Would be fun. As of 7/27/2020 7:30pm it doesn’t work. We waited 5 minutes if it had to reset/recharge and nothing. Watch YouTube videos to see it. Looking at the rest of the reviews it seems that it has been broken for more than 10 months.
It was a good place but the button is not working Im so dissapointed
I was so excited to press this red button. Get there fight to find parking, find the magical button and nothing happened! I was/am sooo disappointed!
Button does not work very disappointed
In work zone
Still doesnt work FYI.
Doesn’t work!
Not working ️
It was a good place
It was such a neat thing when it worked, but its still broken
Not working.
Hidden feature of the park. You can press a red button in one of the columns on this bridge and the bayou will burp. Its nice to impress your friends and family with. Have them stand in the middle of the bridge, then go to the column/ attach at the end of the bridge and press the button. Its in the column closest to downtown and on the side facing the bayou going to the west.
Good tourist spot
Was nice scenery
Beatiful, but no public restrooms.
I was disappointed. This Bubble Boy memorial does little to honor David Vetter and the doctors who strived to keep him alive.
This place is pretty fun, but currently not working.
This hidden feature has existed long before the days of social media when it was a word-of-mouth scavenger hunt between longtime locals who have grown up in Houston. I remember it took me and my friends days to find it and when we did, it was broken. We came back several weeks later and it was back to functioning again and I know this happens every once in a while because Ive been visiting it for more than 15 years.
Seems like a cool idea. Free. The button is up on the street level. The water was way to high for us to see a really cool experience of it. It had just rained for a few days.
Found the button, no bubble though!
The bubble doesnt work
I went there to find the bubble, wasted like 45mins. I read the instructions too but wasnt able to get it
Love to come visit the big bubble but sadly today it was not working.
Clean, but does not work
No bubble...we found the red button...but no big bubble not even a small bubble.
It was broke when went and that was disappointing
It was not working, it was very disappointed
I always take out of towners here. I love it. Easy to bike to.
I would give it negative stars if I could. Found it easy enough but nothing happened. Four other people tried while I watched the bayou. Nothing. Waste of time.
Fun little thing to do if youre nearby. I couldnt find the button at first - its at the bridge level in an alcove off the sidewalk at the south end.
So bummed couldnt wait to see this again however it was not working . It is a wicked cool site to see. Hopefully Harvey didnt permanently damage the bubbler and it will be fixed next time Im in the area
Its a cool art piece that you can freak your unknowing friends with when you hit the random red button LOL! One of our favs, but the trees are in the way of the view from the button location. One person has to stand on the bridge to see the Big Bubble while someone else pushes the button
Pretty neat. Due to pine trees planted along the bank of the bayou, you now need to hit the button and run down the sidewalk, to look off the bridge and see the bubbles.
It didnt work.
We call this Bubbles the Bayou Monster. When taking first timers here, I give a short routine about Bubbles the shy but friendly monster living under the water who will say hi if people to wave her. Then start waving and have an accomplice press the button. Yes its corny, but its also fun.
The button is not working. Total bummer
One of Houstons secrets. Look for the shiny red button then run onto the bridge.
Kids are sure to love this. Be warned: once you do it, it takes a minute or two to before you can do it again.
Nothing happened. We tried for 15 minutes. I would have like it to have been working.
Bummer because the Bubble Button was broken!
I think the bubbler is broke, there is no bubble coming out no matter how many times we press the red button.
Big dud. I didnt see anything happen.
Why? Bayou was high from all the rain. Maybe it is better when the water isnt rushing.
Very neat, but gets old quick
This hidden oddity is worth stopping by for.
Currently not working. 2-sep-2018.
We found it, but I was told It hasn’t worked since Harvey
Though it may not be working due to Hurricane Harvey, it is still a great Easter egg to stumble upon.
Not working
Never did get to see the water gurgle but the architecture of the bayou was nice.
10/10 would recommend
Button is broken.
Cool idea, actual burp was underwhelming.3 Stars
Overrated. Doesnt look like much of a big bubble. Just a small underwater spout
Broke
Doesnt work
Doesnt work. >:(
Not working. :(
It’s broken right now, and the button is no so big!
Press the red button!!! :D
Good local food
Great for kids
Neat.
Looks like it has been fixed. Surprisingly fun.
