Its a nice destination. They have a lot of really cute things in their gift store. There are also many scenic overlooks on the trails so If you dont want to pay the eight dollars to go to the top you can still find some really nice views.
This was definitely an adventure worth taking. Unfortunately it was rainy the day we were there, but it still made for a beautiful view of the surrounding area. There are many displays to see and read about Hot Springs and a lot of history to find out about. I really enjoyed it! We drove up from Texarkana and it was a great day trip. Wish we would have planned a couple nights in Hot! Maybe next time.
Not-to-miss 360 degree views of Hot Springs, unadulterated forested mountains, and vicinity. The eagles eye view of just how vast and natural the area around Hot Springs is a delight! One of my favorite things about this little city is the architecture. You need to get a long-distance perspective to really appreciate it.The mass of beige art-deco buildings at one end and dark red brick churches at the other is impressive. The thick forests covering rolling hills as a backdrop just can’t be seen well until you get this high.
Upper observation deck has HUNDREDS of paper wasps all over it. Staff says theyre non-aggressive if you dont mess with them, but apparently they cant get rid of them, because theyre natural animals in a protected park. Definitely reduces the fun factor of this otherwise VERY COOL attraction, but it was still worth the visit. The lower observation deck still has great views, a small museum about Hot Springs, and NO wasp infestation.
I was disappointed when we arrived here. Employees didnt wear their masks correctly despite being a national park. And they dont enforce them for visitors either.Warning signs for bees at the top which we thought no big deal. They should mention that the top is SWARMING with them. Not just a few.. a couple hundred. So we never made it outside.Second level museum was run down, maybe under renovation? Still didnt get to stay long because some of the bees had made their way inside with previous visitors. We have a two year old and it wasnt ideal. The views were great though. Really pretty.
It was fun, Beautiful views. Although the 2nd floor has some water damage and is being remodeled some. For 8.00 Id suggest reading every informative thing they have in the displays and around the windows to get your moneys worth. The gift shop has a ton of reasonably priced great souvenirs. If physically capable Id take the steps inside as much as possible as the elevators are a bit sketchy. But overall the views were great, the displays were informative and youll have to hop in a tub outside the gift shop for a photo op! Also make sure to stop at the bottom of the hill and bring a jug for some healing water! You can fill up as much as youd like. The water is so fresh and cool unlike the HOT springs that are on display at Bathhouse Row.
Today was a cold day with a 45 minute wait to get inside, so we didn’t get to go up this time. It was also very overcast today, which would impact visibility. Usually you can see forever in clear weather. Great history lessons to read about inside, and up top. It’s been several years since we went to the top, and we were looking forward to it.
I’m terrified of heights, but I really wanted to go see this place. It’s really worth it! Very relaxing & we were able to keep a distance from others.
Beautiful drive and walk. We did both! 25 minute wait due to COVID regulations but worth the wait. They offer a military discount which is a nice gesture. The view was breathtaking on the top floor. The history intriguing on the 2nd floor. Gift shop had anything a tourist would want. Highly recommend.
Nice little hike to the top from bathhouse row. Not too difficult. Beautiful views from the third level and a small museum on level two.
Beautiful view. In October, there is a wasp infestation however, they are not aggressive. If you can handle the wasps flying around, go outside and take pics. If you cant ( like me) stay inside and still take picks!
Incredibly run down, mold, sagging ceiling tiles, rust. It seems that none of the cost going up the tower ($8/person) goes into upkeep and maintenance. Gift shop was small with minimal options for souvenirs (probably because theres not much to put on a postcard or magnet as the biggest attraction is the unkept tower).
Had an awesome experience in Hot Springs! So much history and things to see and do! The Mountain Tower was a must for me, the views were amazing. Already thought about planning a return trip on the drive home to Texas!
Excellent views of the entire area and a very reasonable priced gift shop. Paper wasps were at the end of their mating season and had moved in the top floor elevator room, but they didnt seem to bother anyone. I took the stairs up. I dont recommend that lol.
Great place to see the city of Hot Springs. It costs about $8 a person and offer first responders and military discount. I did show them my credentials and was acknowledged as a first responder but did not get the discount. Might have been an oversight. Nice little gift shop at the base. Due to Covid there is a wait outside. We waited approximately 45 minutes.
Its nice. We did not go to the top. To expenses. The gift shop is expensive too. But the drive up is cool.
It is a great view of the mountains once you get on the top. It is worth the visit if you have the time.
Definitely a place you want to put on the list if you are in the area. Drive up is pretty neat - lots of cut-backs!!! They have elevators to the top as well as stairs if you need to get your daily floors in. Gift shop in the bottom has all the usual nick nacks. Good views of Hot Springs.
You can have superb view of hot springs area. It would be awesome during fall time.
Great views, but the wasps are out of control and top of the observation deck there is railing and on top are 5-6 thick wires, so it’s impossible to get a long shot picture without obstruction. Very frustrating!
It was an amazing experience. Super gorgeous View of Hot Springs Arkansas. Its like the empire state building of the Ozarks! I LOVE Hot Springs Arkansas! If your planning to go to this city with a special lady, make sure you take her to one of the Spas/Bathhouses! I think this tower is an amazing place to take the kids or just you and your significant other! Truly beautiful!
Hiking up to the tower 4 miles on a nice day went up in the tower and hike back the mountain
Due to covid protocol, wait time is about 30min to an 1hr depending on the amount of ppl here. Over all it was worth the wait! They have pretty cool things at their shop.
It was such an amazing time!!! The view is awesome!!! Only wish they would have had AC on enclosed floor.
Covid-19 had really affected this attraction with its social distancing. There was an hour wait just to get in to the building to ride the elevator to the top. It looks like a good place, but if you dont have time to just stand and wait, (yes, stand, because they had about 10 chairs for the 100+ people waiting) then skip this and do something else in Hot Springs.
Ok tower. You can see entire city from top. There is a lot to read 2nd floor. I took stairs both ways to avoid crowds and enjoy the scenery. There is an elevator, if you prefer that.
Sweeping view of Hot Springs, fall view will be awesome but end October... Only issue we faced were stinging wasps on the top most level. The first level in the top is covereed with glass and safe. The view is mind blowing!!!
Amazing colors of nature!!! We went there for Thanksgiving with our friends and it was great trip. We enjoyed each day with discovering different places. The mountains have so many colors from green to yellow. You can can take fabulous pictures. Trails are very good and not really hard to climb this mountain. At the top, there are so many picnic table available for you and you can use them. Restrooms are clean and not far away from picnic area. Over all you will love this place and do not forget that it might be cold if you go there for Thanksgiving. Cold breeze was hard on us. Enjoy your trip!
Beautiful views!!! Gigs price. Gift ship was good too. Worth the time and experience. Building needs some updates and maintenance.
Beautiful views! Get there when they open to avoid crowds. Cause they arent enforcing social distancing. Even the guy selling tickets not wearing a mask and they are in a federal public park system. Shame!!
This place was really really cool! And their gift shop also has some pretty cool things. With the new covid rules, youre having to get on a wait list to go inside and go up, but we only waited about 20 mins and it was pretty nice up there.
Lots of information about the National Park and the town of Hot Springs. The tower has great views. The car ride up was also cool.
Although we love this experience, we were disappointed one of the elevators was out of order which made our trip to the top much longer because we had someone in our party using a wheelchair. If they are open, it would be great to be FULLY FUNCTIONAL.
Great views, a little scary up top, it seems like the tower moves.Gift shop on the bottom.
Wasps on 3rd floor is an understatement. The 2nd and 3rd floors are inundated with wasps. We have a small toddler so we didnt want to stick around long. The scenery was beautiful for what its worth.
I enjoyed reading the details in museum although it was rather whitewashed. The gift shop cashier Dawn needs a refresher course on customer service and better masking her low tolerance for people of color and how to properly give change to a patron.
The Hot Springs mountain tower is a good attraction but it is a bit over priced. The $8 per adult price seems to be a bit much just to go to the top of a tower (the views are great). The gift shop is the best feature especially if you hike up to the mountain tower and need a little break in AC during the summer time. The staff at the Mountain Tower are very friendly and really helpful.
Great views, but rather rundown. The interior really needs an update and only one elevator was running. The gift shop was well stocked and reasonably priced.
Some of the most beautiful views, and I loved the gift shop!
Was kinda scary in the elevator going up .. You can see out one side as your going up so it adds to the experience for sure .. Once u get to the top they also have a stair case that u can go up then walk out on the roof of the tower .. All i can say is u just have to experince it your self . and at a reasonable price ..
Great view of the Hot Springs region. So. Much to learn on level two.Its time for the Plexiglas to be replaced but other than that its a nice change of pace. We were able to experience clouds blowing through the deck while we enjoyed the cool breeze.
Didnt go up because of short on time, but its nice area and small gift shop inside.
The tower was so much fun! Glass elevator so you can watch everything going up, then the observation deck had a breathtaking view. Even when on a day it was supposed to have zero visibility, the clouds and fog made for a gorgeous view of the town below. They also had a wonderful gift shop full of very unique items. I would definitely recommend!
The maintenance looked like it was history. Everything at the park looked like it hasnt been maintained for 20 years.Im also offended the the only thing for sale in the store was a two year old anniversary mug. This is a National park ( I dont think we are in China).
Great views and the history of the area. The place needs a reno / update for sure as it is showing its age. I was asked when I walked out the front door of this paid attraction ( there is a fee to go to the top of the tower) by a couple waiting at a covered table on the porch, was it worth it? I told her that depends on you. For me the answer was yes. I looked a the views and tried to see the places where I had been hiking the two days before reflecting on all the terrain my family had conquered together. I had read the history of the area as I overlooked and how so very different it had become while remaining the same. For the group of people that came and went in a matter of five to ten minutes - I suppose for them it may not have been worth the price. You get what you put in, just like everything else in life.
Really cool local attraction. Lots of information regarding the history of the area and the geology.
While we were visiting hot spring Park we went to this location. We did not climb the tower since the lift was broken and you had to take a lot of stairs to go up top. I was told that the view from the top is worth it. We had five kids in the family among two families so we decided not to do that. All in all I think its worth a climb if youre in the mood to do so .
Beautiful lookout, brings back childhood memories. Watch tower is super expensive, you shouldnt have to pay to see a beautiful natural and national landscape. But regardless, the guy who rides a bike and works in the gift shop is super nice, and well, thats all I suppose. Just a great place to vacation if you havent seen it once before(:
Good to visit once, maybe more if you want to show it to someone for the first time. The air at the top was amazingly fresh. It actually smelled a bit sweet. Ive never smelled anything quite like it, outside of perfumes. When I think of the smell of truly fresh air, this is always going to be something on my mind.
Nice gift shop in the base level. The enclosed observation floor has a lot of interesting historical information and artifacts. The open observation floor is great for photos and just appreciating the views.
Pretty basic tall tower that gives you a great view or the surrounding areas and a gift shop. Not ideal if you are not friends with heights, but pretty scenery.
Beautiful trail leading to breathtaking views. Be on time because the tower closes promptly.
Amazing view, awesome staff.
Great views and hiking! Enjoyed the climb up there.
Beautiful view(even with the paper wasp) staff was kind and very up front with visitors of anything out of ordinary.
Wasp infestation!!!! There’s a sign that says wasp on 3rd floor but doesn’t let you know the whole time you’re up there you’re dodging and swatting wasp!!! Took us longer to ride the elevator up than to be able to look and obverse!!! A waste of money!!!
Kind of lame. The view from atop was ok, nothing spectacular. Taking the stairs back down instead of the elevator was the most exciting part.
Beautiful scenery. One of the most unique and gorgeous natural parks! Worth the steep trail to get to the tower. Or you can just drive if youre lazy.
The view is amazing! When we went the elevator was not working. Thankfully we had the option to walk up the stairs. We were only in town for a few days and did not want to miss the opportunity It was cold, rainy and windy so a jacket and gloves would have helped out. It took a bit to climb the stairs, mostly because I am afraid of heights. Once we got up to the top, the view was great! There also is a deck where you can go outside. There is also a very nice giftshop with shirts, hats, patches and souvenirs. I would give it 5 stars if the elevator was working. Overall this was great to experience!
The ride up and down can be pretty hot in summer.i love the veiw i do think i feel it move alittle when the wind is getting it ..
Had a great time. Even though it was muggy out the view was nice. It does get windy up on the top viewing area so be aware of that. Currently the elevators are out of service so you do have 230+ stairs to climb (20 flights). The museum up top is nice and informative. Plenty of gift shop items to look at too
Nice view from the top just keep the wind in mind unlike we did
Its always nice to be up there. I always visit it for the truly amazing experience and photos!
They are limiting the amount of people that are allowed in the tower and gift shop, and require masks during your visit (for COVID). You are able to call ahead to find out the wait times. There was an employee at the entrance taking down names for the wait list. When we arrived there was a 30 minute wait, keep in mind that you are waiting outside. They are in the process of renovations and the air conditioner is on the fritz. Other than that it is amazing how far you can see and fun to learn a little about the area.
Really nice Nature experience
Located on the top of the hill. Tower view is amazing, you can view Hot spring town on one side and dense forest on the other side. Good amount of 5-10 min can be spent on the top.On the ground floor, there is a convenient store, where you can get the tickets and trinkets( i felt both little expensive).Tickets :$8 for adult, and different price if you have a group of more than 15 members, and other prices are there too.
Thank you had a great time with my granddaughters.
Great views, friendly staff and good price. Beautiful area and nice places to stop to enjoy the views.
Wasps everywhere on the outdoor lookout. But you can still go to top and stay indoors.Nice views
Was a great view and a wonderful place to experience with your family
Good view. Nice staff.
Nice viewJust wish we couldve went up to the top . The line was too long so we left
Breathtaking views all around. Worth the money and the trip. You can also learn a lot about the area from the lower level of the observation deck.
It’s a fun experience and with a nice view! It’s about $10 to go to the top.
Beautiful well maintained establishment. Definitely a hot spot on weekends. Would advise going during week
One of my favorite places. Crowed atm tho
My daughters tell me the view is great at the top. The hike up from the Prominade the runs behind the bath houses is a steep but easy climb...made it up in about 25 minutes.
Its a beautiful hike and a beautiful view when you are at the gazebo. The tower was closed by the time we got there, so I cant really rate it fully.
Amazing views of surrounding areas
Has a beautiful view from the top but is sadly infested with TONS of wasps at the top. 2nd floor could use some upkeep to the ceiling tiles.
Nice view, and it is free!!
Great views of the whole area, including bath row. Only negative is the large number of wasps in the observation deck.
Excellent views, be sure to check out the mini museum, just below the top deck
Best view in Hot Springs. Enjoyed the winding road up. Drive SLOWLY. Would enjoy view from picnic areas if warmer. Still good photo ops. FYI if the pking lot is full dont freak out when road starts bk down. There will be a loop bk.
Excellent information. Nice gift shop.what a view!
Breath taking is an understatement
Didnt go up but a great view from the covered owning
Beautiful view... Glass elevators..... History displays from hot springs @ top.... Gift shop.... Trails run from hot springs up....... Pretty sharp incline.... drive to the free parking lot even if only for the view 8$ adults and kids 4$ to go up the tower...... Pretty good discount for groups of 15 or more.... Super friendly staff
Love seeing Hot Springs from above and afar. Seeing the scope and looking at the history of the city on a micro scale is a fun addition to the overall experience of a visit to Hot Springs. Plus, the drive up is nice and there are trails below to explore. Go up to the tower and youll be glad you did.
Great overview to see the entire area. A bit pricey to go on up, but thats the cost of maintenance for such a view. Would recommend the free option right down the hill as well.
This tower gives a good view of the town and it’s not too crazy expensive. I’d recommend it
Nice hike up and awesome views....didnt go up tower there was a one hour wait but it was Labor day weekend...
For a good workout walk up the outter stairs!
Its great experience, charged 8$ per person to go up via elevator. Very informative if you wanna learn more about history. Variety of souvenirs they sell.
Was a great place to see the Hot Springs from above!
Great views of Hot Springs and surrounding area. Lots of information.
Great view and gift shop. Worth the beautiful hike.
Great hike but each path is fairly steep although not very long in distance. The tower is worth the climb but you can also drive to the top. If you want to take the elevator to the top it’s like $7-8. There are really nice views on a good day and on the floor under the observation space there is another level that has a lot of interesting information about Hot Springs that you can read.
