is porta potty is always dirty. Its a portable potty thats self explanatory. Just make sure if you bring the kids you have a way for them to use the bathroom. For instance a portable urinal or small bucket with tp/wipes and some grocery bags. Other then that it fun! You can kayak and fish. Bring your hammock. Its a nice place to be outside.

There are still a few places in the park that you can see how badly the hurricane hit, but a lot of the area has been cleaned up. Its quite a bit smaller than neighboring Duessen park, but its more quiet and ideal for those who just want to spend a little time in nature. Some spots have a bit of trash which is sad, so if you can, bring a small trash bag and pick up a little to throw into one of the bins. Theres a spot I like to sit and reflect while I watch the lake, sometimes. Thre are trails to hike, bike and spots to fish.

It is a good park for trail walking, the trails are not paved or gravel so it helps you feel like youre connected to the nature a little more than many other parks in the area. They have a covered playground which is nice and a permanent restroom located right next to it. The only downside I have found is the 3.2 Mile Trail goes mostly along power lines. Who wants to walk along power lines I dont know but I sure dont.

Ive had two experiences taking a walk through this park; one pleasant and one miserable. The pleasant hike was on one of the deeper trails about a year ago. It was a nice hike, with tree cover for almost the entire thing (we turned around when we got to a field). There was ample parking, and trash bins and restrooms. The poor experience was just a few days ago. We hiked one of the trails at the front of the park in the evening and it essentially just turned into us running away from an army of horse flies. Multiple people were bit, and it just was not a fun experience. I dont know if it was time of day, time of year, or just the way that particular trail is, but I wouldnt ever go back to that trail.
