Favorite park to walk the dog.Its his fav too. Lots of room, but dogs must be leashed no matter the size. Perfect to picnic, play ground for kids and sandbox area. Very clean bathrooms!
The trek up this hill on foot was tougher than the majority of all the various hikes Ive ever been on. But with the Hayward hills now being the Hayward hill-houses, there are very few spots to enjoy looking out over the city and across the Bay anymore.Thankfully the view from this park, which is atop Hayward Blvd, is vast, beautiful, and serene; and therefore worth the 60-90min(skill level) walk.
You can go here at all hours of the night (technically, you cant but no one stops you). This park is special. You can see most of the bay area from this area alone. Sometimes, I like to sit one of the many benches there and just think about life over such a great view.
So glad that this park is right up the street from my house. I walk my dog here just about every day. The City of Hayward keeps it clean and well maintained. It feels safe here. Views are beautiful when the air quality isnt bad in the Bay Area.
4-stars just for that beautiful view of the bay. Recommend coming here on a clear sunny day!
The best sunset I have ever seen in n my life
Its a beautiful park!! And with a nice view!! There was more people than expected, more than other times I visited before.
I loved it my kids and me it was fun thank you
Always clean, very nice park, and beautiful views. BUt on hot days not Enough shade over the benches.
Wide open space, people flying kites, college kids kickin it, folks enjoying the sunshine with their family and pets...This place was very nice!
Very small park but nice veiw. Would have gave it 5 stars if it was bigger
It seems to have gone downhill(pun intended). When we were there yesterday, a bunch of young people were acting rowdy and cursing heavily, even though my young children were present. I dont think well go there again for awhile.
Great park to have a picnic, beautiful views, relaxing
So much greenery, hardly had any trash on the ground, and very quiet during the middle of the week. Lovely place for a spring picnic!
Such a nice hidden gem in the Hayward Hills in our neighborhood great view of the Bay and a great walk in a very clean park with barbecue pits and benches throughout the parks landscape. Only negative is that the bathrooms were closed and locked up.
I always bring my son and sisters here. My Dog loves it too. Sometimes really nice to see deers. Other times, the beautiful fog enveloping the SF City Peninsula side
Great park with a gorgeous view of the bay.It was a playground separated by age and a water fountain. It also has several tables and a couple of grills. It doesnt have much shadowed areas but its also never crowded so you can almost always find a spot that works.Parking is available on the streets and often there is plenty spaces open.Make sure to bring your own drinks and snacks if you are planning to eat here as there arent many amenities close by and youll have to drive 10 minutes to get anything you need
Very nice park for small children (playground or bike riding), family picnics, and dog walking. Beautiful views. Lovely landscaping. Drinking fountains and public bathrooms.
Quiet..clean and very nice view of bay area...
Nicely maintained park with beautiful views across the bay. Only a few covered picnic spots but there is a sandbox with water fountain that the kids can use to make sandcastles with meats and lakes. Standard play equipment (swings, slides, etc). Fully functional toilets with running water. Theres also a nice oval walking path the length of the park. Parking is limited to the street, save handicapped spaces next to the toilets.
Must park on street. Only handicap parking inside.
Great views of the city
Fresh landscaping and clean restrooms.
Very nice clean and safe park with awesome views looking out to the Bay, you can see upto the city on a clear day, picnic table and grills and a kids play structure are there, parking is off the street and always available, has restrooms too.
Cause its so comfortable.
Excellent very clean and quiet. my babies have a lot of fun.

Sunsets are beautiful!
Very relaxing... highly recommend!
The views are incredible! Nice neighborhood park and the best thing...bathrooms are clean
This is the cleanest park I’ve ever been to. The grounds keepers are almost always there manicuring the lawn and the bathrooms are so clean! This park has a spectacular view of the Bay and has three different picnic areas to barbecue. The best part is, it’s never crowded! Some rules : Dogs must be on a leash. No Jumper’s, No smoking or drinking
Great view .Nice and clean park .Some rides and swing for kids also.
Sandbox area is fun for the children there is also a water fountain we love it. Love the view!!

Really nice, well-tended park in a nicer part of Hayward.
Breath-taking views, quiet and peaceful park.
Beautiful, clean, lots of open space & great view. A tiny playground for kids. Not much to do, just for relaxing.
Calm and peaceful place for a walk or kids activities. Sunsets are very beautiful here.

J. A. Lewis was my late father in Law. He was born in Siberia (Krasnoyarsk) in 1898 and immigrated to the United States arriving in Sitka, Alaska circa 1916 via Yokohama harbor. For many years he had a market at 10th and Washington in Oakland “Lewis Dried Fruit.” He was known as Yaya by his family and donated land he owned in San Francisco for a synagogue in honor of his wife Rose Grossman. Their youngest son, Emanuel Raymond (Ray) Lewis, my late husband donated these ten acres in Hayward to honor his father, an immigrant. America was truly the land of opportunity for Jacob Abraham Lewis (née Lanis) and his family. He and his son Ray returned this gift of opportunity by donating land both in San Francisco and then in Hayward to preserve the American dream.
Stunning views of the bay
I love this park. Great views of San Francisco and Oakland on a clear day.
Beautiful park with great views
Good park...But parking is available on the street only...
Beautiful views from the west side of the park! Always seems to be fresh grass here as well.
Great place
Its one of my favorite spots in Hayward to watch the sunset. The park is pretty small but the view is decent.
This park is very clean and offers a great view of the Bay Area.
No tables, no shade, no big trees
Great views, well maintained, people visit from all over. Not a lot of parking..
Beautiful park thats intimate with amazing views
Night of the supermoon. & guess what AGoogleUser, it aint Thug Free! We like the sunset too ...
Decent Park not the best sunset view though
A gorgeous small park with great scenery, good for walking short distance. No parking lot.

Beautiful view
Its missing more seats and shade small Park not good for parties in the summer
Quaint and inviting
Good view
There is no shade; the grass is thick uneven and the kids do not want to play in it :(
