Would be fun. As of 7/27/2020 7:30pm it doesn’t work. We waited 5 minutes if it had to reset/recharge and nothing. Watch YouTube videos to see it. Looking at the rest of the reviews it seems that it has been broken for more than 10 months.

Its on Preston Street, not the trail under the bridge. Its pretty neat. The city planner who did this should get a raise.

Hidden feature of the park. You can press a red button in one of the columns on this bridge and the bayou will burp. Its nice to impress your friends and family with. Have them stand in the middle of the bridge, then go to the column/ attach at the end of the bridge and press the button. Its in the column closest to downtown and on the side facing the bayou going to the west.

I was disappointed. This Bubble Boy memorial does little to honor David Vetter and the doctors who strived to keep him alive.

This hidden feature has existed long before the days of social media when it was a word-of-mouth scavenger hunt between longtime locals who have grown up in Houston. I remember it took me and my friends days to find it and when we did, it was broken. We came back several weeks later and it was back to functioning again and I know this happens every once in a while because Ive been visiting it for more than 15 years.

Seems like a cool idea. Free. The button is up on the street level. The water was way to high for us to see a really cool experience of it. It had just rained for a few days.

Its a cool art piece that you can freak your unknowing friends with when you hit the random red button LOL! One of our favs, but the trees are in the way of the view from the button location. One person has to stand on the bridge to see the Big Bubble while someone else pushes the button

Kr
Review №37

Pretty neat. Due to pine trees planted along the bank of the bayou, you now need to hit the button and run down the sidewalk, to look off the bridge and see the bubbles.

We call this Bubbles the Bayou Monster. When taking first timers here, I give a short routine about Bubbles the shy but friendly monster living under the water who will say hi if people to wave her. Then start waving and have an accomplice press the button. Yes its corny, but its also fun.
