Fun diversion. As you climb the 114 steps to the top you will get a history lesson of the region, from prehistory to the modern era. Lots of interesting displays. Great views from the top. Parking is limited, so be prepared to walk a bit. Admission is a reasonable $4.95 per person. You also have to pay $9 per vehicle to access the area unless you are a resident.

Never been to a lighthouse with so many interesting story boards. Lots of exhibits and different themes on each level. Very cool observation deck. Very friendly staff. Small cost at $4.95 each. Note $9 fee to access Harbour Town. Cool marina and pier nearby.

My cousin spent a couple of days exploring Hilton Head. We had an amazing time and couldnt wait to climb to the top of the light house. Wonderful experience! Loved using the Tower Viewer. Beautiful view of Daufuskie Island. Saw dolphins and birds too.

Didnt actually go in the lighthouse, but walked the surrounding area. Its a pretty marina and a must visit for any golf fan. You can walk to the other side of the marina and watch people finish up the 18th hole at harbour town. Most people in the area had masks on, which was nice to see, but its pretty easy to keep your distance from others near the lighthouse.

Nice place to visit, lots to do, a number of restaurants, shopping. The lighthouse not very tall vist to go up but not much I think 10.00 Sales person at the lighthouse helpful. Vagabond nice boat ride didnt really go anywhere and is not worth what it cost. pricey for what it was so wouldnt recommend that.

Visiting the Harbourtown Lighthouse is definitely worth it for the views. The 114 steps to the top provide unbelievable scenic views and make you think, what can you do to move there immediately!Cost to climb the stairs is $4.95 per person and children under 5 and military are free of charge...

We really enjoyed our visit to the Harbour Town Lighthouse. The history learned while walking the stairs to the top was awesome. Most people were just walking right up the stairs to see the view from the top of the lighthouse(which is amazing by the way), but they were missing out on some interesting history facts about the area. Do yourself a favor and soak up some of the museum portion of the lighthouse before seeing the awesome view from the top. This is a cheap and fun thing to do for the whole family while in Hilton Head.

What a great place to walk around, eat, hear music, shop and have some yummy drinks. A little disappointed with Quarter deck restaurant. Service wasnt that good and the food was just ok. When I looked it up online it looked completely different. The area as a whole was great to spend a few hours.

Least scary lighthouse ever! I have issues with see-through stairs and tight spiral staircases. I always get scared going down in lighthouses like that. This lighthouse has more back & forth style staircases and they have sturdy wood steps. Theres 114 steps! They also have great shops and a fun photo booth.

The Harbour Town Lighthouse was fun to visit. The view was great from the top. Adult entrance charge was $4.95, and you get a wrist band so that you can re-enter. There were history displays on the way up. Be aware that the only way to get to the top is to climb the stairs, but lots of places to stop and take a break on the way up if needed.

I didnt like that we had to pay to enter the place with the lighthouse and then had to pay to go up into the lighthouse. But otherwise its a nice lighthouse. The inside has fans all the way up. Its not as tall as other lighthouses Ive walked up but the view from the top is amazing. The area around the lighthouse is well maintained and aesthetically pleasing. I especially liked the rocking chairs. Theres also a natural beach filled with seashells a few feet away. Though the best part had to be the dolphins.

Cute and quaint little light house. Has a mini museum with artifacts from the area and historical documents on the walls as you go up the steps. A small gift shop at the very top (enclosed) you go out the door for fantastic views of the boats, golf course, new dock and the sunset. They have sanitizer stations for you to use also. Worth the stop if in the area for sure.

It was a great view, very much a tourist trap rather than a museum, but something to do for a relatively low cost of only $5. The surrounding area is full of souvenir shops with a few boutique stores. Its not worth the price to get into Sea Pines for the day, unless you are really excited to see the yachts, golf course, or are bored and have nothing else to do.

The lighthouse is not functional, but gives tourists an elevated view of the area. There is an admission charge to go up. Located in the center of Harbour Town, there are plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and other attractions within easy walking distance. The harbour has a pier with a covered gazebo at the end thats free to the public. There are scores of beautiful boats in the marina some of which can be chartered. Definitely a tourist trap with a lighthouse that was built just for show and a bunch of t-shirt and souvenir shops with a few mediocre restaurants. However it is still beautiful and there are some fun things to do like a pirate boat ride for kids, a really sweet playground, kayaks and Hobie cats to rent, as well as some fun boats to look at. Plus you can take a cruise on Stars and Stripes - a boat that won the Americas Cup (twice!) and the Louis Vuitton Cup in the late 80s. Pretty cool.

Nice hot spot on the island. Very crowded and parking limited. But there is a free trolley service. You have to park very close to a main gate and take a trolley ride. Sea Pines is a very beautiful part of the island. Down side you have to pay a per day access fee of $8 per day to visit if you are not part of the community. Very cool harbor with some cool boats. Come to see the lighthouse... you’ll stay for all there is around it! We loved all the red rocking chairs! A fun area to explore, see boats, let the kids play on the playground, and get in a little shopping.. then relax on a rocking chair with some ice cream . I personally enjoyed the large trees, just an amazing feel to the outdoor space. A nice beach and lots of wildlife to gaze at and relax. We went into the lighthouse to the top and were impressed with the walk up the stairs being an experience of its own... a museum and an amazing view from the top.

Easy registration, fun cruise, friendly staff, and discount coupons at our hotel. Stumbled upon a quaint little cafe on Daufuski Island while exploring in our rented golf cart (apparently, so did most of the other cruisers) It opened at 11, so we were pushing it to get back to the boat on time. That worked out fine because after that meal, we needed a good run. Dont know what the cafe near general store was like, but I doubt they had anything close to the fried fish, salad trio, fried green tomatoes and slab of coconut cake we had!
