The aquarium is small, we spent 40 minutes on inspection. It is convenient to walk with small children, everything is close. Beautiful design, sounds. An interesting episode - riding the train, unusual. In addition, there are added attractions (open on weekends for an additional fee), two entertainments in one place.

Very cool experience. Restaurant was particularly good for what I expected. Lots of nifty things to do. The train under the shark aquarium was something my little fella will remember. Many interesting sea creatures with informative information along the way. A white tiger lunged at us while we were viewing her.Would be nice to have a more inclusive package rather than a bit of nickel-and-diming, but I get that. One thing that really would have been nice was if there was a discount for people who showed up an hour before close to not have to pay the full day pass price. Girl at the ticketing could have been friendlier, but I know good help is tough these days.Great fun overall. Would recommend.

The food was very good and decently priced for what they served. The seating is on three sides of a massive tank filled a great variety of fish, sharks, and rays. The staff were very professional and kind to the children. They had lots of facts to share about the fish. They have a paid parking lot under the overpass and on the backside of their property.

Im rating it 3 stars because the food is overpriced, for it to taste the way it does.I recommend the Watermelon Lit. Its $14 with a souvenir glass, 11 without one.The rides are cheap and fun.

THIS IS ONLY FOR THE AQUARIUM RESTAURANT: The staff and customer service is one of the best in town and the food is excellent giving you large portions without sacrificing quality. We didnt realize it was HRW but were so excited when we realized it was! The top sirloin and stuffed flounder were amazing, some of the best Ive had in a long time. We also got the strawberry shortcake and another chocolate-y cake that was pure heaven. The calamari also has artichokes and sweet potatoes. The seafood gumbo was slightly salty but still delicious. We had a GREAT time.THIS IS FOR THE RIDES: The Lighthouse Dive was closed down due to weather conditions, but the weather that day was SPECTACULAR, probably the best weather of the year so far. It was a huge disappointment, to say the least. The self-parking is $8.

Nick and Jose were attentive, but not overly attentive! Nick made my wifes unsweet mango tea perfect! This was a great night at the aquarium and they sat us right in front of the tank at a big window. My family and I enjoyed walking around see the different fish and taking pics. Its been a few years since weve been here. Nick answered many questions about the fish and how they are cared for.

Cute place! Overall, they offer more than most aquariums. Theres a small amusement park attached with numerous rides, including a train that takes you through an aquarium tunnel and provides interesting factoids along the way, a restaurant and bar, splashpad, and a stingray exhibit where you can feed/touch/pet them. Ooh and they have a cool Bengal tiger exhibit too. Bottom line: Really fun way to spend the day without breaking the bank.

Its a nice place for kids. Quiet small for aquarium. Decent amount & number of fish display. They have sting Rey pool where you can feed them and touch them. They also have 4 Bengal tigers. But its quiet a small place for tigers and when you look at them you feel sad because you feel this artificial environment has made them dull and uninterested of there surrounding. They have outdoor seating area. Two floors of dining area. Even you can have a private function like birthdays etc in there.Outside they have a toy train ride for which you have to buy tickest seperately. They have a couple of rides like the carrousel and merry go round.

Small little aquarium in downtown Austin. Unfortunately current construction makes it difficult to get to. Ended up being directed around and through the back of the Houston police dept. Also has a small amusement park attached with a few small rides. Not a lot to the main exhibits but they also have a restaurant upstairs and a separate exhibit were you can pet stingrays. Also somewhat unbelievably they have a pair of white Bengal tigers as well. Dont know if its worth full price but using the city pass makes it tolerable. Probably good for little kids but teens may be less impressed.

The aquarium is not the greatest. Very small displays. We went as it was included with our City Pass, but we will not be returning. Parking was $8 which I felt ridiculous, we were in the aquarium for 30 minutes tops. Outside are some restaurants and shops but being the weekend, busy. And no one wearing a mask or social distancing enforced.Google highly ranked aquariums and save yourself the visit unless you’re planning on doing the outdoor activities/restaurants which you can add on to your CityPass for $6/pp which felt gimmicky. The nicest part of the aquarium is the beautiful white tiger. But the gift shop was jam packed with no one wearing masks or enforcing any social distancing.

Due to Covid-19 the Houston Downtown Aquarium was not too busy. They even had a coupon offer for $14.99 valid until 7/31/2020 that we used to save $32.00!! The rides were fun but we enjoyed the aquarium the most, especially the stingray touching pool and to end the walk through with their gorgeous Bengal White Tigers was a great touch! You can not leave the aquarium without dining at the Aquarium Restaurant. Our meals were made to perfection, with an immense amount of attention to detail. Definitely a gourmet chef experience!! Our waiter, Stan, was always on the sidelines ready to assist. Very, very impressed!

There werent many rides. But the $6.50 upgrade was worth it. The train ride under the shark tank is something you wont want to miss. The resturant had great service and food. It is surrounding a huge aquarium and the balcony has great views. There was a fish expert that came to each table and explained what was in the tanks and answered any questions. But expect to pay average 20 to 40 dollars per person. If your going to be in Houston a few days I would highly recommend the city pass. $62 for adults. And has 5 attractions entries included. I found by the 3rd attraction I was already saving money.

Took my 7 year old here for the first time because I didnt want to drive all they way to Kemah. I have to say I am disappointed in the exhibit and lack of rides for younger children. The exhibit is also small and a short walk through. I happened to snag tickets on sale though. I would never pay full price for this place. I got us an all day pass. Dont buy an all day pass or all weekend pass unless youre planning on visiting the other sites all at the same time. Its just too small and they dont have enough things to do for an all day pass at this location. My kid liked the train to see the sharks and feeding the stingrays. Will never come back again to this location as my kid got bored after only two hours. We even rode some rides multiple times too. So much for the all day pass.

This is a nice tourist spot to take the kids to see some cool animals and even a beautiful white tiger! The kids enjoyed themselves until we went to the gift shop to get them take home gifts.Well please review the attached photo and you will understand my dismay. Early in the day the kids saw these bubble wands they wanted, so we told them we would buy them right before we leave the park. Unfortunately the kiosk outside had went back inside so we went into the gift shop. As you can see by the photo we were under the impression that the cost was buy one, get the 2and at 1/2 price...but that was not the case. Any consumer looking at the signage over the set-up would assume that whatever is under the sign is on sale. After overhearing that this was not the case, but it only applies to the other bubble wands on the same display AT THE BOTTOM, my wife and I were very upset. We explained to the young kids working there that it was false advertising and deceptive practice. That didnt matter to them as they tried to explain it to us grown working professionals that the price applies only to the smaller ones. Please note that neither wand we purchased even worked! See the signage below!! BAD BUSINESS!!!!
