Very overpriced for what you get. Club rentals were expensive and seriously bad quality. First 5 holes were so unplayable it was just too wet.

Always enjoyable. Plenty of wildlife, iguanas, japanese geese. Definitely recommended if you want to have some fun.

They had made some real progress with the course conditions here over the past year or so, but as of May 30 it was mostly back to poor shape. Dried-out turf, many bald spots and weeds in fairways (see photos). Greens are really rough. Sad to see.

A little run down but the bond that passed is supposed to improve the course. I love the course, an old timey classic

Very soggy conditions after the wet weather. When I played here a week ago only 8 of the holes were open. The staff were very friendly here though!

Golfed today at what in the pictures looked like a great course. Traveling from NY so I had to rent clubs so it was just under $90.Well...... the clubs were a set of Wilson clubs with a driver that was an inch and a half short than normal in what had to be senior flex. The longest iron was a 6 and there was nothing under a PW. They paired me with a lefty so borrowing was no option. It was terrible.The course was brown, greens as solid as the cart path and the 4 some in front of us played minimum of 2 balls each shot. I left after 9 holes.would have given just one star but the staff was friendly.

I had a good round and nice time not bad for 20 bucks

As far as convenience, location, and price, it’s hard to beat Hollywood Beach Golf Club. The classic 1920’s Donald Ross course design is a fun challenge. Pace of play is fast. Service is great.It could benefit from improved greens conditions, but heard they are renovating the property soon. Looking forward to what’s to come. Won’t find a better value East of Federal or 95 in south florida.

Staff was kind and helped me get onto the course as soon as i arrived. Unfortunate the course was not in the shape i expected it to be. Fairways were mostly weeds and clovers, which made almost every lie a bad lie not to mention they were hard as rock. i found that hitting in the rough was most enjoyable. When that is being said you know it was bad. People were playing through without even playing the hole and while i was keeping a very good pace of play they slowed it down to where it took me 2.5 hours from hole 11 to 18. They wouldnt let me play through either once they passed me and slow played through the better half of the back 9. Hard fairways, choppy greens, and poor course management.

Played 18 holes...as far as location ...great...but...fairways are very hard and all greens were very sandy...staff very nice...2.5 stars...

PLEASE DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE!When I say this course was wet, picture playing a round of golf in a river with a couple spots of green on each hole. Worst experience on a golf course. Mud everywhere, I don’t think this course has been maintained in 30 years. It didn’t even rain the day before. It’s ridiculous. Please if you are reading this DO NOT play this course!!!!!

This course is in such poor shape. Lots of dried-out turf, tons of bald spots and the greens are really rough. This is a sad sight to see.

Not the best place to play in Florida but it gets the job done

Playing from the senior (green) tees its @5300 yards. Easier than it sounds.Very challenging water, tree and sand diversions on this 1924 course.Courteous and helpful staff. Thanks to Dave and Steve starters for your help. Greens are a bit slow, but challenging.

Overall very nice fairways, tee boxes, rough, found more balls than I lost, 21$ Tuesday afternoon with 2$ beers. Great value in the area.Dont expect a cart girl (at least in off-season?), most greens in good shape 4-5 a little bushy, no driving range.Good quality course, nice guys, cheap, good amount of shade throughout

A must play for me when I am in south Florida. I love its old Florida feel. The course is always in decent shape and provides a good challenge. It is also loaded with interesting wild life. Its a good value for the money. Staff could be a bit friendlier at times.

Very very good

Staff are nice and the course is rather affordable and fairly nice to play. It gets monotonous after the first 9 and pretty soon you realize its the same approach to the green, over and over.Fairways are of moderate width and generally in good condition. There were several downed trees which we attributed to the fall hurricane season but nothing that impeded play.There are almost NO distance markers which grew annoying. Other services like ball cleaning etc were not in working condition either. Its a tired course. There is no driving range to warm up with. That was a bit disappointing too.The transition from front to back 9 is confusing because, again, no signage. But for the price its nice enough play however. A reasonable course for the price but nothing thatll leave a lasting impression.

We visited this place and was very impressed with the staff. They were all so friendly. Everyone was so friendly from the maids to the person in charge. We had lunch on the patio and it was so delicious. We also came back for dinner. They were so kind to us and made us so welcome. The place we went...

After a major storm/hurricane passes through, one week after playing golf is fantastic. These guys did a great job preparing 9 holes for play. Totally enjoyable. Thanks guys.

The course was in terrible condition, tee boxes are uneven and are sparsely covered with grass. Around the greens is rough with virtually any shot giving you a terrible lie. Bunkers were hard as a rock as well. Don’t waste your money here.

Course is worth 40 bucks. Jumpy greens, hard fairways. But, it was the iguana tree that upped the rating by 1 star.

This is one of the best Golf clubs in my opinion.This is a great place to play Golf, and even in the city center. Also pleased with the free Wi Fi.

My rating is based on my stay in one of the rooms, and not the actual golf resort itself. The staff was nice, and my room had a good view of the golf course. The cost of the room was low, especially for south Florida in February, and the location was good, walkable to lively downtown Hollywood. The building was old, and looked a bit dilapidated. The biggest problem was the room smelled terrible. I thought at first it was disinfectant, but it was too strong of an odor. I noticed there were bugs with wings that looked liked termites, and I believe the smell was insecticides. Everything in the room including the noisy AC was old, and there was NO ELEVATOR. I would never go back

Hello GolfersI have been playing Hollywood Beach Resort for over 25 years now and will always play Hollywood Beach Golf resort. The staff is the greatest, the course is extremely deceivingly challenging even for a low handicap golfer and it is as convenient as it gets. Also we need to always support our local business owners. Get out and play

City course. Fun to play . Great pro. Few nice par threes. Few long par fives. Great people in the pro shop.

Good track, still recovering from the hurricane, but certainly playable - the people at the course are very professional and accommodating - would definitely play there again.

The day we played this course, it was in pretty good shape. They did have one green that had burned out grass, but it really didnt affect putting.Now:As a resort, I expected it to be a really nice club, but its more closely related to a municipal course. Fairways are mostly side by side, and on a couple we kinda felt we could really be in danger from the next tee boxes. If youre expecting resort, youll be disappointed, but if you think of a pretty good county / city run muni, youll be pleased with this course.

Stayed here for a 1 night prior to going on a cruise. The bed was very uncomfortable and the rooms are very dated. But overall it was not bad. But would not stay here again.

These guys rolled up their sleeves and put a golf course back together after a serious hurricane. We came down from Delray because everyones waiting for someone else to do at our Muni. Congrats to the management team and the employees, who could not have been more hospitable and friendly. Thumbs up to the HBGC!

Its a challenging course to play. Pro shop personnel could be better

The course was reasonably in good shape except 3 or 4 greens have excessive amount of weeds.The course could allso be better if there was a Marshall working to speed up slow play.They have 4 senior ladie members who play regularly and dont have a clue about course ettiquet and they should let faster players go through.

Just finished my first an last round. On Vacation an had to rent clubs was expecting something a little more then some worn out crap Wilsons for $35. Greens were terrible. Still had fun, however I would not return.

I waited for 1 one hour for check-in. The hotel dont have elevator. The room is really simple. And the internet WiFi is horrible.

Um the course is in terrible conditions. We went to play at 3:30 and the starter picked up all the flags at 4:45 with a hour to play they kicked us out. Not recommended

Greens are like Fairways and course is in rough shape. Still good value for the $20 after 4 deal.
