I so needed a swim, and Hayward Plunge was just the place! four out of five for not having a swim suit spinner. I loved the old building and its charm, and everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful. not too much chlorine, water tasted a little funny, only two showers in the top floor, tiny locker room. apparently theres a locker room with showers in the basement that I hear is always cold, and probably inhabited by ghosts. super fun!

Never a problem here downstairs locker room is more private than upstairs ada locker room. Showers are great. Pool is awesome. Staff is always kind and nice. And if you just need a shower $5.They have classes as well. And get rocking about 6pm. With aerobic swimming.

Great local spot to get some lengths in while visiting from out of town.

As a child it was great now not as much ... Has its quaint surroundings still a 50s look. Its the people who abuse it are the problem

Wonderful pool that was built in the fifties and maintained well. They have good classes for adults better than Fremont which doesnt even have a pool.

Good spot to take the kids swimming. Better than I thought it would be.

Friendly staff and nice large pools. Life guards on all ends. Swim trainers are great teaching the children to swim. My child has learned so much. Only thing is lobby smells like urine. Otherwise I would of gave 5 stars.

5pm Friday more, place is pretty empty.the pool is closed.i liked just sitting with the trees. Lots of events goes on here.

Love the water aerobics classes. Plenty of room if you are a lap swimmer. Small size classes for the kiddies. Friendly staff and patrons. A Hayward institution.

I love swimming here. Sometimes theres a 10 min wait for swim lap but its a great place to swim workout.

Very nice indoor pool. We dont have much options for indoor pool nearby. Also, this one opens early by 6 itself which I was looking for. Friendly staffs that you wont feel uneasy for the first time itself.

I wish there was some privacy in the shower and dressing areas. I wish there was a shower in the family change room.

Indoor pool, soft (but cloudy) water, moderate temperature (not too cold), no chlorine smell, assigned lanes you dont have to share (!), and a great price ($5).

We signed up for toddler swim classes but the water was always so cold the kids were shivering.we left early most of the time and then stopped going eventually.

Great if you love swimming not much use if you dont. They have adult free swims and kid classes in a lil baby pool. Not a bad way to spend 4 bucks and get your new years workout resolution out of the way.

I did Junior lifeguarding there, everyone there is really nice there is only one bad accident but it wasnt on purpose everyone says sorry everyone forget for gave and forgot I love they were punch and Im going there tomorrow I love to swim I hate how it makes my hair feel achy but is worth it to swim me my Brother my brothers girlfriend my mom and my stepdad we are all going to the pool tomorrow and I cant wait!
