The staff are caring and I should know I still go to this school ya maybe the kids can be a little dramatic sometimes but it’s mostly fun

The secretary she has bad attitude all the time

Ken OBrien (the principal) is a joke. He does not have his priorities straight. He does not care about the students, after several encounters with him I learned that the hard way. The good kids are punished or taught lessons when the troubled children are praised for just getting through the day sometimes. I am sad to say that I really cant believe I am even writing this but I dont want other parents to be duped. What started out as a great experience has turned into such a nightmare.

If your child is in 7th grade dont bring them here the reason is Donna Busa in math class she never gives students a chance and gives work with not examples at all

My child came from a neighboorhood school to Kinsella and its like night and day. She has been challenged academically and has really come into her own and out of her shell. Even with budget cuts, theythey still offer different programming for the kids. They have a diverse student body which is great. My child has learned about different cultures. I do wish the teaching staff were a little more diverse. A few of the teachers come off cold but a majority of them are great. Also the teachers could use a dress code. We harp on our children to be in uniform, but some of the teacher do not dress appropriate.

I dont recommend this school for any students, my daughter was a all A student in 6th grade she went to kinsella in 7th and ever since they have teached her nothing her grades dropped and the principal is racist...

Its a very good school. I was in it in 2000. I miss my teacher mrs. Bruno. If anybody knows her pls mail me caz i am not in that country and i dont have their contacts. Thank you.

Too much drama !!

I havent been here for many years. I left back in 2013. I was there from Pre-k up until 4th grade. I am now an 8th grader, soon to be 9th. This school opens up the world for young children who are taking interest in the arts. My favorite thing to do when I was little was to sing. After I left this school my singing was always on point and I learned how to play 6 different instruments. I always got student of the month and always made As and Bs. This school changed everything for me and was the peak moment of realization of the love for music that I have. Most of my old teachers no longer teach there, and I miss all of them dearly. If youre considering applying to get your child into this school, please do! This school will change their life!

Kids Attend

Dont get me wrong, I love this school. But it puts a lot of pressure on the students from 6th grade, expecting the students to be mature enough to do the right thing. Im going into high school this year Im torn of either staying or going to East Hartford High. But, Kinsella is also where all my friends are, and that always makes my school year.

R.J kinsella has been a great school for my daughter. She has come out of her shell and is more outspoken. It has been a great success for my child.

I lost all respect for this school when my child was bullied by a teacher and high official school staff, and they tried to label my child as a problematic child to cover up for this teacher and one another and the sad part was he wasnt a problematic child he was a child with mental issues and because of their lack of inexperience with children with special needs and mental issues my child was tainted by their lack of compassion for a child with special needs i have no respect for this school nor their staff any body that asks me about my experience with this school i will always tell them and let them know that this school covers up for their staff when it comes to a parent compliant is sad and sick especially when it starts from the principal i withdrew my 2 youngest from that school and it was the best thing i ever did the sad part of all of this is that they still have their positions and walk those halls proudly SMH

I had my 2 kids at this school preschool until they graduate from 8 grade. The teachers are really good, specially mrs.Irma Carrilo was like a mother for my kids specially my daughter, the social worker Mrs. Figueroa a verry special person. Good to understands others and really helpfull in stressfull situations. I have god and bad experiance but from the bad ones i learn a lot and i become a better person. To mrs. Carillo and Mrs. Figueroa a special thank you for all those years
