At the visitors center there is a museum that tells the history of the Batso area. There are many relics from the past on display, some of them you can touch and feel. And the animals of that area are on display. The visitors center also house a large theater, and a general store. There is also a guided tour of the Batso mansion and other buildings on the property which contains past history of the area. An excellent day trip for the family with a lot of history!

A good place to start a visit to historic Batsto Village. Grab a map to help you navigate the place with ease. Be sure to also check the small museum within the Visitor Center to learn about the history of the once-thriving industrial community and the attractions on-site. There are restrooms and a souvenir store. Admission is free but donations are welcome.
