We are visiting from Nebraska and enjoy going to local wineries. The staff was very friendly. We had trouble narrowing down our favorites as all the wines were very good. We will definitely come here again the next time were visit.

Myself and 3 of my best friends visited DiMatteo winery on Saturday March 14, 2020. We drove 2.5 hrs to try new wineries out of comfort zone. When we entered the winery the sign said “Tasting $8” but right away a very vocal lady spoke up $10 for tasting. 2 friends paid with credit cards and 2 of us paid with cash. The same lady started reprimanding her employees saying that only three of us paid. Kind of embarrassing! They escorted us to a back room to taste if that is what you could call it. They didn’t even pour enough wine in your glass to get a taste. I have literally visited 100’s of wineries and I have never experienced tasting in this manner. The young lady pouring and explaining the wines didn’t even give you chance to put your class down she was going to the next wine.We tasted maybe 12 wines in 10 minutes. We felt very rushed and there wasn’t that many people there In the first place and worst experience ever.None of us bought anything once again because you didn’t get enough in your glass to even taste the wine. This site doesn’t allow me to post any pictures or I’d post a picture of my wine glass with hardly any wine to taste! How cheap could they be??Right before we left the same vocal employee comes into the wine tasting room shooting off her mouth that another group of 3 only paid for 2 tastings to make sure that one person didn’t taste! Are you freaking kidding me?I do NOT recommend going to this winery!

Came here for a wine tasting and the service was horrible. Worst tasting experience ever. When we asked for information about each pour, she acted annoyed and said well what do you want me to say? We bought our daughter here for her first wine tasting expecting a much different experience. My husband and I have been to many wineries and this was our first time here. We’ll never come back.

Well this was the 3rd winery and last stop and what a homerun; it was like the grand finale of all 3 winerys!! Right off the bat the crowd of people were so friendly! Anthony, behind the bar pouring our tastings of wine, was Amazing and Funny!!!! Anthony talked about the history of the grapes. The place is small and its awesome!! You cant go wrong with any wine, sweet or dry and so well balanced!! My wife and I are glad we were able to get here before it closed, we ended up buying 2 bottles of wine. We live close buy all these amazing wineries and we are so lucky.South Jersey makes the best wines. If your on your tour, make Dimatteos a stop, trust me, you will blow your palate away with ever taste. We just want say thank you to Anthony for an amazing experience!!

I had an issue with this winery at the Seaside Heights Wine Festival, then now again at Six Flags Grape Adventure this past weekend. Two of the ladies that serve the wine during wine tasting are very nasty. When I asked one of them for another sample of their Plum Wine, the lady responded with an attitude Only one tasting per wine is allowed. I was thinking of purchasing that wine, plus others..but with that attitude, I will never purchase from then again. Another couple we were with at Grape Adventure went over to their table later in the day and was greeted in the same nasty way.BTW after leaving their table at Grape Adventure, I went to the other winery vendors and had no issue with additional tastings. I walked away with over a case of wine that day. Never will I purchase anything from these people again.

Beyond impressed!!This past Sunday we hosted a bridal shower for our sister/daughter at DiMatteo Winery. From the start I was overwhelmed and when I pulled up and began unloading my car 4 gentlemen rushed over to help me. I was not expecting such kindness in today’s age. So knowing those type of people frequent the winery is a plus!! Then you have the sweetest staff/winetender Jackie, and she knows how to make a killer sangria!!!! The room our party was in was perfect!! I would recommend hosting a gathering or even just a beautiful day out on their patio sipping a glass or two, maybe more of their wine. Tucked away, it’s definitely a place to relax and enjoy life with friends!

Dimatteo has a beautiful Arbor. I hosted by Best friend Bridal shower here and it was the perfect venue. Jackie and Frank were so welcoming and extremely nice and easy to work with. Aside from the great service their wine serves all taste buds. They have something for everyone. You can go dry or super sweet. My favorites are the Black Eye and the strawberry wine. If you enjoy a nice relaxing atmosphere and a delicious glass of wine, then look no further. This is a MUST!!!

My friend and I stopped here on an afternoon biking to a couple wineries and DiMatteo was the clear winner of the two we stopped at. Frank was a wonderful host, and the tasting here is a real bargain compared to some other wineries in the area. The tasting room is small, so it wouldnt be great for a huge group, but the AC was ice cold on a hot day, which was great. We each left with a bottle of the Merlot, which was really fantastic. When friends from out of town are skeptical about New Jersey wine, this is the kind of place Id take them to!

One star for the wine itself zero for the service after my fiancé, two friends and myself got lectured by the older gentleman. He caused a scene, telling us he’s not a mind reader and we need to be more prepared with our selection when he came over. What he didn’t take into consideration was our party except for our fiancé was DONE with our tasting. My fiancé wanted to try their signature red which i asked him for once he came over. I understand there was a lot of people and I’m sure he was being pulled in many directions, but you lost 4 customers that day. And as I’m sure you know word travels fast.

We visited Dimatteo Vineyards as part of a company sponsored wine trail. Frank Diamtteo was a wonderful host as was his tasting presenter (forgive me for not remembering her name). It was also the location of some of my favorite wines...especially the Buleberry Wine and the Jersey Red. I cannot wait to return to this winery and share it with friends and family. For the previous reviewer who wasted our time talking about his bad directions....are you serious? Thats not why we read reviews. Do not miss this awesome winery on your New Jersey wine trail!

Dimatteo Vineyards was the first stop on our trolly wine tour. The address for the winery is 8th street. While on our way there we enountered a road that was closed and we had to make our own detour. We called the winery to see of there was an easier way around it, and the lady on the phone told us that the address was 8th ave, which is a completely different location than 8th street! We finally found the winery on 8th street after a lot of confusion. The set-up to check in a board the trolly was very good, and the trolly driver was even better! Dimatteo winery was the last stop on the tour, and when we came back the people at the winery decided that putting 32 people at a bar (that was entirely too small) was a good idea for the tasting. Aside from that, the wines were good and the staff was pleasant!

This was our second winery and the first must have just left us star-struck, because this one fell short. Bar is tiny, tasting is limited to 7 things, our price was quoted to us as one thing by the tour organizer, and when we went to the winery the person wouldnt honor it and asked us to pay more! Not thrilled.
