They open at 4pm Everyday, Great staff with 15 beers on tap. The new ownership is Outstanding! Great things coming to downtown Hayward, CA. They also have the Bay Area Arm Wresteling League !

Loved this place. My SO and I were in town for the week, with our baby and looking for something to do.. I was unsure this would be a family friendly place but was so pleasantly surprised. The general manager, who was off the clock, was at the bar with his wife. He engaged in conversation, offered us drink suggestions/info and samples. He even helped us carry everything to our spot and even suggested a better pool table with seating/sofas which would suit and ease our familys time there. Really incredible staff, Great drink selection, and plenty of pool tables/seating/drink tables etc. Im glad we ended up here. (I do admiy the atmosphere was slightly dingy, but what do you expect from a pool hall?)

It’s just a simple pool hall, they have a friendly staff, good music, its just that simple, chill, relaxed atmosphere.

New Owner! That means so many new upgrades, like: re-felted tables, new decor, cleaned up, beautiful wall murals, tasty CRAFT beers, new quality food, friendly and helpful staff, great music. I am so glad that this place is finally looking like it was meant to, a respectable local pool hall!

$14.50 for 2+ people /hr. High price for uneven tables.Good vibe. Friday night in Sept. wasnt packed in the least.

It is my pleasure to write this review for one of the best pool halls in town.I have been to chalk it up 3 times and each time only gets better than the last . You dont ever have to wait to shoot pool they have enough pool tables to satisfy each guest coming to enjoy time out with friends and family. The staff is extremely nice and they are really open for people to have fun. I have not experienced no drama here this place is really cool and laid back and id definitely recommend others to come here

Came here with my lil sis to have some fun. We rented out one of the pool tables for a couple hours. The table conditions were mediocre at best. Our table had duct tape to cover tears on the table and our cue sticks were beat up pretty good. But we still were able to enjoy playing despite the condition of our table. Ordered a couple beers while playing, not too bad at $4 a glass. I stayed away from the food based on other reviews I read. Then we spent some time playing some of the arcade games. This place is a little run down and and could use some upgrades. For $12 an hour I would think tables would be in better condition. Still, I found myself having a good time and enjoying my time here.

Theres something wrong with every table. Huge stains, cuts in the felt, protruding wood from a cracked frame, yet surprisingly little table roll. (at least on the table that I was on)Theres only a handful of tables in the hall worth playing on, and they charge way too much for the quality of their tables.Its a nice looking venue, but the tables are trash. Ive seen better bar boxes.

Great place to shot the breeze. The wait staff is kweI and the beer is cold. Their pinball machine is in constant need of repair, so practice your dart game?

Not like it was way back when... I used to come here when I was a teen over ten years ago. Before they sold alcohol and when the upstairs neighbor was an A.A. meeting-place; it was so clean then. Tonight, not so much. Tables need a definate makeover. The place literally opened 20 minutes before we got there and yet the place was dirty. Powder all over the floors and walls. All the pool cues were beat up. No chalk for the tips. The music was fine, the service was ok. It what it used to be though...I miss the jukebox. I guess it is what it is. But it could be better again.

Chalk it Up has reopened under new ownership. The tables have been repaired and its looking good in there.

Pretty chill. Prices were normal and beers were cold. Will definitely be back.

Our hours are changed.Sunday-Thursday 2 pm to 1 am.Friday and Saturday 2 pm to 2 amAll ages. Bring the family. No outside beverages. Food O.k. it is a Beer bar only tap and a lot of different bottle beers with limited cans (i.d required). Soon will have soccer pool its jus like pool so choose your kicks carefully^-^, we added new games, got a new touch tones- jukebox you control the music at box or by app from phone. A huge projection screen to watch sports games with many flat screen t.v.s, playing all the bay area teams take it for the win. A diverse crowd of different people from a lot of different groups to meet, from old school shot sinker to the newbie on first time out. Friendly atmosphere, so leave bad attitudes at the door. Street parking and rear parking (limited) but public lots around the corner. We do have a menu of for snacking and with only on Friday and Saturday is $2 tacos as well as all kinds of soft drinks. Tables are loose and price way too much. 14.50 for two people to play for an hour is waaaayyyy too much. Business might pick up if they lowered their prices.

We went on Sunday, Plenty of pool table no waiting but the restroom was dirty and smelly .

Tables are OK. Usually not busy, which I like so I can choose my table and practice in peace. But they dont stick to their hours. Its 430 on a Saturday and I just drove 15 miles to come practice and theyre not open. Irritating. Plus they close early a lot if not busy
