Its a little on the smaller side, but its just right for being in the middle of a residential neighborhood. They have BBQs and a covered picnic table area that is available to reserve for private parties. There are also restrooms. Scattered throughout the park there are benches and more picnic tables. There are a lot of trees so there is plenty of shade.
Lovely park. Small but has covered sitting areasBathrooms are clean. Few parking spaces . the neighborhood is great deals safe
Used to be a great place in Hayward CA. To get blown.
Alot of space and room for hiking but could do well with more fun stuff for kids.
I went looking to score some honey but there werent any bees. So I ordered 10,000 bees on aliexpress and they be here in 8-12 weeks.
A place to rest for fresh air break.
Almost literally stumbled on this park. Ive lived in the area almost 3 years and had no idea it was here. Its secluded and adorable. Picnic tables and a playground a couple little walking trails. Perfect respite from cement suburbia.
Hidden raw Gem of a park that is just one side of the Japanese garden area, so its always nice to incorporate this area is well for a day trip. The same Creek runs through this park as it does the adjoining Japanese garden.
Is closed but still calm nice walk
Would be a nice spot to take the kids or have a BBQ/birthday party.....But the homeless do camp there and its not safe. Its sad I understand they have nowhere to go. But my daughter saw a needle near the swings so we left. Too bad because it could be a nice quiet location. The city of Hayward needs to step up and help people on the street so we can have our parks back.
A park Ive taken the kids to quite often. Its usually pretty empty, but it is also a little old. Can be well shaded in the summer, but in the colder and wetter months it can be a bit yucky.
Its so peaceful and serene
Nice quiet park. It has a stream running through. Assorted picnic tables, and childrens playground. One draw back is the restrooms are closed now. It has a multi table picnic area with roof that can be reserved.
This is a sweet quiet out of the way park that is a wonderful stroll with tall trees. I usually feel just fine there but from time to time there are folks who make me feel less than 100% relaxed. If thats you, take a friend or your dog with you. Well maintained. Theres a private place over the little bridge near the restrooms.
Park is a great place to brink the ol lady for some bbq.! And to see the chef
Cool little neighborhood park along Hayward/ Castro Valley border. Great place to chill an let the dog out!
Great night people
My nephew got married today it was a great day good people good food very special, the covered area kept it cool.
Im not sure, but I hear starting Memorial Day, the parks department will start opening and maintaining the restrooms for the season. Low traffic regional park, dog walkers, small kids use the playground. Multiple entrances on foot, one parking lot on Grove Way. BBQ grills a plenty. Wildlife, waterfowl, 4 leggeds, and a bunny.
Its beautiful and quiet. its nice to sit and listen the breeze and the birds singing. good for meditation
Beautiful Japanese garden design in a secluded and peaceful place.
Its a small park along a creek. Its got a picnic pavilion and a couple other tables with grills. If the water is low, you can cross the creek and reach the Senior Center and Japanese garden.
Majestic. Cozy and enchanting. Paved walkway and dirt trails through hilly woods with a nice classical playground and ample picnic tables and giant gazebo next to restrooms. Beautiful natural Coyote Creek is totally Kissable. XOXO CARLOS BEE!
Its a fun park with access to the creek. The issue here is homeless people tend to use this as a portal to the homeless dimension located in the depths of Hayward. The best part of the park is its access to the Japanese gardens.
Kinda lame
Nice hideaway. It has some slides for kids, but no swings for little kids.
A hidden Glen in the middle of the city of Hayward. A great place to kill a few minutes with the kids.
My kids love it. So does my knees cause I get to sit.
Not alot people know of this place.
Little gem. Quiet on weekdays
Quite neighborhood park. I didnt have any problem as other reviewers. Yes, there were a couple of people sleeping and a couple of teens hanging out but Ive never felt unsafe or unwelcomed. I was walking alone with my dog and everybody minded their own business after a polite hi. The place itself is clean and has a small kids area. The creek is quite clean but it does have that urban - not nature like. Not bad for a short walk if you live nearby.
Awesome place to get some sun n fun
Not much parking, so be ready to walk. The covered picnic/party area is great. Lots of shade and grass for everyone to have fun
Got some kind of ticket/warning for smoking on the Pavilion???
Quiet, good picnic areas.
Very nice park. Had a great time until park ranger to tight Levi came literally storming down the trail to let us know its a public park and we cant have party guests park in the lot after renting it out and being told we could. Also dont speak to other adults in a nasty chatising tone. Funny we started the party at 2pm and had no issue until a little old white lady came to observe us then made a hasty call and disappeared then ranger to tight Levi shows up. This is at 6pm while we have already had the party, are cleaning to leave. He tore down the sign placed so guests would know where the park is and threw it on the ground. If we had left it Im sure wed have received a littering fine. People of other races should speak before seeing colored people, blacks, whatever you refer to us as before just making calls because you can. We didnt bother anyone and making a call after being there all day was ludicrous. A great way to end our otherwise beautiful bday party for my 12 year old. Its funny while her lighter complected friends were there celebrating there was no issues and as soon as it was all black faces we started getting the why are you here looks and attitudes.
A bit shady because of the weird vans park Outside but this park ia great just to get away for a bit. I take my nephew just to play on the swings for a bit.
I adore this park. My dogs and I enjoy the beautiful grass. Play structure/area for kids, bbq areas, kids programs, and small basketball court.
Tiny park not enough parking, sorta has a creepy vibe. It needs work.
Nice park but the bathrooms are locked more often than not. Like the creek access and little hideaway over bridge.
Run down play area with caution tape. You know youre in a shady spot when no other mothers are here with their kids midday.
A good, small, quiet park
Nice lil park. Not too much there. Limited parkin
This place is cool if you want to kick it but if they think youre homeless its all bad
A clean park
Lovely oasis of trees and stream tucked into Hayward/Castro Valley. Pavilion for parties.
Quiet and pretty.
Small park not too crowded. Reserve picnic area
Nice place, come see
Small park with a tiny parking lot.....thankful for having a wagon to transport food from parking to tables.....beautiful weather and easy to walk to Japanese Tea Garden ..a jewel ....
It is a hidden gem of Hayward/Castro Valley area. Go slowly or youll miss the entrance. Brave the path to find a lovely park area.
Its alright, not very big, not many parking spots but nice place to have a picnic.
Used to love taking my kids there but now its full of homeless and drug addicts. Sad. Would love if it would shape up.
Just a nice chill place to hang out, sometimes it can be a little dirty but I cant blame them for that
Good for kids, but doesnt have much really going for it. Has a big picknic table area, and thats it
Nice and secluded
Small nice little park.
Mostly dog walkers butrstrooms only open Fri thru sun
Went to add this park to my run once. Had to turn around since there’s so many homeless people hanging around. Very sketchy...
To much litter
Good place
Great park, bring your dog or fly your kids
Isolated and shady
A good relax time
Does anyone know how much is it to reserve it ?
Full of trash and falling apart
Seems like there are unsavory people there during week days. I have tried this park 3 times...2 times people were doing drugs and such in parking lot ( only 8 or 9 spaces) the 3rd time a few homeless people were hanging out at restrooms.
Small creek side park big trees . A little surprise.
Lot of homeless in this park restroom r lock because of it
Great park
I love bees!!
Nice quiet location
I like the park you just see a lot of homeless people using drugs in the restrooms
Its a nice park its just kind of scary the way that it set up its kind of pushed back inside wouldnt recommend anybody to want to go by them self not that Ive had a bad experience or heard of anything bad if you get there youll see what Im saying you havent been there
Love shade
Awesome park, secluded
Friendly people
Too many seedy people hanging out here
Grate park
