We really enjoyed this place. It is electric karts and therefore no fume like the gasoline ones. This place is clean and well maintained. The pricing package is reasonable but expect to spend some. For the price we are paying I wish they had given a free t-shirt for the birthday child. We did not book a birthday party but we did spend $250 for 3 kids to celebrate birthday. How about a complimentary T-shirt?!?! If its your bday you do get a free race but because the others did not get a free race, we chose not to use free race until another time.

Place was amazing, first time ever going on them. At the 1st part of the race I used the brake way to much, but near the end I never did. Which makes it fun because you have to learn how to apply the pedals. Also they put you in real motorcycle helmets. All around fun for racing with friends, or just yourself.

Very clean, and well maintained. We live that there is no fume because it is electric go karts. We purchased the 5 races and that is $75 per person. It does not matter your age, price depends on number of races. If its yoir birthday you get a free race. For three people taxes and all total $243.57 for the races option Kids enjoyed themselves.

Great time with family! I was really nervous for my son who is autistic but he ended up doing really well. Amazing times....seemed safe enough although, well......make sure that you keep your face mask on underneath the cool scarf they give you.

Such a blast. The staff was super sweet. They even snagged some pictures for us which meant the world because I don’t get to see my brother very often. We will be back!

I had fun. The staff were pretty friendly. My only issue was between races I did not see them dangerous the steering wheels but they do sanitize the helmets. I just washed my hands after.

I giving K1 Speed 5 stars based on the fun, the speed, and the duration of the racing. Brought my son here for his 16th bday and he loved it! However, I would only give it 3 stars based solely on the price. We dropped close to $1000 for a party pack with 12 racers (the max allowed), plus 1 junior racer.

It’s super clean. The food is great, and the go kart race is the best. You really go crazy fast in those cars. The vibe here is just outstanding. I recommend this place for people who like to live at the extreme.

I was amazed at how clean it was. They have nice comfortable seats while you wait for your turn to race. You have to register in order to drive the carts. It has a one time membership fee of $7, thatll be included into your price. A single race cost $22. They also offer military discounts. Which is $5 off the price. The carts are big enough for a person who is 5ft to 6ft, to fit comfortably. You get to ride 6 laps before you have to get off. And the carts can reach speeds up to 45 mph. So hold on because your in for a fun and fast race. I would advise you to use the restroom before you start the race. Enjoy yourself and burn rubber.

K1 indoor go kart track utilizes electric motors instead of the gasoline powered ones you commonly see. The torque and acceleration are both noticeable different and makes the karts more fun to drive. The facility also did not have the usual exhaust and gasoline smell. The track was good, a few different turns that take time to really master & make for an exciting ride. We didnt try the food when we were there but it seemed like the have the usual bar food style. Employees were friendly and nice and made sure to explain everything so youre comfortable racing around d the track. K1 even offers leagues and challenges so you can build and work on your skills. Were discussing going up there routinely, it was that much fun.

Took my husband here for our anniversary. He has always wanted to go. Lot of fun. Pretty pricey but well worth it.

This is only a reply of owner response to my other account review in which he stated that 7 $ membership is nothing and I have to thanks for it, let me explain to all readers that I have contacted K1 speed by phone and asked them for the price where they answered for flat price without mentioning the 7 $ membership, so we drived 30 mins from Katy up to their location and we chocked of the real price, I dont see any meaning for the annual membership for someone like us how passed by from other states !!! even though it should be stated by employee over phone. the owner through his reply instead of apologize and compensate his staff mistake, he was only justifying and saying membership is common for all kart races .. I just want to inform the owner that we have passed to another kart race, and we have enjoyed with half price without paying the membership that he pretend it is common for all kart races !!

When we contacted them on phone they informed 24 $ per race per person, when we came we chocked that price is ( 7 $ membership + 22 dollar ) per person !!

Its a fun zippy track but there isnt quite enough room to get going that fast. The track Marshalls were extremely friendly but I just didnt feel that the race was long enough

I drove here to celebrate my son 14th birthday ONLY to find out that even if the parent is present junior races arent allowed after 8pm for safety reasons waste of time & had to turn my party around to celebrate somewhere else.

Came here for the Mushroom Rally. Very fun and staff was attentive do driver safety and instruction. Will be back again.

I had previously been out to K1 for the Mushroom Cup event and had a great time. I was a bit skeptical of indoor electric karts, but didnt miss the fumes at all.This time we were out for a friends birthday party, and again we had a great time. If you come out with a good group who knows how to drive, theyll really let you loose out there. Now I just need to find another 0.7 seconds somewhere out on the track to get my lap times down into the high 22s.

They are too controlling of which cars can pass and which ones must slow down. They pick and choose winners - not a fun thing for kids who are good at racing. My kids literally say “It’s rigged!” And when you complain about it, they confirm that they control who passes but they claim they’ve been doing it for a long time and they know best.

Lots of fun for every one!! Well organised. We had a very small wait time between races, which was surprising in a good way. The staff are friendly. We all enjoyed our time on the track.

Operators are WAY too eager to cut power to karts. They actually left my kart off for a solid 30 seconds after a turn, and chastized me for not moving. What was I supposed to do, break out a dremel and Flintstones my way out of the way?

My husband and I had a date night here. . He has been but this was my first time. The staff was helpful and even made it even more fun with their humor and playful attitudes. Will definitely be back with my teenagers.

I manage the internship program for my organization and for a farewell event we went to K1 Houston. I had a group of 35 people, they were able to host us very comfortably.We purchased the Gran Prix package, they split us up into three groups. We all had a practice race (12 laps), qualifying race (14 laps) and a final race (16 laps).During the races the group is able to watch at the tables nearby. You can also play at some of their arcade game and play pool while you wait. We also rented a room to have lunch before we started the races, we catered Rudy’s BBQ.I highly recommend this to anyone, regardless of the size of your group!

Attended the Mushroom Rally today, had a lot of fun! The building is very clean and the staff is friendly. The Karts go pretty damn fast too! Because there was a special event it was a little chaotic so we didnt get full instructions on how the timing and penalties work and I think that hurt our times and affected how we raced. Regardless we had a blast, highly recommend!

Too expensive especially for large families. Suggest teenagers and adults to get money worth. Great way to do a date night.

K1 speed is definitely the best go kart place in Houston, very clean and the go karts are new and electric. I would give 5 stars but they are sooooo expensive! I love to go here with my family but they balk sometimes due tothe prices, and unless you have the special K1 card you’ll end up paying a lot of money every time you go.

Fun place! The staff seemed nice and they have a very organized way of running the races. Would definitely do it again. Gave it 4 stars because theres a patch on the track that is very bumpy.

When youre online purchasing ticketsthere needs to be a pop-up that let you know youre going to have to pay another $7 each person if theyre not already a member and if you purchase two rides at one time you cannot share them between people in your party

Easily accessible from Houston is an advantage. Service is very slow. There are machines for registration and then only one line to pay. Also a long wait over the weekend for your turn. In terms of race — it is a very small course with lots of turns, making it necessary to slow down for the turns all the time. Many cars on the track at the same time too. Electric cars means no gas-y smell indoor, though you will find yourself and other cars being controlled by the controller. That can be bit frustrating (but safe) at time. There were also very aggressive drivers on the same tracks as newbie drivers. Management may want to consider separating and alternating novice race and aggressive races to prevent less crashes and frustration.

Well organized... Great carting....my son had a excellent..track time..beating a few..people..and they were kinda unsporting about that......never been at this complex he got a monthly top 10... We had a great time...though..minus a mans mouth ...lol

Probably the fastest and most equipped go kart facility I’ve been to. Races are one after the other. Some karts skid too much and need new tires but overall it’s a really fun place to be.

I truly love this place, these go karts are beyond fast and fun. All is well except for the menu and the Hispanic cashier with the horrible attitude. When ordering from any menu, anywhere, if the item ordered is not on the list or there are things that it normally comes with that wont come with it that day, you are supposed to be told either before or during the order that the item is not being served. I ordered an item based off what it came with and when I got it, it had nothing that was described on the menu. When i brought the item back the lady was rude abrasive and was so focused on everything but work that she didnt realize how stank her attitude was.

Went to K1 for a friends birthday. We did the package where we did 3 rounds and it was just us in the race. Totally worth it cause we got to compete against our own friends. Fun times!

Expensive! Over priced! And forces you to purchase a membership just for a one time ride...requires you to put on a helmet that others just took off in the midst of COVID-19.

My little man loves coming here he has so much fun the facility is clean and the staff is helpful the go karts are electrical powered so its totally safe inside no gas anywhere.

A while back my son was driving k-1 speed car and there was an accident where another drivers’ car ended up on top of my son’s car.There were some scarves and bruises but mainly my son was scared. The manager in charge was more concerned about getting sued. I asked him for incident report and he wrote it out and It was clearly that the situation was being downplayed.To anyone having young kids driving be carful and stay watching them so they don’t end up under another drivers car. Be safe. I just won’t visit the place after that situation.Respectfully.

We had a company team building and we had a great time. Love the electric cars with the torque and and you guys able to control the speeds as needed.

The track is nice and if people arent hitting the wall or each other they crank up the speed. I really like the track lay out compared to a few others Ive been to. The staff was helpful and friendly. My issue with the place is the parking lot security. Do not park closest to the road. My coworker had his window busted in and items stolen. I saw at least two other batches of glass so this appears to be common issue.Park close to building or move on.

It was fun. The only reason I’m giving it two stars was because I was charged a membership fee that was not mentioned at all by the clerk at the front desk. Really felt like I got scammed there seeing that the membership appeared to be optional instead of required. :/ sorry to be that person.

Call to make an appointment for 1:00 p.m got here for the appointment. Randoms dogs kept showing up for grooming and they will take them first that because it was walk ins. So why make people make appointments if they are walk ins. Wasting people time

Do not go here. One time had my cousin visiting from the army and completely slipped out turn and had to wait 2hrs before another hr after they skipped us. Another time they kept slowing down our carts to mess around with us. Immature employees working here. Dont say I didnt warn you.

Ive visited this location a few times now. Each time was a ton of fun. Though, our first time was a bit marred by the... race supervisor(?) due to his rather overzealous control over our safety. I absolutely understand the dangers of these karts, and that precautions absolutely need to be made. I feel I am being very reasonable when I say that he was a bit over the top in throttling our speed for silly things like someone not being allowed to pass, or someone taking a corner too quickly (no skidding or drifting happened).The subsequent visits however had no such issues. The staff member responsible for overseeing the races was reasonable, and I never disagreed with a call they made.The atmosphere and the overall experience were absolutely great. The technology they use to place racers is also great, and all your races go on your record for you stats junkies out there.A bit of an expensive outing, but one Id recommend if youre looking for a couple hours of fun!

K1 was super fun. Indoors which is nice during Houston summers. Drinks are super cold. There is something for everyone to do here. Adult and junior electric gocarts. The have a game room area with pool table, air hockey, couple of video games. Conference type room for team building events and a party room. Kids had an absolute blast..

Brought the family out here during vacation for a fun outing. We werent disappointed. Great service and fun.Only thing id ask is to expand their arcade section. When were waiting to be called between races it can be quite timely with little to do.

Nice facility with reasonably fast karts. Sometimes there is a long wait time. Sadly, they do not allow GoPros to be worn on helmets, which is dumb. Track is pretty rough and needs resurfacing but its still fun.

This is my favorite go-kart place in Houston so far. The cars are electric so you dont have to worry about dting of the smell of gas. Just rubber from the drifting since its indoors. The cars are very fast and can literally give you whip lash if you arent careful. I highly reccomend that you go on and buy the 3 race package since it gets addictive fast, and its cheaper than paying for 3 separate races. When you walk in it feels empty because it seems like there arent many people there. But by the time you get on your cart there are easily another 6-10 people on with you. So dont let it discourage you from trying the place out. And dont worry about the helmets they give you a head cover for them to not worry too much about other peoples germs. The price can seem pretty steep at first but its worth it when you consider that each ride is 10 minutes (compared to 5 at most places), the cars are faster than the gas cars, they keep track of your laps and position, and if you choose not to use all of your races you can use them later cause they dont expire. Also you can use them at any K1 location outside of Houston. Overall 10 out of 10

Absolutely horrible! Allowed people of White ethnicity, to come jump in front of my family & friends after already paying them. The staff we were next! 15 mins later that happened! I confronted female cashier who was nice & honest about the deliberate entitled situation that she had nothing to do with.(between the large group & another employee) that let them pull the stunt! The Mgr tried to apologize but offer us 2 more waits (additional 15-30 mins)of races then they let us goNext the possible, head manager or owner came out never apologize an refunded our money as I requested! All & all Im well traveled person & you can race go carts with better tracks ( high slopes) indoor & outdoor for half of these outrageous prices.

We had an awesome time! Definitely check them out if your in the area.

Karts are fast, its plenty of fun. Those who are more experienced with kart racing will have a few gripes. the electric carts seem to use either regenerative braking in the rear or just an electric brake in the motor, theres no actual brakes in the front so that will slow you down some and if you switch from brake to throttle too quickly, youll upset the onboard computer and it will not give you any throttle at all for about half a second. As usual, these places are pricey so Im not surprised at the pricing/per race

This place is awesome. We all had a great time racing and comparing times/finishes. I highly recommend this place for groups and or individuals seeking that little bit of adrenaline/excitement we dont always achieve in our day to day ventures. I think you should check it out! Everyone was super friendly and helpful!

I loved it but it does get pricey real quick. You need to sign up for a membership which is automatically $6 for annual membership. Which is not a bad fee. I have kids so for 2 races for 3 people it came out to $145. I gave it 5 stars because it was fun but if I can rate the prices it would 2 to 3 stars. Ill still go again since technically we have a membership already. It case yall are curious the guy that works there he did say the go karts top off at 50 mph.

Nice facility and friendly staff. The only issue was the lack of competition on the track. Always better to race with other people instead of alone! Another issue is they don’t really allow real racing as they control the speeds on the karts and prefer to limit the distances between karts for safety.

All in all it was great, my only problem is the carts feel to rough
