I hosted a charity comedy event at The Secret Group and had a wonderful experience. Staff was courteous and friendly with all our guests. Facilities were accommodating to all of our needs for our production. I would recommend visiting this venue for comedy and music events they hold there every night of the week.

First time here. Atmosphere was chill, lights dimmed and just really awesome! Went to the comedy show and it was hilarious! Great acts with awesome personalities. Havent laughed that hard in a while! I definitely recommend this place. You will love the vibe and the crowd. Im coming back for sure.

Good, small venue. The stage being short made for a very intimate show. Good sound mixing. Stage is in a separate room from the main bar, but has a smaller bar in the same room. Main bar is well stocked with liquor and has a rotating draught selection. Reasonably priced drinks. Fire sale draught, $3. Paid parking nearby, or street parking if you can find it. Clean bathrooms. Photo booth in the main bar room.

Greatest place for comedy in Houston. Shows are dirt cheap or free. Open mics are worth going to.

This place is so welcoming! I’ve spent a few New Years here and they let me in with slippers!The crowd is diverse, friendly, and the staff is great too!Saturday nights are 90s nights!This is my favorite place to dance and have fun. No cover charge and no jerk bouncers.

Has a lot of diverse events and I can always find something good going on here. Been on girls night out and date nights. Only wish more people knew how cool it was so it would be less empty. :)

SURPRISINGLY good music/DJ the night I went with some friends. Definitely would recommend this place, its out of the way of all the other bars/clubs but its worth the drive out there.

Nice little venue with friendly and responsible bartenders! I witnessed a bartender attempt to explain to a heavily intoxicated and incoherent goth woman why she couldnt continue to serve her. Kudos to you for doing a great job and caring about the safety of another person! The bathrooms have always been clean when Ive attended concerts here and theres complimentary water.

Attended a podcast taping 11.16. Chairs were literally on top of one another. No room for leg space or to get in and out.They bring cool acts, but I wouldn’t attend another show there.Don’t know how that wasn’t against fire code.

One of my favorite venues in Houston, especially for comedy. They have something going EVERY night of the week. Every year around November they do the Come and Take It Comedy Festival and sometimes give out passes for those who enter the raffle - I won last year Recurring shows I recommend: Wheelhouse with Dusti, Filth with Doug and Nick, Bad Idea and Back of the Bus to name a few. Never a bad time at TSG. Parking is doable, they usually have free street parking or like $5-$10 cash lots. They just set up a lot kiddie corner from the venue that’s well lit and $10 to park overnight.

The Secret Group is a great place to watch the episode of this game of your favorite movie in the world and eat your own food for a while. (That last sentence was made by just clicking the suggestions on my keyboard) This is a great place for funny people, interesting shows and just a laugh in general. Get you a ticket to one of them shows! Get out of the house. Do something! Stop sitting around reading reviews wondering if Im telling the truth. Go find out for yourself! Explore the world!

90s night on Saturdays is a lot of fun. I have been a couple of times and it is always a mixed crowd. It is definitely a place for dancing in a very fun and friendly atmosphere. It is a small space so it gets crowded sometimes.

Came her for my sisters bday and it was comedy night. Wasnt the best but I see where its going and what it could be. The host kind of killed it by doing a little extra each joke. We left as he brought out the next act. Well try it once more to see whats up

Consistently put on great shows. Friendly staff, good drinks, killer lineups, and some of the most creative shows you can find in Houston. Highly recommend.

Saw Joe List there in December. It was hilarious. Good bartenders, great comedians. Will be back.

This place has different rooms for different occasions. Main room is a bar / dance room. Upstairs is the smoking section / patio. Second room is their main vanue if you will. They have speedball comedy in their smaller room towards the outside. Overall great place for entertainment.

They have a lot of 8th wonder beer. Bathrooms are clean. Bar tenders are quick and nice. Diverse mix of patrons.

Awesome atmosphere! The bartender was friendly however she had a heavy hand and made our drinks extremely strong. Not really a complaint, but the balance was uneven for my taste.

Saturday nights here are the best! The 90s-2000s mix of tunes is proper, and the staff are some of the best around. Multiple rooms, usually with a mix of live performances, comedy, and dancing! Its in a very convenient part of town as well. Check it out sometime!

A younger hipper crowd with a dive bar atmosphere. I would definitely go see another comedian here. Its definitely a different experience than the Improv.

The venue was great, the staff was excellent, my only issue was that I drove 4 hours to see a show, and had to leave the venue during the headliner because there was so much smoke from patrons.

This is the best place in Houston to catch some quality stand up. Good sized room for three price point and no drink minimum if youre not in the mood that night.

The venue is great, good location, 2 sperate rooms, plus the upstairs patio. The DJs are usually pretty bad, and the music selection can be hit or miss. Theres normally alot of aggressive creepy men here on weekends, so ladies beware. Theres a cute photo booth in the first room, and theres 4 bathrooms (2 bars) they also have live music and comedy here alot of days

I went there last night like an hour ago to see Justina Valentine. This is one cool building . It’s very intimate and just the right size to see your favorite artist or acts up close . I really wish I woulda found out about this place sooner . I will definitely be back and management and the staff treated me like a valued customer. I’m excited about making a return trip in the future and really enjoyed my time there this evening

The bartenders are super friendly and good at their jobs! I have been here so an emo night and joke trivia, I had a blast at both events! I love the rooftop smoking patio, and the nitro cold brew coffee rocks my socks!!

Great venue... has two parts. Concerts are intimate and the staff/ bartenders are chill.

Staff at the door is not prepared to accommodate large parties and left outside most of our group. Poorly managed.

This place believe it or not gets exciting on Fridays. Especially with comedy.

Drinks, morphed Pac Man, and we loved the back room comedy shows. That comedian Stacy Anderson was hilarious!!
