Sugarland Run Stream Valley Park

I grew up with these woods in my backyard, and have many fond memories of walking along their paths. With its narrow streams spanned with distinctive concrete stepping stones, the park is a great place to relax and be among nature. The terrain is moderate and all the paths are smoothly paved, so if youre expecting a challenge its better to look elsewhere, but if youre looking for a place to take a contemplative and easy walk then this is the park for you.

Great trail to walking, running or cycling. Beautiful place. Very nice and calm. Trail starts in residential areas and runs through residential areas. Not really a secluded park in the middle of a forest, therefore it feels secure. It runs up and down a creek/river. I strongly recommend for the whole family.

This is a great walk. I walked her many times with family, and now with my new puppy. He loves the streams running through the trail. And we love finding all the fun painted rocks!

I grew up in the mountains and taking gentle walks in the woods is part of My Soul and Spirit. The walk in this Woods even though its on asphalt is so delightful, The Crickets, the frogs, the birds, the flowers, I cant wait to come back. The bridge with little walkways acrossed it Im used to fording a stream with my feet and getting my sneakers wet. LOL I can assure you that this is a far better way to cross the Stream. Hidden. Makes it all better.

Great place to bring your dog for an extended walk. Lots of trails to explore.

Its a beautiful trail covered with trees mostly, making it pleasant even when the sun is bright. There arent too many people using it all the time, so it doesnt feel crowded. The entrances to the trail are non descript and might take some effort to find.

Trek? Easy trails? Gorgeous views? Yes to all! This is a gorgeous park, NOT TOO FAR FROM THE CITY, 20 minutes from Reston! Parking is super easy and lots of spots. Multiple trail lines leading up to the beautiful waterfalls and the river as well. Come here for a day of family time with picnics and lots of nature time

A beautiful trail in Herndon with a nice stream running through it. There is also a basketball court within the trail.

Very nice path all the way asphalt. You can also bike. Be careful about winter time and/ or during or after very rainy days, because there are few creeks ( one of them actually is almost size of a little river). Passing across those creeks would be impossible, or at least very challenging during flooding time.And, you may see lots of animals!

Right in the heart of Herndon is this nice walking trail or you could ride your bike here too. The paved path meanders along the stream, and there are two spots where you cross over on cut logs. There are a number of access points to the trail, including off the W&OD bike trail.

Great local park. paved trails. lots of fun little stream crossings. plenty of shade from trees on both sides. no trash cans.

Is a beautiful place love the hiking my kids and dog love it.

Very calm, beautuful

Really fun asphalt-paved trail. Walked 1.3mi down and then back with our two young kids and had a blast crossing the stream and looking at the wildlife (including one copperhead :).

Great walks

Its behind a neighborhood. Nice for the most part. Bring shoes you dont mind getting dirty and bug spray.

This is an excellent trail that actually goes several miles into Herndon. We like to park near duck donuts, walk several miles on the trail and then catch an Uber back to duck donuts!

Great covers walk on paved trail. You can walk through the stream as well.

Its a beautiful bit of nature right inside Herndon. In minutes you can escape outside of the craziness of the city for a little while.

Beutifull nature water Creek Park

One of my favorite jogging spots in the neighborhood. It has some spots that you have to step on stones to cross a stream. So maybe not wheelchair friendly...but a bike can do it, and your pets can also of you dont mind getting their paws wet

Not to busy love the stream crossings beautiful spots where you cant see a single home or building, some areas where someone dumped plastic trash near a multi unit housing but other than that awesome place to walk the dogs.

Great park! They feature free live music each Thursday during the summer with a variety of music types. Excellent place to play basketball, tennis, and baseball. Lots of room to run a dog.

Nice place..but be careful with Snakes and animals sometime it would crossed ur path..

Dunkin Doughnuts... ugh... are still tasty. FedEx is right there too, but its not 24/7 which is a pain. Sometimes I need to fax something, or I run out of toner, thats when I need it open. Oh! And the one McDonalds WITHOUT a drive through. But, its been here since I was a kid... so it got a star for the feels.

Living next to park is a blessing. This is a beautiful park & trial. The trails have running water small streams of river.
