This was one of our favorite stops as a family on our day-long biking trip! Beautiful waterfront views and a very well put-together park with lots of seating, a very nice playground (with video surveillance), and restrooms. This park is right next to the French Bakery and other good eateries.

I visited this park after getting a delicious pastry and cappuccino at the French Bakery 3 days in a row while visiting HH for the first time last week. This park was a nice place for a short break away from people/crowds. Safe and out in the open even though I did see evidence that someone hopped the perimeter fence near the bathrooms and left a small trail of bottles leading into the water. Females, vulnerable people, etc should always be aware of their surroundings. Overall clean public areas and bathroom. Well groomed and cool art sculpture. I loved seeing all the butterflies.

This is a wonderful place to watch the sunset. There are walking trails, picnic benches and a nice playground for kids. Lots of children, families, teens and elderly enjoying the evening. Several people were walking their dogs. This location is near the marsh and is very peaceful. We saw lots of water birds flying overhead heading to the rookery for the night.

It was so nice walking around the veterans memorial and walking along the marsh land so many birds.

This really nice, a lot of space. Nice views.

Best view of the cove/mash area thats publicly accessable. Great for taking sunset pictures too. Also the bathrooms were really clean.

I really enjoyed walking around with my husband on vacation. We are both veterans so we loved the memorial to Veterans. It was very romantic walking on the trials. We found a swing on the trial. Walking on that trial, sitting on the swing together, looking at the beauty of the trees water and sky was the high light of our trip in Hilton Head.

Very nice playground for kids aged 10 years and below. More shadows would be great, the sunshades are very limited. Kids loved it, and there is plenty of space for them to run in circles.

Great view of the cove and plenty of great eats. Definitely on the pricey side for seafood, $30 entrees can be found here.

Great place to hangout and venture around. Lots of shops and restaurants. Fireworks every Tuesday night from July through August.

Nice community, clean and well kept. So many things to do and see, so worth a visit or spend the day. Restaurants and shopping as well !!!

Clean casual area in Shelter Cove. My wife and I took a leisurely walk there after dinner.

A great little place to unwind and relax. Room for a short run and let the kids play. Afterwards there is ample shopping and plenty of restaurants nearby. All of this with a great view, security regularly patrolling and the place is so very clean. Perfect

Playground, grassy area with folks playing catch, restrooms, gazebo/performance space, walking path around the perimeter, staff member on site keeping it well maintained, nearby shopping and restaurants, and adjacent to marsh. Folks seemed to be enjoying it. Im not sure if pets are allowed-- I did not see anyone with pets. There were sand fleas in the playground which meant we didnt stay too long there.

This is a great venue! Plenty of power hook ups for event vendors, in a convenient location with a nice kids area. The driftwood animals were a family favorite.

Much like the rest of Hilton Head Island, this park is done up moy bonita. Beautiful views west overlooking the marsh. Nice hardscaping, some open lawns and ample bike paths, natch. A really cool play area for the kiddos with plenty of stuff to clamber up, over and around on, including some nifty wooden animal sculptures that adults might find interesting, too.

Great people, restaurants / food, and a nice park with a view

A beautiful place to relax by the water. You can watch the boats go by, the water fowl or children playing all in one spot. Restrooms are available.

Its a very beautiful Park! I went to the oyster festival and I had so much fun! Will definitely go back next year!

The park and its surrounding are very nice, but there isnt any shade over the playground area. I love that they used the soft mat that looks like grass, under the playground. Theres a beautiful fountain, plenty of grounds to play or have a picnic, and its also a nice place to walk. There are plenty of shops nearby for shopping and or eating.

Very well kept. They were trying to for a Latin music festival so we didnt spend much time, but there is a nice playground and easily accessible restrooms here.

Aweaome place! A lot of shops and some nice restaurants. Tuesday night they do fireworks during the summer and Thursday they show movies on a massive screen. Very cool experience! Highly recommend the movie nights!

Had a great time at the Oyster festival. Been coming to it for many years. This is a great venue for it.

A wonderful oasis. Bathrooms, a kids playground, picnic tables along with shaded seating and small tables in adjacent walking area. Next to a variety of high end shops and small eateries. Nice!

A great open space for community events of all types. Just attended the Burger, Beer & BBQ (or Bacon!) event. Venue is wonderful but the event went into darkness, and there was not enough light for the vendors to see what they were doing. Event was combined with the Jeep Island event, which was also nice, but again, the dark. The park is open all the time, but can be closed off for events like this. Right on the water, and great for sunset views, accessible to great restaurants, bars and, retail.

Great find with kiddos on vacation

Quiet, little, out of the way park on the marshy side of the island. Mostly sunny, not quite enough shaded areas for my taste, esp. in 99 degree weather. On my visit some people were preparing for a Menorial Day service of some kind, in the concrete amphitheater area.

Awesome, go on Tuesdays in the summer to watch the fireworks. Get there early and park in the back near the water. Kids had a blast!

This was a great little park to get out and let the kids play. We really enjoyed it. It looked like the kid of place that would host some great community events. Parking was somewhat limited due to the shopping center.

It is a great place to spend a sunday usually there are activities and the restaurants around the park are awesome.

We went to the playground and then stayed for the music by The Headliners, which was fantastic. Very family friendly and also a beautiful setting for a romantic stroll for two while listening to great music!

My wife left her purse in the park for over thirty minutes unattended and came back to it with everything intact. Hard to believe a place like this still exists. Great food and very clean.

Shelter cove is becoming my favorite go to for everything. Theres so many restaurants that toy can easily walk between...we took a stroll among them last time looking at the outside posted menus till we found one that pleased both of us. Theres also tons of cute shops, Kroger, Belks, and of course the Marina. Music and family fun on Tuesdays as well as weekly fireworks. Weve found many restaurants have music on other nights also. Best of all, we can bike there or take a free shuttle from palmetto dunes. Ive also seen where theyve added a trolley from shelter cove to Coligney but we havent tried that yet. 10 out of 10!

One of my favorite parks to enjoy the water views and fresh breeze. They also have someseating and fast WiFi. Food and drink is a short walk away.

A great place for riding bikes, taking a walk, or having a great meal at one of the local restaurants. Parking is not ideal in peak times, but definitely worth a visit!

Great place. Tuesday was a very nice and organized event that took place across the Cove ending in a nice fireworks display.

Worste Vaction Ever Rented through AIRBNB... NEVER AGAIN...RENTED CONDO AT the Hilton Head Resort... Condo had no AC.. rented a condo so we could cook our food instead of eating junk during our vacation. Wasnt able to cook because it was so hot that gave me an awesome head ache.Most of our food was wasted.. Made Reservations through Airbnb... They never tried to compensate us for all the inconveniences that we experienced during our vacation at this Resort

Great place to watch a local concert and have a few drinks at night or take your family to the park during the day. Everyone that was around was very friendly.
