Friendly staff. Showing current movies. Concessions prices are just below typical. Theatre is a bit small. 6 rows of floor seating and 3 rows of stadium seating. Overall enjoyable experience. Just get there early.

Movie theater. Downtown Hartford. A bar that allows you to bring your drink with you into the theater. It’s incredibly cool and not many cinemas that I have been to provide that extra perk.It’s really a cool place to see a premiere and is even better for happy hour cinema extravaganzas and post-convention nights out. All this in one of the most popping and active “nightlife” areas of Hartford.I took off a star for a couple of reasons: first, understand this is a theater in downtown Hartford and parking is probably not fun unless you happen to have parking garage access elsewhere. The seating and theaters themselves are nothing too special either and the number of movies playing at any one time is limited to the most popular. Finally, the selection of food and drinks (and their serving sizes for the price) could be be better. But overall it’s a great place to catch a movie if you happen to be in the city!

They validate parking, in the garage only, yet most are parking right in front versus walking around the corner from the garage. Make sure to check their website and not just Google, Fandango, or sites like that, because canceled movies are only reflected on their site. Restaurant hours have changed, so check that as well if you plan on grabbing a bite. I suggest just heading to Manchester, they have reclining seats, free parking, and and an food options.

This is quite a gem in downtown. The resturant is excellent while limited. The seats in the theater where comfy and you can bring adult beverages in with you. Great place to watch a flick.

The best theater in town for a date night. Has a restaurant with good food and excellent bartenders. Can bring your food and drinks into the theater to enjoy a movie. Comfortable seats. The staff is always courteous and friendly as well. My husband and I love going here and will continue to be repeat customers.

The theaters are small, but the seats are comfortable. Your can bring your beer in and your food as well. Its a great place to watch football on Monday nights! So fun to go for the games. They (I think ESPN radio) do takes at half time! Free to get in for football, and drink specials. Very fun indeed.

Great venue. Closer to Bears BBQ. Not the plushest seating, but damn close. Reasonable rates and you can bring your restaurant food and drink in.

Very modern decor comfortable roomy theater with great acoustic sound to inhance any movie experience. A tad chilly for this old mans taste at night but bring a sweater or a blanket for her and relax and watch movie viewing at its 21st Century best.

I love this theater! Its among one of the smaller theaters in Connecticut but the atmosphere is beautiful and extremely clean. Theres a restaurant inside and the food is excellent. You can even bring your drink from the restaurant in to the theater.

Nice theater, nice smaller feel but have several theaters and offer regular snacks/drinks as well as food and alcoholic beverages. In a nice area, easy to park in parking garage and get parking validated at theater to only pay $2 to park, and there are many places to eat in the same block as the theater, all intended to be walked to.

Friendly staff and a clean theatre. It offers your basic movie treats and also has a full kitchen and bar as well. The food is good and I really like their turkey sliders . Love the fact you can bring your purchased food and drinks ( alcohol) into the movie :)

I Love this Movie Theater, Its has a nice Out on a date Atmosphere, everything you need is Right there. it has food, adult beverages, and the usual movie goodies.(popcorn candy and soda). The Screening rooms vary from small to large. The sound quality is also excellent.

Great atmosphere, service and location. Its never empty nor is it ever too crowded...its just right. One of the best theaters in CT. Highly recommend.

Calm relaxing atmosphere. Went for movie night with a friend and we had drinks, appetizers and a long chat to catch up. In the end everything was so comfy and unrushed that we never made it in to see the movie. Will go back for the movie next time. Staff was very nice as well . Parking is validated but I thin that is only on certain nights and for the south parking lot only.

I go every Tuesday with my husband and kids and is a all day $6 dollar movie and from 12PM to 7PM is happy hour drinks for adults

Good theatres but - like basically every theater - their snacks are the priciest part of any visit.

Great location and its great they serve food and drinks in addition to concession and its also great that you can bring the food and drinks with you into the movie but table service was very slow. One waitress for several tables. Its almost better you can take food and drinks in with you. Youd never finish in time to get to our movie. I ended up grabbing our drinks twice off the bar as they had been sitting there a long time

It wasnt busy and the food was pretty good.

I had a wonderful time today seeing Black Panther. My friend and I sat for drinks before the movie and the bartender was very attentive and nice, even with other patrons being rude. The food was very good and I loved having different choices besides the average movie theater food. I could see the manager helping out the staff through a busy line which is always great to see.

A good place for quick bite and drinks while watching movie. I still enjoy coming here on occasion better than ant normal theater!Tuesday is bargain night 6$ movie.

The only place I will go for movies now. Great seating. Able to have sliders and wine in the theatre thru the confession stand. Parking is only $2 in the garage. Classy place. Best secret in Hartford!

Clean and accessible. Parking is at a premium unless you dont mind walking. Being able to drink alcohol in the theater was a bonus along with the expanded food menu. Theater was cleaned between movies and seating was adequate. $8 movie tickets before 6 pm was a nice surprise.

Was looking to do some low energy outing. Fro t Desk Personnel at Hartford Sheraton suggested taking a movie at the Spotlight. Great suggestion. The movie was gr8 and the snack I added to admission was good and affordable. When I am back in Hartford, I will return.

Very cool place. Has a bar inside of you want to sit and have a drink or bite to eat. I opted for a coffee from Starbucks which is walking distance. Chairs are nice and let you lean back and get comfy. Very clean.

This is such a nice theater, with a convenient parking garage - and the parking ticket is conveniently validated to only $2. There is a small bistro, and beer and wine are available to bring into the theater with your popcorn. Staff is friendly and helpful. Weve always had a great experience going to Spotlight Theater.

Went to see a movie with my wife and 2 kids and always try to go to this theater. It’s clean and seats are comfy. Joe who must be a manager because he is always there was at the ticket counter and couldn’t be nicer. We needed an extra cup and extra bag to split the popcorn and he didn’t skip a beat and was as helpful as can be. Always try to and will always continue to drive the extra 10 minutes to come to this theater.

The Spotlight is a great first run theater in a excellent location in Hartfords entertainment district with a good restaurant plus all the standard theater fare at the concession. You really cant ask for more in a theater. I was recently at the Academy Awards soiree at the Spotlight sponsored by AIDS Connecticut and had a great time, in part, due to everything the Spotlight offers.

One of my favorite places to go watch a movie. Perfect for a #DateNight great food, awesome seats and a Restaurant on location.

Nice and cozy. This was our first time and it wont be our last. Oh, they also have happy hour 7 days a week.

When we tried to go during the so called snow storm in March it wasnt open. We returned two days later and while the prices were decent it was a clean facility. The womens bathroom on the other hand could use a good scrub down.

Always come here with my kids. They always get food while watching movie. Usual spend about $100 for tickets & food every visit.Today my daughter got her usual NACHOS but they had a stale taste to them and she ate none of them I ended using her cheese for my fries... I asked to speak to someone regarding them and got nowhere all she said was they changed the brand of nachos thst she also noticed the difference but could not refund my $6.. REALLY DISSATISFIED ITS A TOTAL WASTE...WILL HAVE TO THINK TWICE BEFORE COMING BACK...

I was in Hartford the other day for a respectable and peaceful rally and decided to make a day out if it. Having been here before I decided to go back with my girlfriend and son. Sadly, because of the rally I attended, and the attire I had on that day, I noticed by a sign that had since been hung since my last visit that people like myself were no longer welcome here. The experience I had with such a sign posted was disheartening, to say the least. We went elsewhere and spent well over $150 where we were welcome. Youll never see my money again!

Id never heard of this place before a friend suggested it because its less crowded. At Buckland Hills the movie we wanted to watch was full, so we went here and the same movie had about ten people in the whole theater.

I love going to this theater. Small but very comfortable seating.

Great interior, I really like the aesthetics and the comfort of the seats. Im not so sure but I think theyre leather. Their nachos and cheese is pretty horrible though. Theres salt on the nachos (which have no flavor so all you taste is salt) and also salt in the cheese, which also has no flavor either.
