Quirky and fun! One of our favorite places to perform!! We love being here for the ArtCrawl! The owners are kind and welcoming, the art ranges from political and statement-making to just pure beauty! A variety of artists Grace the Halls! You never know what youll see and its always an experience sure to be thought-provoking!!!

This is one of my favorite studios spaces in Houston, with its mix of bohemian + traditional attitude, loose + tight management, odd + eclectic + mainstream art, and the never-ending flow of ideas and creativity coming out of the collective minds. It is always a visual and cerebral feast walking through the halls to view the changing art, peeking in the artists spaces to see their latest, and delving into provocative conversations on the fly.

When you go up to Mother Dog Studios, youre met by a big statue of ... a headless dude, or something. I really cant explain it. Find time to visit this place and part of town anyway, though.Mother Dog Studios is a building with space for a bunch of artists studios. If you go for Houstons art crawl, stop by here and look around. Youll see (and maybe smell) a very wide variety of art on display - an educational experience indeed.This is a weird place in a weird part of town, but itll give you an appreciation for Houstons historic arts district. Enjoy!
