Great for all ages (over 6). I took my 8 year old to a Saturday night show. She just joined an improv group at school and I wanted her to see how it is done. She absolutely LOVED every moment! And so did I!! I recommend getting there when the doors open at 730 bc the parking lot is tiny and youll want to get a space before it fills. Also, go to the concession stand and purchase three judge swatters. This way you can be sworn in and vote for your favorite team.

A friend is taking classes there so I went with her. Had a good time, funny crew and lots of ways to keep the audience involved and yall know I like bring involved - thats why I write these reviews.

Great show, lasts about two hours. Pretty funny but seems to depend on who is preforming. They dont currently offer alcohol, but it is BYOB, so thats a plus. Would recommend.

My husband and I have been to the Comedy Sportz show a couple times and LOVE it. Its a lot like Whose Line is it Anyway and a ton of laughs. Everyone is so talented and its family friendly entertainment. My only complaint is the seating. They just use fold out chairs and my bum hurts so bad by the end of the show ( I even stand during the mini break in the middle of the show)

Always a good time- every show is hilarious! If you thought you werent into improv, go to a CSz show. You will definitely not regret it!

Such a fun place to visit. Might be awkward for first timers but once the first game is going youll be laughing with everyone else. Comedy is clean for for the whole family. Definitely something you can take a kid 8+ to and not worry about what they hear and see. Also great for a date night. Go early to score a free parking spot.

Improv is a different kind of comedy. This is not your standard evening of comedy club stand-up routines, one comedian at a time. Rather its 2-3 teams of comedians playing games, doing skits, and creating comedy based on audience suggestions.You will definitely laugh, youll definitely have a good time. And youll probably save some money as there is no 2-drink-minimum like most comedy clubs. In fact, its a family friendly event with an alcohol-free concession stand.Thursday nights are 17+, not lewd but not as family friendly and you can BYOB.

Ive been here serves times and never been disappointed! The 8pm comedy ships is family friendly (no swearing or adult content) so its ok to take kids to. Since some of the comedy is on current events, it may go over younger peoples heads. The 10 PM First Friday show is completely adult oriented, and everything is made up add they go. Definitely worth your time!

The place was very fun. Went there for an office party everyone had a great time. They do not serve alcohol there, however It is a BYOB so you can enjoy whatever you want. At intermission they do have soda water for purchase. Very interactive group and they make sure everyone has fun.

Had lots of fun and it was very funny!

This was our second visit and we took my in-laws. Its alway been a fun wholesome and hilarious good time. Parking can be tight and local traffic is terrible if the soccer stadium had just let out but still worth it every time.

Highly recommend for a date night with the wife or a fun that out with the family!!

Fun place! Lots of laughs... Friday show starts at 8, doors open at 7:30 and its clean humor.. safe for kids. I think they have 17+ shows afterwards and they always have different events going on monthly. Parking is very limited (maybe 17 spots in the lot)... but there is plenty of street parking.

CSz Houston is just incredible! First of all, they led an fun and interactive professional development at my job. Think about what Im saying. 300 teachers, in a gym, had a FUN TIME, playing games. UM, THATS A BIG DEAL. So I already thought they were great. Then, to go to a CSz match and see these talents in action?! My goodness. Totally blew my socks off. But not literally because thatd be weird. CSz is definitely gonna be my go to plans on the weekends from now on. If you havent been, GO!

If you are looking for a good time this is the place to be. The shows here are truly funny and entertaining. The staff always is friendly and helpful and the shows never fail to have me dying laughing. The facility is cool and parking is always available. Money well spent

Sooooooooo much fun. I laugh my head off every time I go. Nice people, and very comical. They have family friendly and adult shows to attend, as well as concessions. Theres online reservations and walk-ins. I recommend to families, young couples, teens, and elderly.

If you have never seen a CSz match, do yourself a favor and see one ASAP! Unique versions of hilarity every time we go. My kids, 5 and 7, cant get enough. The performers are very entertaining and extremely friendly. Cant recommend this group enough!

Best comedy club in Houston! Weve been loyal fanz for more than 15 years and its our go-to venue for a great date night...never been let down by this talented group, and its two hours of non-stop improv. Great concessions and free parking. It doesnt get any better than this.

We live in Buffalo, New York, and traveled to Houston for the first time to visit family. They took us right away to ComedySportz. It set the hilarious tone for the rest of the visit. We laughed so hard-the comedians were quick and funny. The high energy was contagious, their wit was refreshing and we continued their spirit and enthusiasm throughout the rest of the trip. One of the best trips we ever took-Thanks for including us in the show, thanks for the fun! Well return again!

ComedySportz Houston is in fact an outstanding place to learn improv comedy. The instructors are outstanding and talented. I had just completed my level one class with Samir and I am blown away by how much Ive learned with his energy and passion for the craft. I highly recommend this place if you are wanting to dive into improv!

We have been attending regularly for years - often weekly. It is high energy team based family friendly fun at the ComedySportz show - incorporating all manner of (clean) suggestions from the audience. Being family friendly does NOT mean it isnt a blast for adults, it is just not R rated. As frequently as we go we do see some games repeated, but it is never the same result as the players and suggestions change. It is incredibly rare that I dont leave with a sore face from smiling and laughing. Yes, it is quite similar to Whose Line Is It but different with more audience suggestions, some voting and competing teams. No, it is not stand up. Well go again. There are often late shows with varying formats allowing Adult only content if you are interested in that too. Been to many of those as well.

We enjoyed the show. I think they run a school there too so I’m wondering if some of the actors were students. Some of the actors were funnier then others, but overall it was fun. We found an online coupon so it really wasn’t any more expensive then a movie. It was about 2 hrs and no one had to get up on stage (a big fear of my friend). We were visiting Houston and not super familiar with area, but the section of town seemed a little shady? There was free parking on premises. Overall, a fun time that I would recommend anyone to go to.

Enjoyed myself very much. Interactive. I was please with how much my wife laughed. The price of the drinks and snacks were little high, but the cost of the show was very reasonable, so it balanced out.

Good venue for improv comedy. They offer earlier clean shows which are fun for the whole family, and later shows which are wild and 18+. And excellent way to spend an evening.

Update for 1/22/17:New location in EaDo is spacious, close to fun eateries, and perfect for a date night or night out with friends. Always family friendly and clean comedy at the 8 p.m. shows with plenty of more adult offerings on their late night roster. Highly recommended!

Went with mama to keep me from going insane from the kids. The show was clean and funny. Does sell basic snacks. Clean bathrooms. Seating is rows of chairs.

Highly disappointed with the improv comedy show. It was not advertised as a clean childs show. Even in this format it was executed poorly. Very early in the show my party excused ourselves and went to the front desk to explain how we felt misled with the hopes of getting a refund. The guest service was poor, condescending and made the situation worse. Frankly very rude. Visiting from Canada, our familiarity is with second city for improv. The woman at the front desk was unapologetic that the advertising was misleading and could not comprehend that we werent familiar with sports comedy. This overal gap in communication needs to be addressed. I do recommend this show for family with young children. Unfortunately the customer service and poor advertising make me give this one star rating.

This place is amazing. I bought a Groupon and went when I was upset but I left laughing and in a wonderful mood! So, you have a bunch of High School Drama Teachers that want to earn extra buck, you make a improve troup and then tell ALL your students that they have to buy a ticket for a grade; this puts sales in line and butts in the seats. and the Drama Teachers have fun at their students expense.They are a sad little troupe of people and if you fall for this like I did I am sorry you did not read this. Bottom line; If you dont need the grade to pass, dont support the pay for a grade lokegic The one girl in the troop was just to hard to watch, so not funny. Just very akward.
