We had an amazing time here at the beginning of September. The interactive displays were fun for the adults and teens. The facility is very spacious so social distancing was not a problem. A lot of the exhibits are hands on but there are many sanitizing stations set up throughout and the workers were cleaning diligently. I would definitely recommend this museum if you are in the Hot Springs/Lake Catherine area. Dont forget to walk the Dinosaur Trail and play in the tree tops!

A hidden gem! This place was absolutely a wonderful time. I know it maybe weird to think about going to a hands on place during this time, but they have plenty of hand sanitizing stations and employees who disinfect between each use at every station. We went around 2:30 and closed the place down at 5:00. There were maybe 2-3 other families there with us. Lots to do in the a/c, but dont forget to checkout the Dino trek nature walk and the outside trampoline. The bionic area was pretty cool as well. Our kids are ages 10/11/12 and they had a great time. Great way to spend a couple of hours while learning new things.

Had a lot of fun at the Dino-Lites. Didnt realize that you had to pay general admission for the lights. We went later to miss the crowds but then didnt have time to do anything in the museum. If we had to do it again wed go before the lights started at 5 and do stuff in the museum first then do the Dino-Lites.

Greatest museum in Arkansas! Staff are wonderful, exhibits are interactive and fun for all ages, and the scenery within and without is breathtaking. Highlights include the skywalk, a 2 story rube goldberg water based physics delight, a method of safely shocking family members, and so much more. Hand sanitizer was available around every corner, and mask wearing is required. Fun!

Neat place for kids and adults. I went there when I was a kid in the late 90s and it seemed like they hadmore exhibits and fun things to do. My favorite thing at that time was the Tesla area but most of that was closed down or gone on this past visit. Maybe closed due to the pandemic? We still had a great time. My 4 year old is wanting to go back.

We always love going here. A dinosaur trail is now there. One very difficult up hill and down hill and one track moderately easy walking track, located outdoors. So many neat things to tinker with and see. If you love science and your kids do, its always a must go to place for us.

This place is absolutely amazing! Its huge and interactive. They made it even larger by utilizing what is outside as well with the tree house like structure and the dinotrek. This is a great place for both kids and adults. They kept my kids (six and nine) thoroughly entertained...we had to drag them away from exhibits! There is a great gift shop and cafe for coffee, water and snacks to ride you over.

Amazing fun for a hot humid day. Wearing mask inside is a must but at least they have the air on making it pleasant. The dino trek outside is so AWESOME with the sounds and clean trail. Snack bar is closed so bring some water with you. Very few exhibits were closed but even my 9 yr old understood the reasoning on why so be understanding. Take coins to feed the coy and huge turtles. And enjoy this interactive fun. Adults loose the pride and bring on the childhood fun cause this place is where its at. Go forth and enjoy!!

The museum itself is awesome. The exhibits are fun to interact with. They discriminate against people with disabilities that require them to not wear a mask and the lady at the register was very rude. Even tho i had paperwork from the ADA stating that they recognize my disability and approved me not having to wear a mask she still forced me to wear a mask after i paid to get into the museum. She had no name tag on and wouldnt give me her name. I drove 2 hours to go there and got treated like dirt. Will not be going back.

Fun place with children. Only problem i have is that if children under an age dont have to wear a mask. As an adult who knows how to sneeze, or not to go out while sick, and getting out knowing the risk you all fear about cv19. I shouldnt as an adult to be forced to wear the mask. Never go back! The staff arent Drs! The state after months are making laws when the deaths are down. Cases arent deaths! Wake up and remember your rights!

Don’t know where my original review went, but I’m willing to post again because of the rudeness of this experience.Went in with a group of 10 (around 7 children and 3 adults.) Everybody was wearing a mask except for myself (due to having asthma) and the ladies at the front desk were absolutely awful to me about not wearing one. When I asked to speak to a manager she informed me in an incredibly condescending tone that “if I was that sick, I didn’t need to be out at this time anyway.” I understand safety measures need to be in place, but the law states people with conditions that don’t allow them to wear a mask are exempt. On top of that, there were others inside the building that had them below their nose as well as down on their chin. I don’t care how somebody else wears a mask, but if they’re going to enforce this so strongly so our entire group needed to leave, then I expect them to have some consistency instead of trying to act like doctors and recommend me not going out in public.I go to hot springs once a year with my family, and I will not return to this location.

You like kids going wild? Kids running everywhere? Kids touching stuff? This is the place to be. They have plenty of things kids can play with and explored, from shocking themselves to touching rocks or if they want try to break a rock. Theres is shows for everyone to see, and if they like dinosaurs just walk the trail they have outside or look at fishes in the pond. If your kids arent afraid of hight theres at net they can walk across on where the sky walk is. Just remember keep an eye on your kids because theyll go wild doing things.

If you have a kid, think like a kid, are a kid at heart, love science, think you might like science and you have a thinking mentality THIS is a must go to when in Hot Springs!Dont miss the Tesla show. Its so much fun education about electricity and history. Bring your camera to the show but turn the flash off and leave drinks and food outside. We are a couple (50 & 67) without children in tow. We were there about two hours and had an absolute blast. Even stepping side when children wanted to do what we were doing at the moment didnt bother us a bit. Fantastic science museum and certainly one of the highlights of our weekend Hot Springs visit! Its definitely geared more towards kids, but we had a blast running around like little kids exploring everything. Every exhibit has a hands on learning approach. We really enjoyed the stop motion movie maker, tree house overlook (it has a name but I cant remember what), Tesla show (you pay a little extra), water physics feature, Arkansas mine tunnels, and paper airplane station. We wish could have gone into the tinker workshop, but it was closed so that was a bummer. Overall, this museum is well thought out and lots of fun for kids of all ages.

Hands-on science exhibits have very little intelligence behind them. Theyre not designed to help the user understand what is going on. For example, in the tornado exhibit, there could be physical clues showing the contrasting air masses and the low air pressure region to better demonstrate how those three interact to help form a tornado.
