A great track with great views of the Hard Rock hotel. Placement golf is a premium here. Put the ball where it needs to be to set up the next shot. Dont be too aggressive or you may pay a high price. Cindy is in the clubhouse and shes the best bartender in town. A great facility with impeccable locker rooms, a driving range, putting green and great Staff All Around. You cant go wrong at Emerald Hills.
The main thing I look for in a business is professionalism and kindness. The assistant manager Tiffany is exactly that. She communicated effectively and patiently. She treated me as a prospective neighbor and with friendliness and kindness that is rare these days. The entire team works together well. Thanks!
Went to this course yesterday 9/26 with my friends on a bachelor party. Travis at the front desk was awesome but every other staff member was super rude for some reason, not sure if we did something wrong. The older men that were the cart attendants were grumpy and difficult. They kept yelling at us for little stuff and wanting us to go play before our tee time. We had to wait to even get a cart and the range was closed because of rain? It rains everywhere in Florida and I’ve never seen that. Overall really bad service that made for a disappointing experience.
One of my favorite Golf courses. Jeremy was great! He was so helpful And attentive. My friends and I always have a great experience here.
Played there this morning. Was the most expensive course I have played all summer, and with out a doubt IN THE WORSE SHAPE. Tee boxes were terrible, fairways had all kinds of weeds and greens were average at best. I was told this was one of the best courses in Broward - FAR FROM IT !!!!I went and gave Emerald Hills another try. The back nine was in much better shape. I love the layout - still just needs some work - overpriced for the summer time. Did change my rating to 3 stars.
Absolute dog track. Place is far from maintained.
Tough golf course that is in great condition with friendly staff and competitive rates. One of the best golf courses in Broward County!
Played this course while on vacation from Virginia and I have to say it was a blast! Felt welcomed as soon as we arrived to the course, Richard picked up our clubs and Travis and Matt took good care of us in the pro shop. Course conditions were great and the greens were really nice. My husband really enjoyed the layout of the golf course as well. Lots of wildlife and natural beauty. Honestly can’t understand the reviews that say the course is in horrible shape. Simply not true!
Emerald Hills advertises its the longest course in Florida and they are probably right...Nearly 7700 yards from the back tees this course is challenging but not hard...Its has multiple tee boxes for all levels of play but an errant tee shot can spell diaster...They overall course layout is good and enjoyable...Richard who was part of the inside staff was enjoyable and professional but the outside cart staff could use some polishing up...They were just a bit brash and could probably use some extra training on how to interact with the general public but overall this experience was favorable...
One of the nicest tracks in South Florida, very difficult and long, but it’s very well-maintained. The staff here are super friendly and attentive, and we had an overall great experience. Would recommend anybody staying in South Florida looking for a great course to play
This was a Hey, lets play some golf decision. Mistake! Checked out the website and the pics looked good so this was the chosen course. Well, the pics must have been from another era because the course was not in the same condition. Greens were patchy brown, many many ball marks that people did not repair, fairways eh. Nothing special at all.
This was the first stop on our golf vacation and it was super disappointing. The course itself is super rough. I genuinely feel like the other reviews on here are not open and honest enough OR their expectations are low because they are not an accurate representation/reflection of this course. I’m writing this review in hopes that the course will improve or that someone else won’t waste their time and money on this below par course. We also got stuck behind a giant group that the course did not let off at good times because 20 some people were taking up 3 holes, leaving the last 4 holes with no one on them. We left after waiting for 30 minutes at one hole and the course would not refund us. Never going back here. Don’t waste your money. Not worth it.
Great and friendly service. Gorgeous and challenging course, still playable and fun for beginners also. Excellent rental clubs. Nice experience.
Looked abandoned yesterday, June 2, 2020. Tragic state compared to a year ago.
Weve been all over south Florida this trip and these folks have been the most hospitable. Attentive, yet very chill...I like it. The clubhouse is old school and classy. Staff is excellent. Food is solid. The course is in good shape. Greens are decently fast. GREAT experience!
Was playing with my aunt and wife and even though we finished the course in 4:15 the marshall was following us non stop, not enjoyable... and the course is ok at best, not worth the money
Good layout and pretty good conditions. Enjoyable to play.
This course, we stopped at as the reviews weren’t back and I was really interested in the 7800 yards from the tips as I like long courses. How ever, the majority of the holes on the front 9 were moved up to hit from the men’s senior or all from the women’s tees. One par 3, was playing at 75 yards. The course was in terrible shape, and extremely over priced. To make matters worse, they let a group of 24 tee off at the same time which slowed the round horribly. 3 hours to play 9. We paid for 18 but left after 9. Over all what a terrible experience, avoid this course at all costs unless your looking for a beater course.
Great golf course, great general manager Jen, bartender Cin and all the rest.Best choice
Great golf course well hidden secret.
The food is good! The location offers views of the area which are peaceful and serene....beautiful trees and plants. A great place for any event. Be sure to request Jules ad part of the wait staff!
Fantastic challenging layout. In its prime probably 5* plus but just suffering from what looks like a bit of investment. Would defo play again and at $25 whats not to like.
Fantastic public course. Not easy whatsoever, but kept in beautiful condition.
Great course. Well kept
It’s great love it
This course is sweet. 7800 yards from the tips. Its the real deal. Enjoy
The best golf course in all of Broward County
The greens are being treated but in good shape, they are offering a very nice discount right now, its been raining alot so paths only, but a nice course, the staff in all departments was freindly and helpful.
Great layout. Greens are terrific. Some tee boxes need tweaking but are very good overall. All the recent rain, the past two and a half weeks have been nothing but rain, has not allowed the course to drain and dry out. Cart paths only 2 weeks in a row. Cart paths only on 4 holes today. If you get a chance, play this course. One of the better ones in south Florida.
Loved the course. pro shop, starter restaurant and on course beverage service is great. Amy was great
Nice and difficult course. Very nice people at the pro shop!
The club is in the worst Ive ever seen it its mediocre-at-best
Love this course, like the distance to, very challenging
I like this golf course because Ive been playing there for more than 15 years. It is long, in fact the longest golf course in Florida being over 7800 yards. The place has been run down in the last year or so with the tee boxes being covered in more sand than grass. The greens, which were probably some of the best and most difficult greens and all of Florida are covered with ball marks of people who dont fix them. The course has a great deal of potential but the management must not be the best. Still a good course to play and I recommend it highly.
Very average course for this area of Florida. Great staff but the condition of the fairways, especially the second cut was subpar. I played in an outing, so perhaps it the pricing is discounted to match the overall conditions and playability. Only worth checking out if its a good deal. Lots of FL wildlife.
This is a favorite place to play for us. With their players card it is very affordable and the condition overall is very good and very much above average. The staff treats us very well and are accommodating. Easy to get to also.
Very relaxed...great service...friendly
They need a better ground keeper, the complete course is like first cut ruff even the fairways and tees. Its a beautiful lay out but it needs TLC.RESTAURANT IF GREAT, BUT IS A GOOF COURSE.
Loved this course, so scenic holes and very challenging doglegs right and left, hit every club in the bag so good variety
Great course. Lots of water
Visited for Holiday Party. Id give it 4 stars but the facility seemed dated. The catering was amazing and the service was actually worthy of 4 stars.
The Club at Emerald Hills, rated 4-1/2 stars, is home to a championship golf course that ranks with some of the best in Florida. This tree-lined and open parkland layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. A must play if you are in the area.
Nice greens, friendly staff. Not very crowded. Great challenging layout.
My lunch was very good. The server (Cindy) was excellent. The club and dining area are immaculate and tastefully decorated. This is a great resource for the neighborhood.
Great golf course. More difficult than my normal course but fun to play. Though the greens at my regular course are in better shape.
Good shape, tough greens
Very good course, not in pristine condition but much better than most courses in southern Florida. Pretty challenging course with well trapped greens that have some serious slope. 8 sets of tees from 4500-7800 yds. Add the high end clubhouse and my wife and I will definitely be back.
This golf course is great! Very difficult when is windy greens are in great shape and fairways too.
Best lay out in south Florida, my friends and I really enjoy every time we play here. Cant wait to be back
All the staff was fantasic and course was in great shape.
Very nice place. Great course design. Staff super nice.
Really nice and challenging course. Landscape was beautiful and the greens and the fairways were in great shape. Staff was very helpful and the clubhouse was top of the line!
Nice course... A couple of challenging holes. Clubhouse has good food and drinks.
Very challenging course and friendly staff!
Great course layout, greens were a little slower than I expected, great overall experience.
Course in very good shape for April and friendly staff
Good golf course and scenery
Stuck up guy working the front desk. Didnt have a tee time and because Im a young professional he shrugged me off and said its $79 to play here (in a demeaning tone). Then he said itll be tough to get out there we have 120 members like that an accomplishment. I talkedto the starter and he got me out there eventually. Shot a 71. Course was well maintained and in good shape. Thats the only reason they are getting any stars
Great course. Reasonable rates. Good spacing between groups. Challenging track.
One of the best golf courses in Broward for sure, summer rates are the best. You cant get any better than this. Longest golf course in Florida
Great course and worth every penny! Played the Emerald Hill course many times over several years whilst living in Miami. Best course in South Florida and very good golfers will be asked serious questions about their approach play. Easy part is finding the green, the most difficult is getting off, the greens are lightening fast and undulating. Forget your long game, bring your short game!
Very Poor Condition. On the first par 3There was a dog taking a dump on the green. I use the long tees and the grass was as high as my ball on the tee box. No coffee in the restaurant before the round no water on the course to drink and no cart girl. I was disappointed because I had heard good things.
Nice course and friendly staff. Pretty challenging
Excellent shape green good and fast.
The course was in great shape and a good challenge
This course used to be the best course in South Florida about three years ago but it just isnt the same anymore. Disappointing on many levels. In summary:Pros:Fun layoutCons:Called to make tee time, how are your greens? Theyre in great shape!GPS on cart didnt workDriving range tee area is horrible, like hitting out of the roughGreens on the front 9 are not good, patches of dead green everywhereGreens on the back are only okNo water cooler anywhere on the course. Thirsty? Not importantMany tee boxes are over grown, so high the grass has flowersAsk for water on the turn to the cart guys, nope, got to go into the barI hate to leave a review like this but this is the third time this year weve given this track a chance but it was STRIKE THREE for us.Weve concluded its one of two things, either they need to fire their superintendent, or they just dont have the financial backing to keep the course in good shape anymore. Either way I dont know how anyone would pay $150 or more to play this track. In the shape its in (April 2015) its a $50 track at best.I really hope this course finds new life, its such a great challenging course, its just neglected.
Enjoyed the whole experience. Course, food and service. Thank you.
Gorgeous venue!Long live the Breedens
Its OK. Why? ...because when you live on Miami...there are so many amazing options that this club seems a little dated. Its a nice place.
One of the best courses in S Florida. Greens lightning FAST.
Great course. Offers at least 5 tee boxed for many levels. Friendly staff, Ill definitely be back.
Beautiful Golf camp, great staff, price moderate, the clubhouse with a nice facilities and cool lunch and fabulous brunch..the Pro Shop with a nice brands.. .I like the Club History. ..
Love this track and the people are awesome!
Nice golf course
Tough but very good golf course. In my top 3 in South Florida.
Defiantly a golf course for a skilled player, the greens are always fresh and the staff is very helpful I would recommend visiting this place.
Nice course friendly staff would recommend playing.
Great staff, challenging track
Nice golf great club house
Super nice course, great staff!
Great golf course!!!
Great course
Nice course
Great Club to play. Been playing there for over 15years
Cart died, golf course in bad condition 8/19/2018. Rather pay a little more and have a better course
The best golf course I have played in Florida. The greens are fast like a PGA tour event. The course is so beautiful and well maintained. Cant wait to go back and play. For anyone in the Fort Lauderdale area, I would highly recommend this course.
